Hotel is rated at 4 star but I would rate it lower compared to others that we visited. Could be nice but hotel is now looking old & dated. Basic room was disappointing at first but found clean and it served the purpose. Staff nice and helpful.
For my stay in Malta I booked the Bayview but I was placed in the Blubay. During my first week I stayed at the Blubay. At first I was not pleased with this change in Hotels. Then as the week went on it turned out to be a nice place to stay. The Blubay had free wifi, it was very clean, the Staff was very helpful and the room was cleaned to a high standard daily.
In my second week, I inquired if it was possible to upgrade to a room sea view. It was stated yes, if I paid a daily supplement. I paid the supplement for the week and then we moved. The room I got was small but it had a large balcony with a wonderful view of the bay. At first everything was great then the hidden problems began the reveal themselves. First we had to pay for wifi; 20 euro per week, per device. The internet service was poor to say the least and the fact that we had to pay for this poor service was on two devices was an insult.
Second, was the cleaning of the room. The first morning the room was cleaned and we were pleased with the standard. The second day the room was hardly touched by the cleaner. The third day and subsequent days were poor. We went out and purchased cleaning supplies to keep the room and kitchen cleaned and we let the cleaning make the beds.
For the most part the hotel was a nice and a pleasant place to say. I think that if I had booked the Blubay and got the Blubay I would have produced a better review. Overall, the Bayview was a nice place to stay.

Set up a side street away from the main drag, the apartment was very comfortable. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from flushing toilets coming from the central plumbing pipes outside the bedroom and bathroom windows. Noisy guests were also heard in the corridors, but overall our stay was enjoyable.
Solid cheap hotel close to the fun parts of town. Staff was very helpful even though I checked in late at night, and even offered to drop me off in town when they were heading out to a wedding! The room was as advertised, and for the price I have absolutely no complaints!
