The hotel was very noisy the night we stayed. We didnt get much sleep and the staff didnt seem to care much when we complained the next day. The breakfast area was very crowded and the other patrons were rude and did not care about covid restrictions. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but it was a very disappointing last nights stay on our holiday.

Dartmouth stay 3 nights
The room was really good and quiet up on the 3rd floor at the end of bldg. nice bed/bedding, washroom etc, roomy. The lobby was a bit unkept, not the cleanest, the hardwood floor was in rough shape, gave a bad impression. Breakfast was poor, out of items such as cutlery, sausages were not good. Service was ok the first morning, then not great on last two mornings. Needed to clean tables, etc.

It's located at the top of a hill so has great views of the bridge. The building is older so not completely modern but clean & comfortable.

First room provided had beds too small (doubles instead of queens). Lobby filled with garish Halloween display on Thanksgiving weekend. Breakfast table was so tippy it was hard to eat.

When we arrived the room was hot, had a bad smell and there was actually urine on the toilet seat. We complained about the a/c not working. They tried to fix it but the room kept getting hotter plus the a/c kept making horrible noises. They did not have another room that was suitable. At least they refunded our money and we received an apology from the manager. Would not recommend this hotel!

Rooms carpets very dirty. Also the beds are very old and their were bear bottle caps behind the desk. Also the curtains were hanging off a broken bent rod. Bathroom was were old and dirty. Washroom fan not working. Room was not clean. Carpets were very dirty and old. Breakfast choice very disappointing. Gym room, the machines are old and rusted and not working at all. Only 2 dumbbells in the gym 2 and 5 pounds only.

Unique? Not much was "unique" but, I would say "unexpected". This particular Travel Lodge hotel is situated atop of a rocky hill so, a vehicle is a MUST to get to the hotel itself. This is not place for backpackers who don't have any vehicles as it is very difficult to get to the hotel itself. There is a set of stairs outside of the hotel.These stairs are also on a rocky hill and are very steep and difficult to climb. If planning to stay there, be aware that these stairs are not recommended for seniors nor for people with disabilities nor for pregnant women. The hotel has placed signs on the stairs saying "Use at your own risk". There are 40 steps on this rocky staircase so, it's a long trip to get to the hotel without luggage. If there is also luggage then calling a can is recommended.

Overall it was okay. It was close to a bridge to Halifax which was nice and the room was a good size but there was only one clean towel and the toilet didn't work well. The furniture could use an update (some damage/stains).

We stayed in a on the ground floor. AC was working but water was leaking from it and was soaking the near carpet. There were bed bugs in both beds. We all had big lesions on our back , neck and head because of bug bites

The staff was a little backed up but pleasant, the complimentary breakfast smelled delicious (though I did not get a chance to eat because of my own schedule to keep) and seemed very friendly with a diner experience in the lobby where guests could mingle.

Hotel is easy to get to and the rooms are good size ( had 1 bedroom suite) However the rooms are getting old and worn. 1st room we got air conditioner did not work and room not cleaned . Given another room everything worked but every thing is worn out from the wallpaper to the tub . It was a good price so I guess you get what you pay for.

Great little hotel.
The stay was good. I was comfortable, room was clean and the staff was nice and friendly. When we had a request they tried to full fill it to the best of their ability. The location is great, right next to the bridge to get to Halifax. The only thing I have (and to be honest it is a nit pick sort of thing) is the back door to parking. The card reader was busted and it is important if you are parking in the back of the hotel to be able to enter there if you have a lot of stuff to bring in. Also if you are coming in late at night it would be nice to enter there instead of walking all the way around. Again, nothing to make me stop going there, I will definitely use the hotel again on my next visit.

Absolutely dissatisfied with this property and experience. When arriving to the hotel staff member was not wearing mask properly, took payment when to go up to hotel room when getting on the elevator there was garbage all over the floor. When getting to the hotel room the tv was left on, there was hair all over the bathroom sink and vanity. There was stuff in the sink in the living room part, stuff on the floor, air conditioner wasn’t working. Went to check out the other room that was in my name and it was worse then the first room. Went down to inform the worker at the desk I would not be staying here the fact that covid is getting worse, and they can’t take the time to clean the rooms properly or an elevator was absolutely unacceptable. When I went down to get checked out and get my money back I was told there was no issue to refund the money. The next day I checked my credit card to see I was charged 4 times for 2 rooms. They informed me it was just a preauthorization payment and the payment. Then said they couldn’t refund my money until I called Expedia. Went ahead and did this when Expedia called to get my money back they weren’t answering the phone. And I have called now for 4 days to the hotel and still cannot get through to talking to someone. Being a single mom and being out this money plus having to go to another hotel and being charged there as well is extremely frustrating. Will never go to a Travelodge again nor will I ever use Expedia.

Long check in. Hand sanitizer EMPTY at front door, at ground floor elevator and 3rd floor elevator. Someone else's hair in the bathroom. Still had previous persons garbage in the main room garbage can. Back door wasn't operational so had to walk around the building with luggage. Convenient parking very limited. Free breakfast with a malfunctioning toaster, had to put it through at least twice to get toast meant long lines and finally gave up on getting any.

Location was not convenient to much. Carpets in hallways and stairs very dirty. Our room was missing three lightbulbs in different lamps. Notified staff when we noticed, but was not fixed. Breakfast was minimal. Just breads and dry cereal and coffee. No fruit, no yogurt or anything else. Only juice was apple. Probably the worst continental breakfast we’ve had travelling. I guess it’s price reflects this. However, the lady working the front desk the evening we arrived was veryhelpful

We arrived at 1130 am and the guy on front desk without even checking if a room was available said check in was 3 o’clock and that’s it. We left and came back at 230 to check in all good.

The room was spacious, clean and had a great layout. The staff was very friendly. The carpeting in the the main areas is badly stained…not a good first impression. Our mattress was soft and when one of us turned over, the other’s sleep was disturbed. The air conditioner was very loud when it started up. It woke me up several times :-(

Check-in was okay, just keep in mind that they only accept credit cards, not debit or cash. I was able to pay my deposit with debit though. The room was nice and spacious, but a little worn out and slightly dated-looking. Could probably use a renovation. There also weren't a lot of free power outlets available in the room to charge your devices with. The bed was comfortable and clean, but the tub in the bathroom was a little dirty with stray hairs present. The hairdryer also, unfortunately, was not working. Also, housekeeping did not touch my room during my stay. Not sure if that's a COVID protocol though. The free breakfast, while appreciated, was small and limited, and they didn't have any juice available when I was there as the juice machine was broken or something. Also, the breakfast attendant working there at the time wasn't overly pleasant or friendly... The free internet worked quite well, I had no issues doing what I needed to do with it. There isn't much nearby the hotel except for a small plaza with a King of Donair and a convenience store. There's also a public transit bus stop near there as well. My biggest complaint, however, will be the noise. Sound insulation isn't the greatest here. My room was by the side exit, so I had a little trouble sleeping due to the noise of the exit door slamming all night and people chatting in the hallway. But all in all, it was pretty okay for a budget hotel. If this is your only option, it's adequate.
