Just a stop-over. Cannot fault the establishment and its staff. Very bad sleepless night because there is a minimum of ventilation possible and with no air conditioning it was stiflingly hot

Nice hotel but a bit dated room

Posted 22-Jan-2016
I expected a bit more for the category of price i paid for a suit. The hotel itself is nice, location is good too but the superior room we stayed in all in pink, furniture style looks cheap and dated

Centre of the Town

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, facilities and restaurant.
Location: Walks to quay and bird sanctuary. Restaurants. Bars. Shops. Isle of Wight.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stanwell House Hotel. Although quiet, it is centrally situated in the town centre and therefore close to all amenities. The harbour/quay is a stones throw away. The bird sanctuary is no more than a 15 minute walk as is the station and ferry terminal for boats to the Isle of Wight. We dined in the restaurant and were provided with a range of excellent food.
