Hotel was adequate for what we were doing , just somewhere for us to sleep on our trip . However the air-con needs a rethink as it only comes on when its over 20 deg outside , otherwise the heat comes on , so a very warm sleep !
Generally nice hotel with good customer service. Menu is limited and what choices there are were not all available. Had run in with a member of staff that was shouting during breakfast. When asked if she could be a little quieter got a very bad response. Would think twice about returning.
Blessed with a plethora of wide open spaces, Hampshire is an ideal county for those who want to get to grips with the Great Outdoors or those who have children and want to get some fresh air in their lungs. Deciding to take a break away from home can have its problems, especially if you own a dog. The thought of your four-legged friend pining away in a kennel or not having his regular treats can be enough for some people to cut their trip short or even abort the plan altogether. Now you needn't worry - Hampshire has a growing number of pet-friendly hotels, ranging from B&Bs and guest houses, to luxury country houses. With plenty of dog-friendly attractions throughout the county, bringing your pet with you doesn't have to be a problem.
The Three Cups Inn in Stockbridge is an excellent example of a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel. Set close to a beautiful riverside walk and with the dog-friendly attraction of Danebury Iron Age Hill Fort just a short stroll away, there's plenty for the whole family to enjoy. The Augustus John, in Fordingbridge, is another pet-friendly hotel. Set close to the New Forest National Park and another riverside walk, it offers comfortable and characterful accommodation and a bounty of things for dog-owners to see and do.
You'll even find a number of luxury hotels that accept dogs on their premises. Stanwell House is a boutique hotel offering luxury-standard lodgings with all the little attentions to detail that elevate a stay from being good to outstanding. Although there are a good many dog-friendly attractions just a short drive away, visit during the colder months and you'll find that Lymington Beach is happy to allow dogs onto its sands.
If you're stopping for a weekend, the Ibis Southampton Centre offers unpretentious surroundings and is well placed for a number of attractions that are pet-friendly. Itchen Valley Country Park is a superb place for families to visit and dogs are permitted, although they must wear leads in certain areas. The Manor Farm Country Park is also nearby, offering 400 acres of beautiful countryside and woodlands, in which to roam.
Book into a Hampshire pet-friendly hotel and your entire family can enjoy some downtime together - with no exceptions!
