A lovely friendly guest house, where I could come and go as I pleased and was in walking distance of the city centre.

Friendly and quiet

Posted 27-Nov-2017
Pros: Location, comfort and warm welcome. Great value for money.
Cons: The room was a little cool.
Location: Winchester is pretty and if you are there at this time of year, the Christmas Market is a must.
This is a very comfortable B&B, where the welcome is warm and friendly. The rooms are spotless and the beds comfortable. I was in the twin room and was happy that I was the only occupant as it would be quite snug for two. The breakfast was continental in style, and more than adequate. The location is great for activities at Winchester University, and is a very short bus ride or 15 minute walk into the town centre. It is opposite the hospital, but was remarkably quiet.

Nice place to stay. Beds were comfy, but room and bathroom were quite small. Breakfasts were more of a do-it-yourself approach with a mini fridge and cereal bar. Toast was also provided. Walkable distance to the Great Hall, town and Cathedral. Overall, a good spot for a night or two.

Lovely B&B

Posted 16-Oct-2017
Pros: Easy check in and free parking
Location: Within walking distance of central Winchester. Easy to get a local bus back up the hill if you need to.
Great location and immaculate facilities. The owner was very helpful and gave me my own key and a parking permit. All areas were immaculately clean and well cared for.

Apart from the initial keysafe not working, everything else about our stay was first class - made to feel very special, and would definitely recommend staying here

Lovely B&B close to Winchester uni and town.

Posted 18-Aug-2017
Pros: Location Owners very friendly Facilities
Cons: Small - but can't be changed
Location: Great location to uni and only 15 min walk to town. Close to hospital, pubs & restaurants, museum, river, shops, cathedral, local history, supermarkets
Very welcoming owners, who were willing to talk about local area and took interest in their guests and their stay. Clean room and bathroom. On the small side, but was aware of this with the description 'compact'. Tea and coffee facilities, TV, water, sink in room and other facilities were great. Had a comfortable bed and stay, however can be a little noisy with vehicles going to the hospital opposite. Lots of choice for breakfast.Check in was really easy. We enjoyed our stay at 31 Queen's Road.
