IBIS but even more basic
Okay so this was the 2nd IBIS we’ve stayed at in Mulhouse during our travels and by far the one needing some care and upgrades. I’m not expecting excellence with this hotel chain and to be fair the bed was comfortable and the water hot so basic needs met. It wasn’t the cleanest and the toilet seat was chipped. The wall colours were so depressingly decorated with a single red panel meant to brighten up the rooms. Breakfast was minimal ( compared for example with IBIS in Calais). The shop bought cakes were laid out in the packets and other details that looked shabby. Staff were nice and friendly. Car parking was free. Dinner was overpriced and mediocre but we’d drove from Italy so settled. Probably would give it a miss on our next European tour.

Got asked to pay the hotel fully at arrival and I forgot I already paid in Expedia. They couldn’t do the refund on site so asked a remote colleague to deal with it, I still don’t knownifninwasbtefunded successfully or not, the receptionist couldn’t confirm when I left on day 2. My bedroom was not serviced well: new towels dropped not folded on top of the toilets which isn’t the cleanest place to out serviettes. My bed wasn’t made (o did not take part in the scheme to cancel the room being cleaned in exchange of a drink so I expected to have the room serviced fully) A few bits and bobs like the soap in the shower which was not fixed to the wall (must have broke and didn’t get fixed) But bed is comfortable, breakfast is delicious, I love the size of the table for working in the bedroom, staff is polite, plenty of car park spaces (yet they must fix the potholes). Located close to a few places to eat and a big commercial center, so very good for business stay.

Absolutely will stay at Ibis again
We were very pleasantly surprised; we arrived late into the night, the front desk clerk was very friendly and our room was exceptionally clean and the bed super comfortable.

Great hotel for overnight stopover
Stayed here as overnight stop on the way to Italy. Comfortable room. Very friendly & helpful staff. Had evening meal here which was very good. Breakfast was also very good, plenty of choice and they catered for gluten free diet.

Good location and standard reliable Ibis quality
Ibis hotels speak for themselves, generally a cut above mid range rivals. At Mulhouse the restaurant served excellent dish of the day in the evening. The lady overseeing breakfast needs to know room entry cards on tables don't need taking away when the guest is at the buffet selecting their food. Also not to attempt restocking clean cups while a guest is getting coffee and therefore has to move out of her way. Neither was her attire appropriate, no uniform or even tabbard just civvies which were a bit 'tired'.

Comfortable stopover hotel
A well run chain hotel - helpful staff and it was in good condition. Ideal for a stopover our way to Italy. Had we stayed a while we would have liked a pool etc, although it is in an industrial zone with some other hotels rather than a tourist area.

Hotel is good value for money. It's very cheap, and therefore basic, but it is clean, the breakfast buffet is good, and the staff were very responsive. Only downside was the room we were first given stank of smoke, despite being a no smoking hotel. That isn't really the hotel's fault though. They gave us a new room right away.

Well appointed
Had a great stay at the Ibis. Rooms were clean and serviced everyday even over the christmas holiday. Not extravagant but well appointed and in a nice quite area.

Adequate for a one night stay.
Ideal for overnight stay on way to Paris Airport. Rooms are clean but small. Located in small industrial area off the motorway. Restaurant on site with limited menu. Breakfast is also available at an extra cost.

I had real trouble finding the hotel without sat-nav. Luckily this hotel has 24 hour staff and a very kind night porter talked me through a jungle of roundabouts on a business park to get there. Merci beaucoup whoever you are. Room was clean and comfortable.

Motor museum base
Good base for the motor and railway museums. Does the job for a couple of nights maximum. Problem is the coach parties that descend like locusts and take the place over - a problem with many hotels in August.

I'm really happy with the hotel. Our room was cozy, clean and I particularly enjoyed the bed which was really comfortable. Location is perfect for those like us who need a relaxing and affordable stop over not too far from the motorway. I believe this hotel is superb value for money and I would strongly recommend it. This was a good value accomodation very helpful staff and good clean rooms. The location was close to the city and sights but there were no restaurants handy but food good at hotel.
