The staff couldn't be nicer, the hotel was close to everything. You are right on the beach. The maid service could have been better but that seems to be a problem wherever you go today. My wife and I would go back to Marco Beach Ocean Resort in a heartbeat. Beautiful.

A few very negative things. I just wrote them all down and when I kept on going, it did not allow me to and when I went to erase the last line I erased the entire comment, these were very, very vital things for you at the AARP end
because things were NOT what they appear to be.
1- Property in the back facing our balcony/terrace= "The Adams Family" Home.
2- The $165 per night rate + 50 for room cleaning (for every 2 nights) when it should have been part of the
daily rate, not in addition to.
3- The fact that the 2 best restaurants on the premises as well as 50% of the shops were close for 2-3 weeks,
as well as lots of restaurants in the island.
4- It was suggested that if we were not members of AARP they might consider taking off the $50 cleaning charge,
(yes it is on their contract after the fact) yes, we could have cancelled but we were already set to go and it would have been a pain to us. Yes, you get a discount as an AARP member o n one hand and they tag you w/a $50
penalty o n the other to make up for it.
I know we are wasting our time with this, simply because that's the way things are in America today - nothing gets done ever especially with the Sr. Citizens.
Enjoy the reading and have a great and healthy day and please be safe. Respectfully. . . Tula & John!
Room was good. Bed was fairly comfortable. Not a comfortable set up for sitting, especially if you want to have a conversation. There was construction next door, so sitting on the balcony was noisy during business hours. We started off with a room by the a/c compressor (I think)...very noisy. We were upgraded to another room for no charge. Restaurants were just good and pricey. But the convenience of not having to leave to go elsewhere made it worth it at times. There are nice shops and restaurants across the street...an easy walk. The staff were excellent, no complaints at all.
"I would recommend this hotel, with reservations. "
Pluses: The cabin has been refurbished and was clean. Staff members were pleasant. The deli that is associated with the cabins offers very good and fresh breakfast sandwiches and other food. The location is excellent.
Minuses: The hot water ran out, and the shower pan pools, due to poor drainage. The cabin has very little surface area on which to put travel items (e.g., cosmetics, purses, paper/pens).
From the moment we checked in we were treated special. While this is an old building, its kept in great shape, fresh paint and new hardware. Great sitting out at night along the inlet. Quiet street too, no hustle, bustle. Would recommend to anyone.
Very nice 3 bedroom home, close to stores and beaches. Loved it. House is a little dated but clean. Pool was great with a hot tub built in. Beautiful view of canal on a corner lot that felt secluded by empty lot next door and trees all around.
Only weird thing...listed as three bathrooms (which we really wanted) and two of the bathrooms are in the master bedroom.
So then 2 couples had to share a bathroom, while another couple got two whole bathrooms. Strange.
Most of these private four-bedroom homes are located on or near Marco River, and less than nine miles from Boyne South Golf …More
