Great, friendly staff. Lovely room and bathroom. The stand alone bath and big shower were was so nice. Everything well presented, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was decent if not outstanding. The thatched buildings are well preserved. Next to beautiful fields though fairly busy roads nearby so not totally quite but peaceful enough. Shame the TV was not a Smart TV. The toilet seat was wobbly and toilet handle a bit faulty but this didn't distract from a recommended stay.

Great place to stay close to Southampton
Weekend at The Pilgrim as a base to visit Southampton, Christmas Market. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful and the room was a good size and spotless, breakfast was excellent with a good number of options available. Had an enjoyable stay and would recommend The Pilgrim as a place to stay close to Southampton.

Loved my double room, clean, tidy, spacious, with a comfy bed. Lovely bathroom with selection of products. Artisan coffee was beautiful with chocolates left. Close to road but was surprisingly quiet. Will be again as convenient with pub doing great food in a lovely cottagy feel environment. Just perfect x

Brilliant
Cannot fault our stay. The accommodation is separate to the main pub therefire we were not disturbed. Quaint thatched roof building. Room clean large and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Evening meal was great. good location for our visit to Beaulieu. Highly recommended

Great room let down by the cleanliness
Absolutely stunning room, let down badly by how dirty it was. The bedroom & bathroom floors has not been vacuumed before my arrival & the sides/skirting boards in the bathroom were stained & coverd in dust. I complained to the manager on day 7 of my 10 day stay about this & the fact there was no milk in the room again for a drink after comming back from work was something done. Basically the cleaners had just been making the bed every morning & nothing else.

Room size very good, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, but the linen was stained and a pillow case had opened on one of the seams. Quiet at night, but positioned between two roads.

Overal it suited the purpose. The main problem was the odour in the hallway to our room. It smelt like dog urine but not sure. Rooms do experience some road noise as two busy roads either side of property FYI Dinner again was OK. The menu in the room for the bar/pub was different to the one in the bar/pub. Obviously an old version. Parking was good and there was enough space

Nice hotel. Room generally clean and tidy. Cobweb behind door in bathroom and curtains in bedroom missing loads of hooks so looked a little tatty. Staff nice and check in quick and easy. Food in pub was good.

Great stay and very well looked after
The hotel was lovey unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn’t working correctly on the call bell from hotel to pub, so we had a bit of a wait. Once shown to our rooms they were lovely, very comfortable and very well equipped. The staff were lovely and they catered beautifully for us and our dog that we took with us.

A Nice Place to Stay
We stayed here in room 12 for the Beaulieu Supercar Weekend in early August. Our room was a little dark but not an issue. We struggled to get comfortable in the bed but maybe that was just us. The tea and coffee facilities were good but the coffee pods were unlabelled and so we didnt use them. The bathroom was excellent and the shower was outstanding. There is a lovely victorian style free standing bath but beware! The management have decided to secure all the soaps and shampoos to the wall near the sink and in the shower, which means once you are in the bath (no Bubble bath) you have no soaps! Meals across the way in the pub are pleasing but not outstanding, although the service staff in there were fantastic.

Staff was amazing and accommodating. Property is in a great location and very quiet and private. And the pub next door was an amazing place with great food atmosphere!! we will definitely be returning to this spot!

Excellent family stay
All the rooms were individually styled, clean and reasonably spacious, which made a lovely change from corporate sameness in so many hotels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good quality and plentiful, though not gourmet. The accommodation was separate from the pub which meant it was quiet. I would happily stay again.

smart spacious room and bathroom, latter with roomy walk-in shower with rain shower head with plenty of hot water...secondary glazing excellent at blocking noise from nearby marchwood bypass....all staff a delight...low-point=asked for nice runny egg yolks at breakfast but they arrived 'hard' ..... however would happily stay again since the rooms are lovely....

Spent only two nights there. Pleasant room, pleasant surroundings and good service. Breakfasts were pretty good but felt there could have been a better selection of fruit , possibly a fruit salad choice . Never mind, it was nicely cooked and the evening meals had a very good menu.

Nice, quaint inn. Very good breakfast. No elevator to upper floors and narrow stairs. Not close to the port. 40 euro taxi ride. Not in the city of Southampton. Staff was excellent.
