The Queen's Hotel is situated a short tram ride from Hannover City Centre (tram stop at the end of the approach road to the hotel). It is located right beside Tiergarten, the ancient hunting forest of the Electors of Hannover. It is a beautiful setting and, for the most part, pretty quiet, with only occasional audible background noise from the main road.
The hotel is very clean and well kept in a plush, conservative, 'Art Deco' style. Rooms have quality fitments with a lovely bathroom. The beds are on the hard side of comfortable for most British tastes but I have found that this is a German preference and as most their guests will be German I can't criticize that too much. I have stayed at the Queen's Hotel now on four occasions, three of them over the Christmas holiday. The hotel provides a stunning Christmas Buffet lunch and the restaurant food is of a very high standard.
The staff are wonderful, very polite, very forgiving of my German:-) and all speak good English. All staff at the hotel seem to work very hard and are conscientious. The cleaners do a fantastic job, rooms are spotlessly clean, every day, with everything neatly arranged.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to a visitor to Hannover, especially if you are looking for something in quieter surroundings. The walks around Tiergarten are beautiful at any time of year.
