"A One Night Stand!"
Needed accommodation near to Guilford for one night after dropping son off at Surrey University. Booking was done on line and very straight forward. Warm welcome on arrival mid evening. Very comfortable ground floor room. Various restaurants available within walking distance and a good pub. Chose Italian with decent food and wine at a reasonable price. Excellent night's sleep and then a wonderful breakfast. Very friendly atmosphere and would recommend to both short and longer stay visitors.

"Much better than expected."
Booked and arrived the same day as a last minute visit. It is in the middle of no where, so do plan your travel first. We arrived, checked in quickly, and was given room 35. This was in their new wing and was very nice. Staff were all friendly in the hotel. The swimming pool is small and very shallow at one end. Great if you have kids, not so great if you want to swim a few lengths in the morning. Think of it as a relaxing pool than one to complete a work out. Next door is a pub. Food was average / good for a pub, and the beers are local. On the pricey side, but all staff friendly and attentive.

"Good stopping point on the Avon Valley Path"
I late decision to try the Avon Valley Path (from Salisbury to the sea!) again meant, inevitably, a stay in Fordingbridge - but it was a late decision, in July too. The Augustus John had a room which was fine for the night, and a bar that managed to find some food for me late after arrival. All in all, a good stopping off point for those walking the AVP. Recommended.

"Nice hotel but a bit dated room"
I expected a bit more for the category of price i paid for a suit. The hotel itself is nice, location is good too but the superior room we stayed in all in pink, furniture style looks cheap and dated

Pocket Guide: Pet Friendly Hotels in Hampshire

Blessed with a plethora of wide open spaces, Hampshire is an ideal county for those who want to get to grips with the Great Outdoors or those who have children and want to get some fresh air in their lungs. Deciding to take a break away from home can have its problems, especially if you own a dog. The thought of your four-legged friend pining away in a kennel or not having his regular treats can be enough for some people to cut their trip short or even abort the plan altogether. Now you needn't worry - Hampshire has a growing number of pet-friendly hotels, ranging from B&Bs and guest houses, to luxury country houses. With plenty of dog-friendly attractions throughout the county, bringing your pet with you doesn't have to be a problem.

    Pet-Friendly Hotels in Hampshire

The Three Cups Inn in Stockbridge is an excellent example of a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel. Set close to a beautiful riverside walk and with the dog-friendly attraction of Danebury Iron Age Hill Fort just a short stroll away, there's plenty for the whole family to enjoy. The Augustus John, in Fordingbridge, is another pet-friendly hotel. Set close to the New Forest National Park and another riverside walk, it offers comfortable and characterful accommodation and a bounty of things for dog-owners to see and do.

    Luxury Hotels That Permit Dogs

You'll even find a number of luxury hotels that accept dogs on their premises. Stanwell House is a boutique hotel offering luxury-standard lodgings with all the little attentions to detail that elevate a stay from being good to outstanding. Although there are a good many dog-friendly attractions just a short drive away, visit during the colder months and you'll find that Lymington Beach is happy to allow dogs onto its sands.

    Wide Open Spaces

If you're stopping for a weekend, the Ibis Southampton Centre offers unpretentious surroundings and is well placed for a number of attractions that are pet-friendly. Itchen Valley Country Park is a superb place for families to visit and dogs are permitted, although they must wear leads in certain areas. The Manor Farm Country Park is also nearby, offering 400 acres of beautiful countryside and woodlands, in which to roam.

Book into a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel and your entire family can enjoy some downtime together - with no exceptions!
