Motel rather than hotel

Posted 07-Dec-2016
Staff on arrival were very nice, "mews" room pleasant but draughty thanks to gap round the door. Glad to say weather was nice as we had an outdoor walk to get to the restaurant for breakfast.

Relaxing Hotel

Pros: Grandieus maar betaalbaar.
Location: Nvt
Rustig hotel. Een snelle tussenstop maar zou er graag een keer langer verblijven om meer van de faciliteiten gebruik te maken

Great surroundings. Access to rooms not handy.

Posted 18-Nov-2016
Pros: The main building and the gardens were really nice. Big stately home with big garden that my 3 year old loved running around in.
Cons: The access to the room was via the outside, which in the rainy weather was a problem. It would be much better to have a single entrance and then have
Location: Nearby village had nice restaurants.
The hotel has a number of buildings. The hotel rooms are separate from the main building. The main building is very nice and the food was excellent. The room was nice but nothing special.

Hotel was nice staying in holiday village type rooms away from the main house, comfortable and clean popular for wedding so fellow guests can be noisy. Maybe where possible accomodate wedding parties separate from other guests.

Difficult to find in the dark. Difficult to find a parking space once found hotel. Had to rehang curtains in the room before shutting them. Otherwise happy with stay.

Lovely quiet location near Southampton.

Posted 27-Sep-2016
Pros: Lovely quiet location and the staff were very accommodating.
Cons: The first room we stayed in smelt of damp, but we were moved and the second room was great.
Stayed at this hotel recently when visiting Southampton. Picked this hotel largely due to the fact that the boat show was on the same weekend and there was very little available closer to the city. Because the hotel was somewhat out of the way it was a lovely quiet location. The staff were all very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The choice of food at breakfast was great and our kids used the pool and played tennis. No fault of the hotel, but in future I would want to stay closer to the city so that we could avail of taxis on a night out and not have to be the designated driver.
