We enjoyed the hotel for its excellent location. The room was very comfortable once you finally got to it. It’s very convoluted getting from the entrance to any of the rooms. Bring breadcrumbs as you take an elevator or stairs and then follow the blue carpet three different directions till it takes you down a flight of stairs to walk through another room until you find the second elevator and then go up to your floor (which doesn’t correspond to your room number) quirky, but fine. The room and beds were quite comfortable. The bathroom was good, though no washcloths. The room was noisy but it ended up being mostly user error as we missed one of the open windows. It’s located right by the train station, so it’s excellently located for getting around town on the Ubahn or Sbahn. The breakfast seemed expensive for what you get, but it’s convenient. There are plenty of places nearby to get s fresh hot breakfast for half the cost. It’s all just a buffet with things sitting out. The hotel is close to two wonderful art museums and the theater district.

Disappointing stay.
Disappointed with the room, although it was clean, it was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The room lacked facilities, no tea or coffee making, just a bottle of water. IT WAS NOT A CHEAP ROOM at €110 per night.

May not be the best hotel in Hamburg, the staff was very friendly and gave me all the advise I need to stay pleasantly in Hamburg for just 1 day

Location, location, location
We loved the location SO much! It is close to everything. The hotel rooms were fine. The only problem was getting to and from the room to the lobby and the breakfast room—it was up and down and round and round—it was a bit of a maze.

Great location
The hotel was very good and in a great location close to the main station. The worst thing about the hotel was other residents arriving in at 0345 and talking loudly in the corridor.

So close to the train station!

Very unfriendly staff. Complicated and long check-in. Room was clean, however, there was mold in the shower everywhere and part of the hair dryer was melted. Had to leave the keys at the hotel every time we would leave the room and then pick them back up when we came back. Did expect more for the money that we paid.

Across the road from the HBF. Unusually large bathroom. Very nice and generous buffet breakfast. A bit of up and down to get to rooms st the rear of the hotel, the only drawback.

Old style 3* hotel, Check in @ 3PM Check out @ 11AM. The room key has to be hand out when you are out. Luggage room was small, self controlled by the code and no receipt. When we picked up our luggage, the storage room was mess, the door was open, suitcases piled up on ours.

Great location but some misses
Upon checking in, we were told that we were given a complimentary upgrade. We appreciated the gesture, but couldn’t see how the room was an upgrade. It was more like an attic room with a view of the hauptbahnhof, and a really tiny bathroom. We had to limit our movement while in the shower. Additionally, the flooring of the room was a little slanted so it didn’t feel like we were sleeping on level ground. The heating and water pressure were all good, as was the service friendliness. Location was the main selling point for us as it was really just a 2-min walk from the train station. The most disappointing was that we had to pay 2euros for each cup of hot water from a coffee machine at the lounge, to make tea. I would rather have paid more to loan a water kettle to have easier and unlimited access to hot water, especially since it was -2 deg cel outside. That would would have been a more reasonable provision.

Close to main train station for connection to airport. Noisy when opening the window. Staff was polite but little German or English. The connection with city train to airport changed, but staff did not know and had a complicated trip on two trains and also restrictions on which compartments actually would make it to the airport. Was able to phone from the airport and inform the staff. Breakfast was very good and lots of selection

Fantastic spacious room with comfortable beds and quiet room but it was inconvenient to get to through labyrinth of corridors and lifts. However we got a 2.5 day free travel pass which we used a lot to get around Hamburg. Much should be made of it’s convenience to the train station and the lovely shopping areas.

Very good hotel, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent. Only issue was the work station PC and printer, were too slow to work, but that didn't spoil our stay.

The general facilities were ok (nothing special) but the room was a little small (even for a single room). The real letdown however was poor sound insulation between the rooms as I could hear (and was kept awake by) the noisy couple in the room next door engaging in vigorous and extended “intimate activities”. This is something that the hotel should consider in the long term.
