"Great hotel in the heart of the New Forest"
Came in on motorbikes for a weekend break away and we were greeted nicely, sometimes some areas are either intimidated or dislike anyone in motorcycle gear but luckily when we arrived we were given smiles and helpful staff. They showed us to the room and we loved it! Was a little bit on the small side but it had a cozy homely feeling to it which we both loved! Although does not include air conditioning. After a nights rideout we came back to relax and fall alseep I used their bath as I was unsure of how the shower head part worked and whilst trying to turn the hot water off the tap came off with the immediate reaction of "Oh sh*t" but despite that, it gave the room a bit of character! My partner was wet from our rideout as it was torrential rain and we asked if there was anywhere to dry off her gear and the staff took the clothing and put it into the owners personal tumble dryer which was amazing of them! The beds were comfy, the rooms were cozy, the breakfast was delicious and I really enjoyed my stay! I recommend others to go you wont get 5 star with butlers on command as such but its brilliant for a week/weekend away to enjoy the lovely scenery of the New Forest! 8/10

"Nice - great location - but Rave-a-licious!!"
No complaints about the hotel. It was just fine & very comfortable & accommodating. However, if you select this hotel (or the other 2 nearby) make sure you ask for a room on the backside. There is a Mc Donald's that faces these hotels and it features an incredibly noisy ALL NIGHT RAVE in the parking lot - even during the week! Don't plan on sleeping unless you get a room in the back. Other than that, it's less than 5 minutes & $5 via taxi to the cruise terminal & 2 minutes to the train station. Stonehenge awaits! Hotel staff told us they are seeking an ordinance against Mickey D's for allowing the rave. Let's hope they are successful. So, I say 'uncomfortable' based on the noise.....

When we went to get our breakfast one morning I came back to find the waitress taking away our cutlery, cups of tea etc., that we had not even touched, not good practice.

Pocket Guide: Pet Friendly Hotel in Hampshire

Blessed with a plethora of wide open spaces, Hampshire is an ideal county for those who want to get to grips with the Great Outdoors or those who have children and want to get some fresh air in their lungs. Deciding to take a break away from home can have its problems, especially if you own a dog. The thought of your four-legged friend pining away in a kennel or not having his regular treats can be enough for some people to cut their trip short or even abort the plan altogether. Now you needn't worry - Hampshire has a growing number of pet-friendly hotels, ranging from B&Bs and guest houses, to luxury country houses. With plenty of dog-friendly attractions throughout the county, bringing your pet with you doesn't have to be a problem.

    Pet-Friendly Hotels in Hampshire

The Three Cups Inn in Stockbridge is an excellent example of a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel. Set close to a beautiful riverside walk and with the dog-friendly attraction of Danebury Iron Age Hill Fort just a short stroll away, there's plenty for the whole family to enjoy. The Augustus John, in Fordingbridge, is another pet-friendly hotel. Set close to the New Forest National Park and another riverside walk, it offers comfortable and characterful accommodation and a bounty of things for dog-owners to see and do.

    Luxury Hotels That Permit Dogs

You'll even find a number of luxury hotels that accept dogs on their premises. Stanwell House is a boutique hotel offering luxury-standard lodgings with all the little attentions to detail that elevate a stay from being good to outstanding. Although there are a good many dog-friendly attractions just a short drive away, visit during the colder months and you'll find that Lymington Beach is happy to allow dogs onto its sands.

    Wide Open Spaces

If you're stopping for a weekend, the Ibis Southampton Centre offers unpretentious surroundings and is well placed for a number of attractions that are pet-friendly. Itchen Valley Country Park is a superb place for families to visit and dogs are permitted, although they must wear leads in certain areas. The Manor Farm Country Park is also nearby, offering 400 acres of beautiful countryside and woodlands, in which to roam.

Book into a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel and your entire family can enjoy some downtime together - with no exceptions!
