A very nice stone building with a park across the road in a very busy area in town. The motel we stayed at was not the photo but the next building next door. Had to pay 12 pound to park in addition of the cost which they should state.

£12 charge to park the car not listed in hotel advert. Diabolical rooms facing extremely noisy kitchen extractor and tiny beds. We needed to have window open to keep cooler as no fan provided but the extractor was going to 1am and restarted at 6am so we had almost no sleep. Public areas very tatty.

Attractive, very well appointed property in Harrogate's Montpelier Quarter close to points of interest, shopping and restaurants. There is on site parking though the spaces are very narrow. So watch out, as our car got dented and scuffed. You can save £12 a night by free on-street parking further along the road (6pm-9am). Buffet breakfast was basic and very limited in choice though not expensive. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The Fat Badger bar is popular and makes excellent cocktails. Our room was small but well kitted out. The downside was not having air conditioning. The room was unbearably hot and stuffy at nights even though daytime temperatures never exceed 20C.
