Nice rooms over a bar, a bit noisy from the bar and the pipes at night. Breakfast was superb. Friendly staff.

The web pictures did not accurately reflect the age and condition of this room. It was tired and old. The box spring cover was ragged, the counter-weight of one window was broken so the window could not be moved. The shower worked fine. Even though the room was on the second floor and faced the street, it was quiet. Breakfast was good and the dining room pleasant. I would not stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback which we appreciate. I am sorry there was a problem opening the window. The building itself is very old, along with the window frames, but I will certainly have our maintenance team look at this. Thank you for making us aware.

It was very nice a few issues raised with the manager but all sorted they where great with the service would stay there again. Breakfast was really good all the staff great bed really clean. The only issue is it does not have a fridge its a shame as it would have made it for me.

The Breakfast was not good. The service took 40 minutes from order to delivery. There was no toast offered, no yoghurt or fruit. The waitress was a nice lady. The food once we got it was good quality it was just the time it took to reach us.

Please accept my apologies for not meeting our usual service standards for breakfast on this occasion. Toast and yoghurt etc is available from the buffet but perhaps this was not fully explained for you. I am pleased you were happy with the quality of the food and your waitress and do hope you will stay with us again if you are in the area.

I have stayed here many times, its comfortable and in a great location in the lovely town of Odiham. However breakfast doesn't start until 7.30 and it seems to take half an hour before your eating, this is normally too late for me.

Ideal location- nice hotel but could do more
The bar is far too small - the restaurant is nice and airy - clean and equipped. However- the young girl who serviced myself and my two guests - didnt help herself with her lack of table manners- by dropping food as she placed it on the table and no apology. The rooms are ok- no aircon and can be quite noisy if you have the window open- especially if you have room in the main part of the hotel- so please request the cottage or lodges if you decide to stay. Overall - it works for me due to business- but there are better places around i'm sure for the price.

Stay spoiled by no heating or hot water
Ours was a one night stay visiting relatives who have recently moved into the area. The room and facilities provided were all fine. Breakfast choice was good, and the service provided at breakfast was to a good standard. Our room was in what I believe are referred to as the stables, and while it may be prone to noise from the car park at busy times we didn't experience any problems. What spoiled the stay however was that the heating was not working and there was no hot water at all in the morning. I notice that other guests have reported this same problem in reviews. My advice therefore to guests is that they check whether they have hot water and heating on arrival and if not, move to another room. It is unfortunate, because in other respects the premises have character and the location is ideal for exploring the area.

Lovely staff but pump lets them down an again :(
In one of the front rooms this time - some traffic noise but lovely room and super food. Colleague also stayed - he had no hot water due to pump failing again (happened to me twice of previous occasion) which spoilt what would have otherwise been a pleasant stay

Stayed 2 night's. Stayed in Gainsborough in the coach house. Parking was near room. Lovely shower. Lots of cobwebs. Service was a little show. Young staff. Felt safe nice pub. Location good in town. Just a radiator. Got warm in the evening could turn off. Couldn't open window. Breakfast good choice. No fridge. Quite expensive. Get free glass of gin. (Ask at bar) would stay again

Lovely place to stay in Odiham
Nice room in the Coach House. Quiet with lots of parking. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi smooth. Service at breakfast was very slow, but the food was very tasty. I wouldn't want to stay in the main building as it could be noisy I suspect. Lovely outside terrace for an aperitif.

Shabby chic and full of history
Lovely hotel in a fabulous location - shabby chic (but skirtings could do with a bit of attention with some flash and a rag). Was disappointed not to be given a room in the main hotel niilding, but the coach house was ok. We stayed in Cameo. The room was a bit on the small size and I'm not sure the bed was a king size, but bathroom was clean and the towels crisp. I did not sleep well due to a dripping tap in the bathroom and the persistent drone of machinery (air con/boiler?) all night. Breakfast was good. Quite expensive for what it was, even with the deal we found.

Our room (Albert) was situated above the "snug". We were kept awake by noise from people in this room until 1.30am on both nights that we stayed. Disappointed that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. These were situated on the landing at the top of the stairs, quite a way from our room. A pleasant addition was a complimentary bottle of Sloe Gin in the room. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night and the meal was good and the service fair. Breakfast on the first morning was good but the second morning there were problems. They were sorted but we ended up being the last people served and the last people in the restaurant but we weren't the last to arrive for breakfast. The staff made a token apology but I didn't feel it was sincere. One of the waitresses had long hair tied in a half pony tail. Whilst she was waiting for food to arrive at the service counter she kept playing with her hair, bringing it over her shoulder. I didn't feel this was hygienic.

A lovely 3 days spent visiting family and friends in the area. A cozy but large bedroom, warm and clean. Staff were amazing, from the bar , the kitchen and dining room, excellent hard working friendly staff. There was a major kitchen drama on the last morning and the staff came to the rescue with an amazing breakfast (no kitchen) 2 amazing eggs cooked in the drawing room on a temporary kitchen set up. A must stay of you are going to the area but stay for more than1 night. :) Ian
