Very Nice place close to the everglades. Clean and quiet area with A Nice pool, good breakfast, Kind staff. Only problem we had was A very noisy aircondition, so we had to turn it off during the night.
Have stayed here repeatedly. Beautifully decorated - not your average hotel. I always get the gulf view suite. Beautiful sunsets over the gulf. Most responsive housekeeping. As soon as you bug out for breakfast, they are there. Evening turn down service is very nice too. More than clean. Total package is outstanding.

Located on a barrier island in southwest Florida, this Italian Renaissance–inspired resort is on the edge of the Everglades …More
From the moment we checked in we were treated special. While this is an old building, its kept in great shape, fresh paint and new hardware. Great sitting out at night along the inlet. Quiet street too, no hustle, bustle. Would recommend to anyone.
had been to Marco Island once previously on business and stayed at the Marco Beach Island Resort. I chose Crystal Shores based upon location, price and reviews. I was more than a bit concerned when we arrived and construction was in progress. At check-in I also extrapolated that this was a timeshare. However, my fears never materialized. We heard no noise from the parking lot construction and the timeshare rep was pleasant and not pushy. We did not attend the presentation because I was again spending half of day on business. However, we are entertaining the idea.
This was the largest most beautiful condo we have ever rented...bar none! Two large bedrooms at opposite ends and an amazing spacious open kitchen, LR, dining area. Plus two very nice lavatories.
The timeshare runs like a cruise ship with a daily events schedule. Wine, beer and liquor tasting, projected concerts, two nice pools with large hot tub, pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, putting green, floor chess, etc... Also, Stilts(z) restaurant was fun and had amazing views right on beach.
Wave runner, Hobie Cat, paddle boards and parasailing on property and adjacent Hilton.
PS: Weather was tremendous with sunny temp in low to high 80's!
"I would recommend this hotel, with reservations. "
Pluses: The cabin has been refurbished and was clean. Staff members were pleasant. The deli that is associated with the cabins offers very good and fresh breakfast sandwiches and other food. The location is excellent.
Minuses: The hot water ran out, and the shower pan pools, due to poor drainage. The cabin has very little surface area on which to put travel items (e.g., cosmetics, purses, paper/pens).
Chokoloskee is off the beaten path. It's a causeway-connected island south of Everglades City, which is itself off the beaten path. The Outdoor Resort is mostly a very nicely maintained RV park, which also has an 8-room motel, where we stayed. This is a rustic, relaxing place. Has a nice pool and spa. Not too far (couple of miles) from a few fun seafood restaurants. Near the funky Smallwood general store/museum. We explored the Everglades for three days from this place. If that's your kind of activity, this is a fine place to hunker down at night,
