Our stay was pleasant although the weather was not.Our first visit to Harrogate & The Majestic did not disappoint. On checking in we were told that we were upgraded, the room was lovely, clean & quite big though not as big as our friends, they had not been upgraded. We had lovely white bathrobes & slippers (they did not). Breakfast was buffet & very good although we waited quite awhile for tea& coffee.
In parts the hotel is very tired in places & need more staff as there was waiting at the bar as well as breakfast
We had a fabulous time Christmas shopping and staying in this very comfortable hotel.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning next year and not just for Christmas shopping.

Just returned after a 2 night stay at the White hart hotel, yes the rooms are on the small side and a little dated but the hotel is lovely and great value for money, it has a great location. We had excellent service from Steve on reception with everything from toothpaste to milk, thanks again Steve. The restaurant was nice although the food was not quite up to the same standard as our 1st visit and found the menu limiting. Overall it's a great hotel and we lived the fat badger cocktails will be back again
Visited for a short stay and found the hotel in an ideal location for getting around the town. All the staff were friendly and helpful. On this visit the main bar was closed for private function, alternative bar area in hotel was ideal, quiet and surprisingly not too expensive. Only downside of stay is restricted parking at hotel, but staff will help by directing you to alternative parking a few minutes away. Will probably visit Harrogate again in summer, would definitely consider this hotel.
We checked in easily on Saturday at about 4pm and were shown to our room. Room was nicely laid out and spotlessly clean and tidy but, perhaps a bit on the small side?
Dinner was fantastic, not cheap but, every component was of the highest quality and had been prepared to the highest standard. Breakfast was the same- we both had 2 poached eggs and they were perfect - this is what I mean by added care and attention; everything is carried out to a high standard. The bar and restaurant area is presented to a very high standard and well laid out/spotless

A thoroughly enjoyable stay! It was money well spent. Very conveniently placed for the town centre but still quiet so you didn't feel that close. Lovely room, very clean (cleaned every day) and we felt instantly at home.

Booked via Expedia and got a great deal.
Ideally situated for town centre and attractions.
Much larger than expected - wasnt that obvious from the pictures and description on Expedia. Lovely large airy entrance foyer, lots of places to sit, nice big reception.
We arrived 2pm (check in was 3pm) and though our room wasn't ready the friendly reception staff said we could putt our bags in the luggage room and they'd let us know when it was ready.
We sat in the light and airy foyer, although there is lots of seating around in the bar area too and ordered a mini afternoon tea. This came beautifully served on a slate platter and was delicious and good value for money.
Returning to the hotel after dinner we entered the foyer to be greeted by live dance music and couples ball room dancing - it was lovely to watch.
The hotel did seem to be frequented by elderly clientele- think Sagatastic coach trips and there was a definite ballroom/ sequence dancing theme to both days we were there.
The breakfast in the morning was good - buffet style continental and hot cooked breakfast, all very nice.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean but way too hot - the hotel in general is very warm - we slept with the window open which was fine - it's quiet around the hotel. The room was large and beds comfortable, the bathroom was a bit small but spotlessly clean.
The only downside to this hotel is the decor & furniture are all in need of refreshing.
I would stay again.
