Great place in the country.

Posted 25-May-2017
Pros: The whole package is great, the mansion, the rooms and the service.
Cons: Maybe a small breakfast option.
Location: A little far our if you do not have a car.
We booked this thinking it was near Southampton, UK but found out the taxi ride was a bit more expensive than we expected since we had to go back into Southampton to catch our cruise ship the next day. But, the New Place is a wonderful place to be at. It has beautiful grounds and the rooms are comfortable. We would make this mistake again!

Lovely location and close to many attractions

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: Location, leisure facilities and values for money
Cons: Extractor fan in bathroom disconnect!
Location: Close to Southampton
Stayed here before as good value for money and the bonus of leisure facilities. A bit disappointed on this occasion as we seem to have been given a room next to the boiler room, very noisy, would have asked to change rooms but only stayed one night, alerted the issue to reception staff who were very apologetic.

Good for weddings and business

Posted 15-Apr-2017
Pros: Attractive grounds and leisure facilities
Cons: Be more organised and have rooms ready for check-in
Location: We were staying and attending a wedding, but location and facilities also ideally suited for conferences and meetings
Check in seemed a little disorganised but staff were friendly and cheerful. Attended New Place for a wedding which was lovely and felt very personal. Bedrooms varied in size but adequate for short stay. Good choice of breakfast although organisation was again lacking as the wedding guests were in a separate breakfast room and had to carry food across hall from main dining area. Made use of leisure facilities before leaving and these were exceptionally clean and well maintained.

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings

Posted 17-Mar-2017
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Although hotel needs to sort out tv's in bedrooms as fitted into a unit which means the remote control doesn't work from the bed etc.., only when you stand directly in front of tv. Breakfast was lovely, although had to remind waiter to bring coffee and to warm pancakes and waffles seemed a little disorganised. Apart from that a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel. Pool was exceptional with good leisure facilities 😊

Lots of character, very remote

Posted 13-Mar-2017
The hotel layout is a bit disjointed with the rooms being in rows of chalets separate from reception and the main building. However clearly this can't be helped and is well explained on the hotel website. The room was relatively small but more perfectly adequate and was cleaned to a high standard. As per previous rooms we found the walls to be paper thin which slightly uncomfortable when the couple in the room next door decided to undertake certain activity. Breakfast was perfectly fine and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurant was full for evening meals when we stayed so we ventured into Portsmouth for the evening, only a 20 minute taxi fare away

Peace and relaxing hotel ..

Posted 06-Mar-2017
From start to finish had amazing night away . Staff were very helpful and specially the young lady who was training was lovely . Was a shame we couldn't get to eat in main restaurant in ebbing , but the bar food was still very nice and fairly priced . Pool and gym was good and very clean . We wouldn't be returning for a longer stay next time ! The ground of Hotel were lovely and plenty of parking . Only down side was the walk to main house for meals , would be ideal if had a covered walk way .
