Nice setting but disappointing room.

Posted 01-Dec-2016
Pros: The grounds.
Cons: Update the 'budget' rooms and remove all the sticky message tape. It looks cheap.
Location: Close for Farnborough.
The room I stayed in could benefit from an update. The room felt damp the second I walked in. The bathroom had a 'damp' smell to it, but the worse thing was the black mould around the window in the bedroom.

Clean, quiet and comfortable

Considering the price, the room was very nice. Bed was comfortable and we had a nice view of the fields at the back. Bathroom had a bath and shower which was useful. All in all a lovely stay.

Did not get any sleep

Posted 03-Nov-2016
Was placed in a room where there was a large building or high shed so I had no view what so ever to look out from the window. Which I did not complain about. All I wanted was to get a good night's sleep and have a lay in. Was woken at 4 am with people talking and banging things around. So was really tired. Just make sure you don't end up in part of he hotel.

A little tired but good value for money,

Posted 29-Oct-2016
Our room was a little tired, however our main complaint is the double bed - obviously used regularly by singles there was a dip in the centre which meant it wasn't very comfortable for a couple.

Lovely location, great access routes

Posted 24-Oct-2016
Pros: The room was very nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Could not fault it
Cons: The parking in and around the annexe building as there were not enough spaces for all the rooms. Bit of a first come first served
Location: I had good knowledge of area having been resident for a number of years. Plenty to do in Reading or Sandhurst which are both nearby
Had a lovely ground floor room with french doors outside. The grounds were lovely to walk around. The main house is a spectacle to look at. I stayed in the annexe further down the drive. The room was very spacious. there was an adjacent building with a lounge area with large flat screen tv, pool table and access to unlimited tea and coffee. The shower was lovely and powerful. Copious amounts of hot water.

Terrible hotel - avoid.

Posted 29-Aug-2016 on Hotels
Terrible room in a hotel that has seen better days. This is not up to the standard of DeVere Hotels. The estate focuses on weddings and has little interest in anyone else staying there. Our room, in the Grange, was damp, had not been cleaned in some time, the furniture was old and broken. I've stayed in better equipped tents.

Just under perfect

Friendly staff , with beautiful nature surrounding the historic house. Only minus would be chaos at the breakfast serving if a wedding was being held at the hotel, first told to eat at grange, places were set but no food to be seen, so we walked over to the main dinning room where we had to wait about 10 mins for a place for breakfast.
