The Most Conveniently Located Hotel in Guernsey

Posted 06-Jul-2016
Pros: The location cannot be beat. Right down town surrounded by bars, restaurants and shopping. Very handy for the buses and the harbour (ferries, etc).
Cons: Many of the rooms are not air-conditioned so the windows need to be open, especially at night. This can cause problems if the T.V. is on.
Location: St Peter Port is full of really good restaurants. As Moores is right downtown you can walk to any of them. It is also handy for access to the harbour.
We stayed from June 24th thru July 4th (before the prices increased during the school holidays). We used to live in the island and had returned to visit friends and relatives. The convenient location allowed us to be available for people to visit and also we could catch buses to travel to various destinations around the island (no need to rent a car). The hotel is old but has been well maintained and updated over the years. The food in the hotel restaurants was of a very high standard and the locals and well as visitors eat there on a regular basis. The rooms are quite small but adequate and the bathrooms are modern and well maintained. The staff were reasonably friendly but remember this is a U.K. hotel so they can come across as being off-hand and stand-offish.

good hotel in a very good position

Posted 05-Jul-2016
Pros: The service.
Cons: Written information in the room was not current.
Location: Central location close to promenade, shops etc.
Helpful staff, large pleasant room with very nice bathroom. Different restaurants within the hotel gave more than adequate choice of meals. Elegant lounge useful if the weather is wet.

Good Hotel close to everything you might need

Posted 17-Jun-2016
Pros: Good food good service comfortable room. Hotel very good in all aspects staff particularly helpful.
Cons: It is a pity that the couple of light bulbs were not replaced when the the problem was mentioned to staff
Location: In the middle of Town and shops, a couple of minute walk from the waterside. Bus terminus, the Bus service is excellent, is just a few minutes walk
Generally very pleased with our stay and would happily recommend stopping here to anyone The only possible downside is the early morning Delivery/Service vehicles are a bit noisy, at the front of the Hotel and the odd late night reveler can be a bit annoying but don't let that put you off its a good Hotel.

Right in the middle of St Peter Port

Posted 21-Mar-2016
Pros: Room was excellent
Cons: Just try and resolve the noise issue. Complain to the local Police and authorities as it may lose the hotel repeat customers.
Location: Central location, close to bus station and local taxi rank and numerous restaurants within walking distance
Hotel is good, rooms very comfortable and staff helpful, HOWEVER due to its location I got no sleep due to the noise of drunks screaming at the top of their voices until 0330 hrs in the street. This lack of sleep ruined my stay. Please complain to the local Police
