Woodlands Lodge is a lovely, friendly, comfortable and well appointed hotel. Superb gardens lead right into the heart of the New Forest where ponies, pigs and cows abound. Breakfasts are good and just right for those wishing to take long walks and return in the evening. Menu for dinner was not to ...
This was a good clean hotel. We only stayed overnight but beds were comfortable and everything worked. Check in and out was straightforward. Price was very reasonable. Only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is on the southbound M3 so if travelling north you have to go to junction 7 and come ...
Booked hotel via Expedia and was initially told on checking in that breakfast was not included until I showed by confirmation!! All sorted was given vouchers to hand in the next morning. We had a very large room overlooking the pier. This is probably a listed building so therefore repairs will have ...
Contemporary hotel with compact, but well designed, spotlessly clean rooms. Easy check in, free WiFi, pleasant staff, great for an overnight stay in business. The porthole in the bathroom was a nice touch.
Hotel room spacious, but wish we had booked a king size bed. Breakfast as large as you wanted it to be, but could not do it justice as still full from previous night. Staff all very helpful. However it was a bit chilly and we weren't able to get the temperature up.
The hotel is very nice and the rooms are pleasant. We stayed in room 7 which had a very small shower room but it was fine for just one night. The only reason I didn't give this place top marks was because of the mattresses which were very noisy with springs pinging every time you moved! The breakfast ...
Blessed with a plethora of wide open spaces, Hampshire is an ideal county for those who want to get to grips with the Great Outdoors or those who have children and want to get some fresh air in their lungs. Deciding to take a break away from home can have its problems, especially if you own a dog. The thought of your four-legged friend pining away in a kennel or not having his regular treats can be enough for some people to cut their trip short or even abort the plan altogether. Now you needn't worry - Hampshire has a growing number of pet-friendly hotels, ranging from B&Bs and guest houses, to luxury country houses. With plenty of dog-friendly attractions throughout the county, bringing your pet with you doesn't have to be a problem.
The Three Cups Inn in Stockbridge is an excellent example of a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel. Set close to a beautiful riverside walk and with the dog-friendly attraction of Danebury Iron Age Hill Fort just a short stroll away, there's plenty for the whole family to enjoy. The Augustus John, in Fordingbridge, is another pet-friendly hotel. Set close to the New Forest National Park and another riverside walk, it offers comfortable and characterful accommodation and a bounty of things for dog-owners to see and do.
You'll even find a number of luxury hotels that accept dogs on their premises. Stanwell House is a boutique hotel offering luxury-standard lodgings with all the little attentions to detail that elevate a stay from being good to outstanding. Although there are a good many dog-friendly attractions just a short drive away, visit during the colder months and you'll find that Lymington Beach is happy to allow dogs onto its sands.
If you're stopping for a weekend, the Ibis Southampton Centre offers unpretentious surroundings and is well placed for a number of attractions that are pet-friendly. Itchen Valley Country Park is a superb place for families to visit and dogs are permitted, although they must wear leads in certain areas. The Manor Farm Country Park is also nearby, offering 400 acres of beautiful countryside and woodlands, in which to roam.
Book into a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel and your entire family can enjoy some downtime together - with no exceptions!
