"Comfortable and Welcoming B&B"
My wife and I visited this B&B in March 2017 for a one night stopover on route to Southampton where we were to join a P&O Cruise the following day. We chose this B&B primarily because of the reviews it had received and its location in relation to the onward travel to Southampton. The house is a charming olde-world property with a beautiful garden and ample space for car parking. Please note however that the final 300 yards to the property is up a narrow single track road so be careful on approach. The owners were very friendly and offered us use of the sitting room and the garden should we require it which I thought was a nice touch. The room itself was spotlessly clean, if a little dated, but was perfectly acceptable for what we required for our stay. Breakfast was excellent and was served in a lovely dining room with views out to the garden. Would I recommend? Yes and we have already booked a return visit in August for our next cruise! PS The Plough Inn in the village, recommended by the B&B for evening meal was very good although booking a table is recommended.

"Excellent new and modern hotel"
Had a little trouble finding it as it's up a small slip road and the address which Expedia states is New Brighton Road, yet it's actually Northfields off of New Brighton Road. You have to press an intercom then go through some gates into a newly developed site so it's all very secure. We were greeted by the owner who is lovely. Our room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. Would definitely go there again.

"B&B on main road but quiet"
On main road for easy access via car to lots of New Forest fun. Quiet. Range of nicely cooked breakfasts - we particularly liked the scrambled egg and salmon. Room a touch cold when we first got home each evening, for some reason. B&B owners nice though mildly lacking in 'how was your day?' conversation before getting down to business (payment, or ordering breakfast). On payment - they request cash payment, and up front, so you are paying before you've been served and need to make sure you've plenty of reddies on you. Plenty of car parking space on site for the car. Plenty of decent eateries and takeaways literally within moments of the B&B. All in all a good option for when you're visiting the New Forest.

"Peaceful countryside location"
I have stayed at Flossies numerous times in the past as it is in a very peaceful location. The new owners seem very enthusiastic to improve the site generally and I wish them all the best in improving the site. Breakfast was adequate although as I was the only guest on the 1 day stay it is difficult to assess how efficient the service would be if there were more guests stating

Pocket Guide: Bed and Breakfast Hotels in Hampshire

Hampshire is a fascinating county to visit. Home to the New Forest and packed with historic attractions and things for the whole family to see and do, it's got everything that you could need for a great break away. Those travelling with the family may want to keep costs down to a minimum, which is where Bed and Breakfast hotels come in. Often cheaper than their larger counterparts, they offer a comfortable base from which to get out and about and explore what Hampshire has to offer. Bed and Breakfast are also ideal for businessmen, who want to feel that they are being treated as an individual and not just a room number. Hampshire has a good range of Bed and Breakfasts, from simple, family-run B&Bs to high-end, boutique establishments.

    Bed and Breakfasts in Hampshire

With Hampshire being so large, yet easily accessible, there's plenty to discover. Winchester is a popular destination, boasting some of the region's finest attractions, including Winchester Castle, Marwell Wildlife Park and Winchester Cathedral. The uniquely-named 31 Queens Road B&B puts you within easy access of most of Winchester's local landmarks and attractions, including The Brooks Shopping Centre and an abundance of places to eat. This Bed and Breakfast is warm and welcoming and ideal for either a short stop or an extended stay.

    Stay in a Southampton B&B

Southampton is another popular part of Hampshire offering contemporary amenities and excellent accommodation. Bed and Breakfasts, such as the Heatherdene B&B, Cargo and the Forest Gate Lodge put you within a stone's throw of a number of fascinating sights, such as the Southampton City Art Gallery, Itchen Valley Country Park and the Gothic ruins of Netley Abbey.

The Secluded Splendour of the New Forest

While you're in Hampshire, it's worth taking some time to get to grips with the secluded splendour of the New Forest National Park. For those who really want to get a feel for this exceptional part of the world, the Reepham House B&B is situated in a small village in the middle of the forest and close to the New Forest Centre Museum. However, for those on business it's still packing everything you could need from modern accommodation, including Internet access.

Whether you're visiting Hampshire for business or pleasure, there are plenty of Bed and Breakfasts to suit all tastes and budgets.
