"Fantastic weekend away, at Balmer Lawns!"
We arrived on the Friday afternoon, they let us check in at 2.30pm even though check in isn't until 3pm as our room was ready! The room was great, very clean and we brought our dog with us, they even provided a dog bowl and food mat for him- which we where very impressed with.. the whole weekend was just suburb, all the staff where great and nothing was to much trouble, they even let us have breakfast in the lounge area so that our dog could sit with us. We would defiantly go back!

"Clean, quiet and comfortable"
Considering the price, the room was very nice. Bed was comfortable and we had a nice view of the fields at the back. Bathroom had a bath and shower which was useful. All in all a lovely stay.

"stay for convenience and access to fitness rooms "
Surroundings good, quiet, view good, breakfast good choice, staff friendly accommodating, pool murky! But warm and clean changing rooms and fitness suite. Murky pool is Apparently ongoing problem as discussed by regular members rather than staying guests.

"Great Hotel, amazing location."
The hotel is certainly one of the best in the UK. The facilities are excellent, the rooms are beautiful, food is very good and generally a first class service. Add to that a great location, where you benefit from both the New Forest and the nice beaches near Bournemouth, and you have a truly great hotel. You certainly pay for it though. The price is what you have for a first class hotel in London, NY or Paris.

"Overrated! "
We stayed for 1 night as a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 children. The reception staff were friendly but not overly helpful. They clearly had a standard spiel that they give to guests and they did the same with us. We were given a piece of paper with details of meal times and leisure club times, but no further details about booking or using. We only found out later that the pool was closed to children at 8pm so had to leave about 20mins after getting in! The room was big enough for 4 people but only tea making facilities for 2 people. For the kids, there was nothing to drink or snack on. My 12yr daughter asked reception for hot chocolate but she was told to order by room service. The beds and pillows were far too soft, even the kids complained about the pillows, which looked really lovely and fluffed up but sank into a pancake once lying on them. The bathroom was clean and tidy with lovely toiletries but the building clearly needs a refurbishment since there was faded and worn wood on the door frames, some peeling paint and discoloured sanitary ware. We had a TV, hair dryer, a desk and water in the fridge. Overall, a standard room and facilities. Free and plenty of parking. Food was very expensive so we went out to eat. Overall, stay was ok but the price is high and the hotel is overrated at 4 *. I have paid the same price for a family room at the Premier Inn and got new facilities and breakfast thrown in. Disappointing for the reputation that the Marriott has.

Pocket Guide: Conference Centre Hotels in Hampshire

While Hampshire has plenty of independent conference venues, using a conference hotel to host your meeting, team-building events or incentive programmes comes with a range of benefits. Close to the M4, bisected by the M3, well-served by rail links and Southampton Airport, Hampshire is an easy county to access. With some of the UK's most exceptional scenery and historic attractions to explore, this county proves that you really can mix business with pleasure. Conference hotels in Hampshire come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with something to suit most budgets.

    Conference Hotels in Hampshire

Hosting a conference in a Hampshire business hotel gives you more control over how things play out. With a traditional venue, the end of the day usually sees delegates going their separate ways. Using a conference hotel means you can keep everyone on-site and perhaps clinch a deal over dinner or simply relax with your colleagues in the bar. For team-building events, hotels such as the Chewton Glen boast their own grounds and will even organise activities for you.

    Impress with Sumptuous Surroundings

If business guests are going to be present, impressing them with sumptuous surroundings might help to stack the odds in your favour. There are a number of luxury conference hotels in Hampshire equipped with their own meeting rooms and facilities, set against elegant backdrops. The MacDonald Elmers Court Hotel is a prime example, offering outstanding business and conference services, in a 19th century manor house, set in 23 acres of stunning, landscaped grounds. With the excellent Waterford Restaurant serving everything from afternoon tea to fine, British cuisine, there's no detail overlooked - even down to the free Wi-Fi that runs throughout the hotel.

    Size Doesn't Matter

However, not all conferences are big ones and there are plenty of business hotels in Hampshire that cater for smaller events too. The De Veres Venues Warbrook House offers state-of-the-art conference services, but can provide rooms for smaller meetings of up to 90 people. They also have a dedicated training suite, which can be adapted - as creatively as you like - to fit in with your needs.

Conferences are an important part of business; booking a room in a Hampshire conference hotel can help ensure that your event goes as well as possible.
