Decent - serviceable.
Incredible location. So many bars, cafes, shops and restaurants around. Very close to all public transportation (to and from airport, as well as all over the island.) The lobby/breakfast area and bar are all gorgeous. The gentleman working at the front desk when I checked in was so friendly and helpful. The only thing I will say is the property (well, at least my room) is slightly worn down. The air conditioning didn't really work in my room and it was very warm. The toilet didn't flush properly and the water ran. The wifi in my room was very weak and barely worked. However - the place is still VERY serviceable for a quick stay. Price is right, and had way more positives than negatives. Those were more just minor inconveniences. Oh, if you get the "sea view", it's fascinating. The balcony in my room was divine. Highly recommend that.

There's a lot to like about the Kennedy Nova. It's conveniently located in Sliema, surrounded by many wonderful restaurants. It's located directly across the road from the sea, so the view is stellar. It's just a short walk to the Sliema-Valletta ferry for your eventual trip there. The room we had was comfortable, though not overly large. Unexpectedly, there was a breakfast buffet that was well-appointed and quite tasty. The staff was quite friendly and allowed us to securely store our luggage before we could officially check in, but also in the period after we had checked out but weren't ready to go to the airport. Pickups for ridesharing or taxis are easy, and there's a bus stop nearby as well. The only mild complaints were that the air conditioner in the room struggled a bit to keep things cool and while the water pressure in the shower was adequate, it wasn't great. Those things are definitely not enough to overwhelm a wonderful stay.

So when I booked a balcony room I wasn't figuring on a Juliet balcony looking across to other rooms. The room was clean, bed okay and shower was fine. Breakfast was fine and plenty of items to choose from including hot and cold food. Glad I only booked for a night before flight home though.

Was to much noise, couldn't sleep properly for 3 nights. Guest running around at the corridior, slamming the door, talking loud at 2am. Had to complain 4 times. Not happy, with the management, they should make sure silence after 10pm

Worse hotel stay ever!
It started off badly from the second we opened the door to our room. The room absolutely stank of cigarettes and smoke. It was overpowering. We had to keep the door open for hours as so bad and it never went away. We booked a seaview room and paid more for this. The view was nice, road busy but expected that. There was no tea /coffee making facilities in the room which was disappointing. I used the bathroom and the tap on bath was very wobbly and the floor was covered in hairs. The dust behind the TV was thick. Only two pillows in bed. Both so flat, was like sleeping without. There was no duvet on bed, just a sheet. There was a blanket in wardrobe, but this was covered in both numerous human dog hairs, so we could not use that, so had to sleep with just a sheet. Well I use sleep loosely. We were kept awake all night by the students staying in the hotel running and screaming up and down the stairs and having a party in the room next door all night and I mean all night. There was an interconnecting door to our room and at some point in the night students came into our room!! We had come to the hotel for the night from Gozo where we live, as I had an operation at 0730 the next day so wanted to relax and get a good nights sleep, but this was impossible. My husband went for breakfast after dropping me off at hospital. He said was like a school canteen with all the students. So loud and noisy and running around. We ran a bnb for many years and was shocked staying here.

I was happy with the room and service it needs a bit of updating but for the price it was good vslue for money, the breakfast was adequate and one of the main things was the shower was decent the locstion was also good for buses and the water taxi

Great little place
The hotel is well situated opposite the marina it is basic and could do with some updating but it is perfectly clean and has most things. It is lovely and welcoming. The staff do their best to accommodate you and make you feel at home. The breakfast was varied enough and not over the top and the pool was small but sufficient.

Reasonable overall for price. Reception poor.
Decent location with reasonable room. Breakfasts self-service with fair selection. Customer service poor, especially the receptionists (who definitely need customer care training) with the exception of the night manager who was most helpful.

The staff where all friendly and helpful. The rooms and hotel was very clean. I had a problem with very noisy teenagers one night in the early hours I reported this at reception in the morning and they said they will have a word that night again a bit quieter but still to noisy and when I told them once again they where able to move me to another room which was heaven as no more noise. Though this is not the hotels fault and not a moan simply saying they moved me to another room which I was happy about.

The property was a traditional property, good position for people with no car unfortunately we struggled a bit to find car parking around and close to hotel, room was lovely on the front with city view a little tired in places but overall ok. The swimming pool area could look lovely at very little cost, a lot of the beds were broken and the bed cushions not very nice, my view of stacked up beds with polythene over need to be put away somewhere so the whole area is set out for sitting around pool with tables chairs and beds , some palms in pots would be good just to make it look more pleasing I would come back in same room

Overall - old and dated Room - clean Staff are pleasant in general, however, I had two unpleasant visits, 1- a male staff came in without knocking the door and turned off the electricity supply without asking me, 2 - female manager to check the room condition Shower - AWFUL! very low pressure, not warm at all A/C - couldn't change the setting I wouldn't strongly recommend this hotel

Property has a nice charm to it, just needs a little tlc. Breakfast was available but at a cost, a very high cost. In my room the air conditioning did not work, and the thermostat said 35°C. The phone didn't work. There are random staff offices that open and close the doors at all hours, and the door always slams. Alarms went off every night. Was difficult to sleep with all the noises, and the high temperature.

Pros. The location of the property was good. Staff were really nice and friendly. Cons: The room we had was very basic and nothing at all like the pictures. Additional costs for the use of the safe and to have tea facilities in the room. The TV only had 1 English news channel. There was construction going on next door which obviously wasn't mentioned when booking. The hammering and shouting from workmen would start around 7:30am including Saturday and Sunday. As a result, the rooftop bar and pool were closed due to dust which was one of the reasons we chose that hotel in the first place.

Good location. The hotel is NOT a 4 star. No hot water on arrival, we were moved to a refurbished part of the hotel that did have hot water, but this room had no hair dryer, no free Wi-fi, no tea/coffee making facilities, phone and air conditioner wasn’t working and no extractor fan in the bathroom. Restaurant area was very run down, breakfast was very poor and the same every day (tinned fruit, yoghurt, beans, bacon and scrambled egg), and the noise from building work made it impossible to sleep beyond about 06:45. Staff moved us only after a call from Expedia customer service person (who then credited our account by £25, which didn’t really compensate for the overall bad experience. We cannot recommend it.
