firstly rooms were unclean and not up to standard .... we moved rooms 3 times first room filthy not been hoovered the bathroom was very dated with lots of mold in the shower ... 2nd room the bathroom was dated and cold ..and the lock was broken on the door ..3rd room was ok but bathroom tiny very dated couldn't regulate the radiator so boiling hot or cold .the tap water was dangerous boiling water no regulator valves on the taps. The electrics were not up to regulation with the fan mot working in bathroom and no isolator fitted. Bar staff and cleaning staff polite and friendly, not so the reception staff, did not acknowledge me when returning door key.
Fantastic service was offered, including my late evening arrival being catered for. Lovely room with all facilities needed, very comfortable stay. Would highly recommend.
Great position right opposite Tewkesbury Abbey and plentiful free parking for guests. received a really warm welcome.
The room was a typical greene King Hotel room, fairly basic but clean and comfortable, but very good value.
We both slept well.
We have since booked to stay again with friends.

The unique character of the Bell, felt quite homely and comfortable.Staff were very good.
Beautiful food, though too big a portion for the smaller appetite.
We enjoyed our stay, will come again.
The room has had its day, plaster work was crumbling and the room was very dated.
The condition of the windows was appalling ie the wooden frames, the bathroom was in a very poor condition, the sink was cracked. I would not recommend this hotel.
I tried to book through Expedia for 25 Aug but it came up as 3 Sept. They said they contacted the Bell to rearrange / cancel and now they are asking how did I enjoy my stay? Won't use Expedia again. Please ignore the terrible ratings as it only applies to Expedia and it won't submit without a rating.
We loved our stay at The Bell. We were met by Rosie, who cheerfully explained everything. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. We did not eat dinner at the hotel, but our hot breakfast was outstanding and beautifully presented and served. The cold options were just as good. We will definitely come again!
Nice, centrally located hotel and pub.
Helpful friendly staff.
Rooms a little basic and in need of an update. Cleaning could be better.
Breakfast very good with great choice of fresh options.

A BIT TIRED PROPERTY. BUT STILL NICE .WHAT MAKES IT IS THE STAFF THEY WERE AMAZING COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR YOU THANKYOU
Not perfect but a lot of good points to staying here
Perfect location for visiting the Abbey and the town and a great centre for touring around . The hotel is of course very old and the floorboards in our bedroom creaked with every step . Our bathroom had plumbing which required attention and it also needed a magnifying mirror similar to the one in our daughter's room . The beds however were comfortable and the food in the restaurant was very good both at breakfast and dinner .
A really lovely hotel with helpful staff and superb service, we were really well looked after. The rooms are clean and comfortable, great parking, great location in town.
Lovely view of the Abbey.
Magnificent breakfast!
My wife and i have stayed here many times and always a pleasant experience,
Molly at reception on this visit was particularly helpful and professional

The staff at the hotel were brilliant - nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.
We ate there for dinner and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals.
My only criticism would be the rooms which could do with being refurbished - they were spotlessly clean but in need of repair and up-dating.
We couldn’t fault the location of the hotel which is directly across from the fabulous abbey, a stone’s throw away from the river and weir and a short walk to the high street with lots of pubs and restaurants
Overall, we had a lovely weekend and have already booked to go back later in the year.
Wonderful old building. My room had a great view of the Abbey.

We enjoyed our stay because the staff are welcoming and friendly. The bar and dining was very good. We were in the Annexe and although the bedding and towels were nice and clean the room was tired looking and in need of refurbishment.
Parking difficult as it was a pay & display with no spaces reserved for hotel guests. The breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the room had a terrible view and you could hear noisy people talking outside. There was an awful spell when the extractor was switched on in the bathroom.
Stayed at the Bell Hotel in Mid August 2022, taking three rooms. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful but the hotel was looking pretty tired in our rooms and surrounding areas. Two rooms were OK but room 14 is right next to the hotel boiler room. It was a very hot day and the room was stifling. You cannot open the windows more than can inch as it was ground floor, and there was not even a fan in the room. The only spare fan the hotel had was broken and you couldn’t even get cold water out of the tap in the bathroom. It was the worst night’s sleep of my life. The bells from the Abbey over the road are lovely, but not every 15 minutes all through the night! The hotel did financially recompense, but a word of warning. Won’t be returning.
Absolutely fabulous from start to finish.
Nothing too much trouble and the food is absolutely amazing.
Wish I had stayed longer and yes, as the man said
I’LL BE BACK
