Like other B&Bs this was an older home that had been somewhat remodeled to create a shared residence. I did not think the location on one of the main roads was great and the gardens would have been prettier with a little weeding. There was a pond on the grounds, just a caution to parents with young children. The hosts were kind. We opted to stay on the 3rd floor as it was the only room with a king bed even though it was the least fancy. The host pointed out it was more of a "family" suite, with a king bed in one bedroom, a small shared living space and bathroom, and a twin bed in another room. I could see it working well for a small family except that it is up two long flights of narrow stairs and it takes you past all of the other guest rooms, which would be noisy for the other guests. We did have the opportunity to see the other suites and they were very nice. Our suite was well stocked with everything you could possibly need to feel at home, and the feather bed was very comfortable. There was dining area where all guests had breakfast at their leisure and had an opportunity to meet each other. For me that is one of the charms of a B&B. Instead we were told our breakfast would be brought to us on a tray between 8:45 and 9:00. It was left at the bottom of the last set of stairs and I had to carry it the rest of the way up the steep narrow stairs. The food was just ok, but nothing special. Slow WIFI. I would try another B&B in the area before I would go back to this one.
