The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, amazing breakfast and lots of options.
Shower rail was quite rusty so the curtain didnt pull smoothly. The bed was very comfortable with lovely soft sheets although i hardly slept due to loud almost constant noise of what sounded like the heating. I turned the radiator off but it made no difference unfortunately so if i came again id not stay in rom 15.
Wi-Fi. Very poor and unable to use it. Rather than just putting a password in like most other places, you have to open an account and supply all your personal details first. (to sell on to other parties) This is not acceptable so we were unable to use the internet which meant we missed important messages and were unable to research local places of interest.

My room was over the reception area and we were crept awake by being able to hear conversations in this area, also after eventually getting some little sleep being woken again early morning with the same problem.
The bed was also to small and on my side the mattress collapsed if you got to near the edge which was mealy all the time because of the bed being to narrow.
Rooms were very clean and neat. Centrally located in the middle of Fareham. With an easy walking distance of the train station and the bus terminal, multiple restaurants within walking distance, however, you didn't need to go anywhere because the Red lions own house restaurant was absolutely delightful. I looked forward to breakfast every morning as it was superb.Super peaceful uncluttered atmosphere and the morning wait staff was second to none. Definitely my go to place when I stay in the area :-)
This is a lovely hotel. The room is clean. The bathroom huge. We had a meal last night which was delicious. This is excellent hotel and great value for money.
Easy parking, nice welcome at reception, room clean and tidy, heating not working in the room,we reported on the way to the bar it was fixed when we got back, restaurant food good and reasonably priced. Will definitely stay again.
A two night stay to visit family. We were warmly greeted on arrival and checking in was quick and easy. Room was comfortable and warm and very quiet. As we have stayed before we know that we would have no problems.
Exactly what I needed for my stay. Clean and spacious room. Powerful shower. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast included which was a combination of continental and cooked food.

Hotel lovely, shower controls a little hit and miss. Staff great, parking plentiful. Perfect place to stay seeing I was working only a few minutes away
Have stayed here previously and really liked the Hotel, since I was last there I feel that standards may have dropped a little. The food and service in the bar/restaurant was not as good as it used to be.

Reasonable stay, hotel could do with modernising and most of the staff are pleasant.
This was my first trip outside of London while having to do dialysis. The area was very quiet, and easy to get around, the room was perfect and it was a lovely place overall.
The hotel is very old and would benefit from some updating. Very clean comfortable bed, although the room was very hot, we did turn down the radiator and leave the window open didn't make much difference. The bathroom was clean but in need of updating. If you struggle with stairs ask for a ground floor room. We didn't stay for breakfast as we had a 7.45 train and service didn't start until 8.00 on Sunday. Not unreasonable.
A very nice cosy hotel/pub. Bedroom was a good size, very comfy mattress, and clean. The only suggestion I have is that more attention is paid to cleaning the sink plug hole. The sink was clean, but I shut my eyes whilst cleaning my teeth! Get a good bottle brush!

Well situated for local amenities but be aware that the plumbing has issues with hot water and drainage. Also web site said breakfast included but was later informed that it cost an additional £12. Staff friendly and helpful.
We're a group of 6 America women on vacation. Red Lion Inn is a quaint hotel with spaceous, clean rooms.
Be prepared for stairs. There is no lift. There is also no air conditioning. Fortunately, the windows open and there was a fan.
Fareham is a beautiful city. Easy to walk and explore. Would love to go again!
Hotel was pleasant. Room was fine and it was clean. Unfortunately i was there on one of the hottest days if the year and the small desk fan really wasn't doing much but the hotel cannot control the weather. We had dinner and breakfast and was very nice.
