Expensive for what is offered
Stayed just one night whilst visiting my daughter in nearby hospital. First the good- parking free and on site, bed was comfortable, room clean although very worn, very quiet until building site workers next door started. The lift was out of order, no coffee making facilities (as in description), no information about breakfast etc. in room. Check in was easy but no information on breakfast offered (assumed it was in room). No one at the desk for check out, waited 10 minutes and rang bell. For the price of 84 Euros for the night was a bit disappointed.

Going downhill
Ive been travelling there for 8 years, once sometimes twice a year. It was great at the beginning. Gradually ging downhill with cleanliness, you used to get a bottle of water, nothing. They give you a bottle opener, with nothing to open. No tea/coffee making facilities. The biggest hit for me was their restaurant is now closed, permanently. No mention of this in the ads. Their restaurant was great! Part of the reason i chose it. A real shame.

Christmas market trip
Hotel was 15mins from airport in car, could use public transport but it wasnt suitable for us with arrival and departure times. Was about 30-40 mins. Eash to get into Hamburg city bus was at end of street and took you right to U line. 30 mins and into city centre. Supermarkets near by to pick up water and snacks. There was a few restaurants along the main road When we arrived our room smelt a bit like someone had smoked in there. We were given another room after asking.Theee was no smoking signs in rooms and hotel but there was definitely a smell. For the price it was good and as it was last minute the small travel distance into Hamburg saved alot. Hamburg Christmas markets were amazing. So many around the city. The food and drinks were reasonable, slightly cheaper than the markets at home and the atmosphere was very nice.

Very poor value for money! Carpets need replaced as I assume they are the cause of the bad smell. No air con so the room was excessively warm. Poor light in bathroom. Breakfast was ok for the price.

My single room was quite large, with excellent lighting for reading in bed. The hotel is located a short distance away from Hamburg airport, very convenient if driving back there at the end of a vacation.

Overall great stay
We had a great stay. Very reasonable price. During our stay there was some work going on outside the building. It is an old hotel which requires some work to bring it up to current standards.

The hotel was under construction unbeknownst to us. Notices at the hotel when we got there said that noise pollution would occur between 09:00-14:00 however we woke up to two men outside our window at 7am scraping walls and laughing and talking. The hallways reak of smoke. We asked for a double bed and got two incredibly tiny single beds in which you couldn’t even turn over without falling off.

Our stay was superb. The double hotel room which slept two persons was very comfortable, clean and all facilities were working and up to date. Very tidy. The free car parking facility was an added bonus. I would return to this hotel.

Pretty hotel at the outskirts of the city
The room was hell, clean and confortable; it was a relief after such a long journey.. Yet, the outskirts of the area are poor and the buildings are spread out to keep track of the main facilities. The staff at the reception was cold and unwelcome and so was the people who were serving dinner the evening we arrived. It was unpleasant to be threatened in such a rude manner because a misunderstanding about the way to pay for the dinner. I really disliked to be addressed in such way and of course I wouldn't recommend a place where you are bound to argue instead of having fun and relax.

A budget Hotel in the heart of the Local Community
Great!!! A Bargain!! No Complaints!! I had a pleasant stay. I was able to shop locally for my necessities including Foodstuff from a Well-known Discount Supermarket within the grounds

Charming hotel
The hotel was definitely charming and the rooms were larger than expected. The decor was a bit outdated but for an overnight stayed it worked for us. We had a car so getting around was not a problem in addition there is a bus stop just across the street from the hotel. Although It was about 30/45 mins away from Hamburg.

There is club nearby, so if you go on the Saturday that will be loud ( it is open until 2am) If you can request a room not next to the tunnel of the lift, it is just too loud as the wall not really soundproofed neither the doors, bathroom dated but clean. Heating was very good, room was clean, privacy curtains were ok too. Big breakfast area with good breakfast. Multilingual staff made it easier. Free and safe parking behind the hotel.

The room was of nice space and set up well, but the Balcony was DIRTY! The surrounding area seemed a bit run down, but there very convenient for groceries or small eats without a lot of noise. Not a bad stay.

Tired and in need of refurbishment
Whilst the room and bathroom were clean, the upholstery and carpeting were soiled. Worse still I had booked here having notified them that my 84yr old mother had limited mobility and used a stick. I advised she either needed to be close to a lift or on a lower floor. When we arrived the lift was broken and she had to negotiate a spiral staircase. The lift was only in service the morning we left at 07.00h. Apologies were offered but that didn't help our situation. We had flown in for a family funeral and this just added to the strain.

Convenient hotel for the individual traveler
Booked this hotel as it was supposed to be close to the airport. In fact it is just over 6km to the airport . If you expect this - then it's OK. Get their a little earlier to secure parking in their car park. It is free but competition is fierce. Many vans parked there so guess it caters to the industry of people who drive vans for their work. Staff spoke excellent English. Very polite and helpful. TV is local aerial - so don't expect to find anything in English.

Could have been cheaper, but served its purpose.
The only (slight) negative about our stay there was that the bathroom was a bit smelly. It could have done with an extractor fan. Also we had been led to believe, from the Expedia paperwork, that, thanks to a promotional offer, WiFi would be free in the room. But that was only in the public areas, it turned out. In other respects, the hotel was pretty much as advertised. Because we went in the peak holiday period, it was rather expensive. But everywhere else was even more expensive. Its location on the northern outskirts of Hamburg was not ideal for anybody who wants to see the sights of the city centre. But since the transport network is so efficient (and surprisingly cheap), this was not a major problem. The room was spacious and comfortable and the restaurant, when it was open, served some nice dishes.
