Enjoy indoor and outdoor space in this welcoming 3 bedroom apartment. Spectacular dual aspect views of Granada’s stunning Sierra Nevada National Park. Large, well-equipped, private terrace for lounging and dining al fresco amid the mountains. Perfect for couples or families. Free wifi & parking. Beautiful location - 20 mins from the Alhambra Palace and historic centre of Granada (handy local bus departs hourly) and 35 mins from the ski lifts in winter. Great choice of tapas bars and restaurants within strolling distance and fabulous walks right from the doorstep. Car not necessary. Our calendar is always up to date with availability and the best rates for groups of all sizes. Please note - we are currently following Covid-19 guidelines - including increased breaks between bookings and enhanced cleaning protocols. In accordance with the latter - extraneous cushions, throws, ornaments have been temporarily removed in order to optimise sanitation of the apartment for the safety of our guests.


The property is ideally equipped to accommodate between 2 and 8 people. We have 3 double bedrooms, plus a quality double sofabed. A child's cot/z bed can be provided on request.

The main living room and bedroom windows face East and South - taking in the sweep of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The living room has dual aspect windows and French Doors onto the balcony. The large private terrace on the side of the property enjoys the same views.

The property offers a fabulous year round location for summer holidays and winter skiing - a comfortable, well-equipped, family-friendly base from which to enjoy everything that this richly diverse region has to offer.

Facilities For Families -
The twin room has it's own TV and DVD player with an extensive DVD library. The living room has HDTV Smart TV equipped with Chromecast - so guests can use it to watch programmes accessible on their own devices in their own preferred language. We also provide books and games, plus a small pool/snooker table for family fun and some equipment for smaller visitors (please tell us at the time of booking if you need our 'toddler pack' with cot, highchair seat adaptor, or an additional Z bed for a child in the master bedroom). The village itself is very child friendly - all of the restaurants welcome children and there is also a lovely new play park.

Outside Area -
The private terrace has ample space for dining and lounging . It is also equipped with a family-sized table and chairs, daybed, loungers, and a BBQ. The covered section of the terrace has the games area with pool table.

Guest access

Guests have sole use of the private terrace and balcony. The price also includes secure parking if required. Washing machine/tumble dryer available. Linen & towels included (including beach towels). Catering/one-off meals can be arranged on request. Mountain bike hire, horse-riding, canoeing, excursions, tapas tours, flamenco arranged on request.

Interaction with guests

Our friendly local keyholder, Rosie, will meet you at the entrance to the village and guide you to the property. She speaks English and Spanish and is happy to offer local information and advice if required.

Other things to note

This apartment is a lovely place to be whatever the season and is the perfect base for those who are seeking to combine a number of different elements into their holiday.

Güejar is a great base for a huge variety of activities - mountain biking, walks of all levels, climbing, canoeing, rafting, fishing, paragliding, horse-riding, winter skiing and summer fiestas. And all of this is only 20 mins from Granada - a great place to wander the tree-lined plazas, sample the tapas, listen to real flamenco and simply enjoy the traditional Spanish ambience of this lovely city.

This is also a great place to relax - whether topping up your tan on the sunny terrace, or simply watching the sun set behind the mountain while you enjoy a long tall glass of something.

The little village of Güejar Sierra, with its cobbled streets and flower draped balconies is something of an undiscovered gem. This is where the local Granadinos come to enjoy the best of all that the Sierra Nevada can offer.

The location is also only half an hour from the ski resort, and the pretty coves of the Costa Tropical are within easy reach (45 mins) - with some great 'chiringuitas' where you can eat fresh fish right on the beach.

The traditional white village of Guejar Sierra itself has great tapas bars, restaurants, local shops, pharmacy, bank and two lovely pools in summer. Our friendly keyholders are happy to give advice and can help organize chef services, tapas tours, hiking, biking, horse-riding, canoeing, treasure hunts for children and babysitting.

Guejar Sierra is also famous for its cherries - so just ask our keyholders if you wish to sample some local, organic, cherry jam!

Sierra Nevada ski resort:
The apartment is ideally placed for skiing at Pradollano (Sol y Nieve Ski Resort) in the Sierra Nevada. The Sierra Nevada boasts the highest downhill runs in Europe as well as being the most southerly - so it often enjoys better snow than the Alps. The resort - with its superb services and installations was built for the Winter Olympics and offers its visitors a wide range of facilities and a ski terrain to suit skiers & boarders of all standards. There are 70km of ski runs, 45 pistes and 300 snow machines guaranteeing snow on the slopes. There is also night skiing by floodlight! As one of Europe's highest resorts it has a surprisingly long season and traditionally opens at the end of November running through to the end of April or even into the first week of May. The resort is so far south that the climate is superb for brushing up on your tan and on clear days there are views of Africa from the top!

High spec apartment with stunning views
We couldn't believe our luck at finding such a gem of a property and, on arrival, fell promptly in love with Guejar Sierra. Very clean, very friendly housekeeper, very lovely village - everyone helpful and courteous - and VERY stunning views whichever way you looked! We brough two children with us and they had a fantastic time too - we spent a few days at the pool in Los Lomas camping as well as the waterpark. I couldn't recommend highly enough and will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much!

Great village , great views
The apartment is large , airy and well equipped. It benefits from floor to ceiling views of the mountains in the living room . The terrace ( off the third bedroom) is large and is cool in the morning for breakfast . The kitchen has most things you need but only two wine glasses . It has a washing machine and the appliances work well . The air con doesn’t work that well , it is strongest in the back bedroom but in the living room you need to stand under the vent to actually feel it .( I didn’t bring it up with the manager so not sure if this is normal) The apartment is on the first floor and the building is at the end of street neighbouring empty land , we experienced noise from teenagers on an evening who hung out there . Overall I would go back because of the views and size of the apartment . The property manager is lovely and wants to make you feel welcome .

Güéjar Sierra and Granada
Denise’s comms were fantastic and she provided us with comprehensive instructions beforehand to help us get there and contact the relevant people. We found the apartment had everything we needed as a family of four. The town has most things you’ll need. We enjoyed jumping on the bus into Granada and visiting the sights there (Alhambra is a must) as well as exploring the surrounding area. There are some nice walks and gorge walks too. We had hoped to try some water sports with the kids but new laws have stopped this occurring in the nearby lake. The apartment is great and we would recommend it.

Enjoy a stay in a traditional Spanish Village
We had a very pleasent stay in Denise’s apartment,overlooking the turquoise lake and mountains .Although a modern build,it is decorated tastefully,in a traditional style of the area,creating a clean,cosy feel.It is very well equipped ,comfy beds and a pleasent outdoor area where we enjoyed all our meals. We enjoyed exploring the village which is not a bit tourist and full of Spanish charm with its quaint curvy streets,visiting several bars for refreshing drinks and tapas. It is only a 2min walk to the friendly little supermarket and bakers.There are several shops,bars and restaurants around the central square. Rosie came to meet us in the square ,showed us round,explained about the garage and left us a tasty tapas and a bottle of wine from Denise,many thanks. Rosie suggested a walk along an old railway line,near the river.Here you can start with a cup of coffee at one restaurant and walk along and enjoy lunch at another restaurant along the way. This was an enjoyable day out with a walk along the lake on the way back. We had a lovely ride into the mountains and particularly enjoyed exploring the nearby village ,Pino Genil.A walk between Guejar Sierra and Pino Genil looks very interesting. We were impress by the beauty of the Alhambra but enjoyed the village life best. Denise is very good at communicating and sends you lots of useful information and directions.

Lovely apartment in a pleasant small town.
The apartment was wonderfully decorated. The kitchen is small, but has all the necessities for making a decent dinner or breakfast. The property manager is quick to respond to problems. We had a plumbing issue arise while there and she had a plumber there very quickly. The streets and garage are narrow and steep. Not for a nervous driver, but once you get the hange of town it’s not a problem. Pretty typical of small Spanish towns that weren’t designed for large vehicles. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Great little apartment, excellent value for nearby skiing
We (a family of 4) stayed at this apartment in early April to go skiing in Sierra Nevada which worked really well. The apartment is well-maintained and as described in a lovely village with several shops, bars and restaurants. The access is slightly tricky with narrow/steep roads but ok once you are used to it. The drive up to the ski resort is approx 30-40 minutes depending on the route you take. The quicker one is not for the faint-hearted but the slightly longer one uses the main road up from Granada which is well-maintained and apparently quickly cleared of snow (there was none whilst we were there). The Brisish ski center at the resort are very helpful with lessons/lift-passes etc. The communication from the owner and welcome was excellent, although we didn't have any issues I was confident they would be dealt with quickly and efficiently. There is a good collection of DVDs, some games etc. The kitchen is small with no dishwasher, but perfectly ok for breakfast and the few meals we ate in. The only slight negative was the water pressure throughout, especially in the showers which were well needed after a day skiing!

Blue skies, sun, mountains, rivers, forests, spacious apartment in hilltop village with views, drinks with tapas, cafés and compact supermarkets for all your needs in Guejar Sierra. Lots of short and long walks to be discovered in the Sierra Nevada from the doorstep. A day at the beach; tourism in Granada.. What's not to like?!
