Very nice
Great hotel with friendly staff. Very clean, nice are with many restaurants nearby. Pillows were too high, that's my only complain. No elevator but the staff will help you carry the bag up to your room.

Great hotel friendly staff, easy access to your own private beach. Highly recommend Phensiri Restaurant and the beef masaman is highly recommended 2 min walk from hotel. Nice clean pool are and daily maid service. This is your private beach 👇

Great budget luxury hotel. 3 minutes walk to beach
Great staff, friendly, awesome breakfast, pool's wonderful. Big rooms with great bathrooms. Will definitely stay there next year. And not expensive compared to hotels on beach 3 minutes away.

Wonderful hotel within its means.
The staff is lovely. The hotel albeit slightly old, has just about every facility you could ask for. And that private beach is rather nice.

Lovely hotel but far from centre
The evening staff were very helpful as regards booking a rental car and boat transfers etc. However the morning staff of the day we rented the car refused to be a third party witness of any previous damages even though we were told the night before that they would. Restaurant was closed very early so had to depend on the very few restaurants surrounding. Chaweng beach is beautiful and we spent a lot of time there although a good 30 minute walk. We had a great stay but the hotel is a good distance from the main town. Would highly recommend to higher a car to see all that koh samui has to offer!

Convenient hotel in the calmer part of chaweng
The service was exceptional. The room was decent sized and cleaned everyday. The view from balcony to the pool was also good. The pool was quite big and clean. The breakfast was a little too expensive at 250 baht and the bathroom had a bit of a smell but except for that, it was a good value for the money. The location was quiet but walking distance to the chaweng downtown area. There were also some good restaurants close by.

We stayed the one night as a transition hotel. Shower was weak, breakfast was OK. Barking dogs in the middle of the night multiple times keeping us awake.

Good clean hotel
Spent 5 days at first residence and was a pleasant stay. Room nice and clean as well as the bathroom. Far end of chaweng so you need to hire a bike or take taxi to get to main part. Pool was nice and clean, dunno about the restaurant as didn't eat there. Only thing lacking is a room safe, can use the safes at main reception bit that is only between certain hours.

Nice location, very affordable, and pool is great
Best value for money you can find in Samui. The room was very spacious and was cleaned properly by staff. Tuktuks to the main street are just 50 baht per person, so with 5 mins drive away - this hotel provides amazing proximity to the scene in an affordable price.

Great location, basic hotel
The hotel was towards the end of the strip on chaweng beach. Location was great for the price with a half hour leisurely walk down the strip to get to the shops and restaurants. We arrived and were given a room of the first floor but had paid for a pool view room. The lady quickly changed us to a room on the fourth floor over looking the pool with no problems. There was no lift so this was a bit of a trek. The room was basic but clean and for the price we could not complain. There was a sewage smell coming from the bathroom at times which wasn't so reassuring. The shower was a bit temperamental to get to the temperature you want. You also have to go down to reception to ask for a hairdryer which was a bit annoying. One umbrella in the room which was good for the rain season but could have done with 2! The bed was two singles put together and the split could be felt. Rock hard beds too but there was a sign saying to ask for a soft mattress topper if needed. Breakfast was below average, however one of the guys that worked there would prepare an egg your way fresh. I probably would not book this hotel again as we booked it last minute due to a change in our travel plans but it did the job and was a key location for us. The price was a major factor for us as we had left another hotel on the west of Thailand early due to the bad weather.

Nice hotel, clean an well located.
Hotel is very nice, basic but clean, friendly and well located, in a quiet part of chaweng but also close enough to the madness, cost us 50 baht each to main area (about £1) rooms are clean and air con and wifi are very good, only negative was the bar/restaurant closed early, around 3-4pm, which was maybe due it being quiet when we were there but there is a small supermarket right opposite the hotel. Staying here also gave us access to the sister hotel and private beach which is very nice and literally 5min walk away. Staff always friendly and helpful, very nice little hotel would deffinately return.

Excellent value for money
This is a fantastic hotel, it has all you need at a great price. The pool is great and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff were very helpful. The main section of Koh Samui is a short taxi ride away however there are some cute bars near to the hotel.

We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of our holidays in Thailand .. This is a fab hotel it has everything that you could wish for .. It's clean ,the staff are great and will go out of their way to make your stay one to remember , I admit I was a little aprehensive when my partner first suggested this hotel only because of the price being low but I'm so glad we stopped .. Really this hotel should be charging double this rate its that good .. Hotels clean Staff are so friendly and helpful Pools just right We never ate here so I can't rate the restraunt only because we liked the food markets so much which are a ten minute walk away in the hustle and bustle .

This Hotel Had Everything I Needed
I stayed at First Residence Hotel for 9 nights. The staff were very professional and helpful when I needed anything. My room was quiet,spacious and clean. The instant coffee, tea bags and bottled water came in handy in the morning. I made coffee with the electric kettle provided in the room. The bed was big and comfortable too. The room was a good value for the money. I am so glad I stayed here. I hope to stay here again in the future.

Beds could be softer,constant loud speaker from vehicles advertising Thai boxing and live dance party's booms Through the complex day and nite making it hard to sleep,not the fault of the resort.great friendly staff,exceptually clean complex,very reasonable meals and room service.could do with elevator for older patrons. Dental surgery beauty smile next door l had my teeth done they were great and good price,very happy.

Nice busget hotel
Hotel was about 30 minute walk from the centre but only 50 baht per person in a taxi. Pool and rooms were nice -all you really need for a Budget holiday!hotel staff were so lovely and really friendly. We liked this Hotel because it was about a 5 minute walk to the beach, close enough to the town but also quiet and safe enough when you were ready to go to bed!

Bit too far away and hard bed
This hotel was a little too far away from the main shopping area. For the price is cost us to get a taxi back and forth several times a day we could have stayed at a slightly better hotel. The hotel staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful, however the beds were hard as a rock and difficult to sleep in. Excessive power lines directly in front and behind hotel are off putting. Skip booking breakfast. Overall ok for the price.

Great Hotel
For the price paid, very good value. Nice pool, very friendly helpful staff. Nice rooms with balcony and view over the pool. Buffet breakfast also good. The only negative was that as we were on the fourth floor, there were no lifts (good exercise after all the good food). Also the hot water was a bit hit and miss but overall a great little hotel.

We booked this hotel 2 days before we arrived on Koh Samui and it was great considering we only paid around £30 for the 2nights we stayed. Nice pool and friendly staff. The hotel is right at the bottom of the Main Street of bars and restaurants in Chaweng. It seemed most of the travellers we saw there were either young couples or groups of students. Room was comfortable and clean.

Great room for the price. It is about 10 min walk to the beach. Easy to get to food. Very clean, comfortable and cool. Staff was extremely friendly. We had them do laundry and it was quick and cheap. Never ate there. Good food nearby. Nice pool.

The hotel in general was good value for what we paid The rooms were fairly clean and beds were changed every day the pool is small but still ok but not many sun beds in the pool area We did not eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food It was a bit noisy during the week we were there due to other guests slamming doors at all time of day and night Bad points. 10 percent service charge on all drinks and food that's one of the reasons we never bought or ate in the hotel. I grudge paying for something then a 10 percent service charge and expected to leave a tip We did eat in the sister hotel first house hotel the staff there were really good and the food was good also I rented a motorcycle from the same hotel Tip. If motorcycle is for 2 people be sure to get a 135 cc. Koh Samui is very hilly and outr 110 cc was dead on the hills

wifi had been down but the hotel owners took the time to repair it and it is now working very well. They take a personal concern for the guests which was wonderful. So the hotel is great for both business and holiday travellers. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The food excellent. The rooms very nice and the cleaning staff superb. I will definitely come back

Good location bad hotel.
First room had adjoining door. Very loud. Staff switched after 2 nights to better room. Bathroom in both was pretty dirty, mold on the shower curtain and smelly. Staff did their best with what they had. Location was pretty good, but you get what you pay for at this hotel.
