We came across Stockbridge because we were looking for a place that took dogs and we didn't have to stay for a whole week and we wanted it to be in a place that did really nice water walks, it hit all the buttons and to top it of the white heart was such a lovely place, we were given a room that was part of the old stables which meant we were just of the side of the pub/Hotel , that worked really well as we had a dog and didn't want to feel we were disturbing other guest by keep going through the Pub/Hotel to take the Dog out for wee wee trips , the rivers that run across the village were so clear and clean and then we easily found areas where we could let the dog go in to cool of.The Sun shined which always helps .

"A Hidden Gem Well Worth Finding"
Stayed at this Hotel for two nights. Staff were friendly, cheerful and very helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We Stayed in one of their 'Stylish' rooms and their is no better descriptive, small - perhaps - but not cramped and very comfortable. We loved the whole feel of the place which had clearly maintained its original character from its previous life. Very comfortable bar with a sumtuous selection of ales and ciders etc. Food and service in the resaurant is nothing short of excellent, nothing was too much trouble at any time. We will definately visit again and would recomend to any one visiting the area. In fact it is now one of only two hotels we have stayed at that we would go simply to for the Hotel. An absolutely delightful stay for my birthday, a big thanks to all at the White Buck and see you next time.

"Decent hotel close to Southampton"
Decent hotel. Affordable. Staff & Owner are very nice. The pub style restaurant actually has good food quality and options. Rooms are tiny and have no Air Con which is a drawback as there are no fans for airflow. Very rustic overall. Breakfast was included with the room which was a pleasant surprise. Coffee was excellent.

"Perfectly situated for the New Forest"
Very nicely appointed hotel, visited overnight with grandchildren. Friendly and efficient staff, very nicely furnished rooms with all the usual facilities. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the attractive dining room, altogether a very nice albeit short stay, would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a central base to enjoy the New Forest

Pocket Guide: Hampshire Fullers Inns Hotels

If you're thinking of visiting Hampshire, either as part of a busy business trip or to relax and enjoy all that this spectacular county has to offer, you want to be sure that your accommodation upholds certain standards. Fullers Inns hotels bring with them an assurance of quality, service and superb accommodation, alongside great value for money. While Fullers Inns are generally associated with great beer, they have also lent their seal of approval to a number of Hampshire hotels, ranging from small, pub-hotels, to inns that practically crackle with character.

    Fullers Inns Hotels in Hampshire

Fullers Inns hotels are anything but run-of-the-mill. Despite Fullers being a large, prestigious brand, you'll find that hotels housed under their umbrella are encouraged to retain their original characters. The Wykeham Arms in Winchester is a prime example of this at work. It started out in 1755 as a coaching house and is even thought to have served Lord Nelson on his way to Portsmouth. After becoming something of an unconventional bar in the 1900s, it returned to its roots and today you'll find it packed with quirky curios collected by the previous owner. The accommodation is both elegant and charming and has appealed to a number of modern celebrities, including David Bowie and Robert Plant.

    Links to the Local Community

Social responsibility is a key standard supported by Fullers Inns. Hotels such as the White Buck in Ringwood, and the Pilgrim's Inn in Southampton, are encouraged to reduce their carbon footprints through saving water, energy efficiency and responsible recycling. In addition, you'll find that, where possible, food and ingredients are sourced locally to create fresh and delicious seasonal menus. Fullers is also aware of the importance of the local community and all their hotels, such as the Cromwell Arms in Romsey, develop firm relationships with their community, supporting them in local projects and donating prizes to local charity fundraising events.

Hampshire is a fantastic county to visit, at any time of the year. If you're looking for accommodation that offers character, quality and social responsibility, underpinned by a commitment to giving guests exactly what they want and need, look for the Fullers Inn brand.
