Check-in was okay, just keep in mind that they only accept credit cards, not debit or cash. I was able to pay my deposit with debit though.
The room was nice and spacious, but a little worn out and slightly dated-looking. Could probably use a renovation.
There also weren't a lot of free power outlets available in the room to charge your devices with.
The bed was comfortable and clean, but the tub in the bathroom was a little dirty with stray hairs present.
The hairdryer also, unfortunately, was not working.
Also, housekeeping did not touch my room during my stay. Not sure if that's a COVID protocol though.
The free breakfast, while appreciated, was small and limited, and they didn't have any juice available when I was there as the juice machine was broken or something. Also, the breakfast attendant working there at the time wasn't overly pleasant or friendly...
The free internet worked quite well, I had no issues doing what I needed to do with it.
There isn't much nearby the hotel except for a small plaza with a King of Donair and a convenience store. There's also a public transit bus stop near there as well.
My biggest complaint, however, will be the noise. Sound insulation isn't the greatest here. My room was by the side exit, so I had a little trouble sleeping due to the noise of the exit door slamming all night and people chatting in the hallway.
But all in all, it was pretty okay for a budget hotel. If this is your only option, it's adequate.
