Hotel condemned.
After traveling for 10 hours, we arrived by taxi to find that all the lettering had been removed from the front of the building and it was shut down. It turns out that after intensive inspections after the recent earthquake, the building was determined to be unsafe. There were personal on the scene which transported us to a nearby hotel ( The Palace) which truned out great. It's unfortunate with today's technology that Expedia cannot keep track of people's reservations and inform them of such incidents.

Nice hotel, great service
Customer service is not easy to find in Ecuador, nonetheless, the staff was very accommodating with finding restaurants, getting cabs, and helping out. The rooms were comfortably furnished, wifi was great too. Complimentary breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options.

Good choice.
We had a bit of difficulty confirming the hotel would pick us up at the airport. My cell wouldn't call Ecuador and they don't show an email address. The Hilton customer service was of no help at all, so a friend in Ecuador called them. In the future I will start confirming further in advance. The hotel is clean, downtown, nice rooms with good beds. Decent breakfast with eggs, meats etc. You can NOT drink the tap water in Guayaquil and it is very nice that the hotel puts a bottle of water in the room for your use. We have stayed here several times and will continue to so do.

Best hotel in the area!
All I can say about this hotel is that it's the best around in the area, very clean courteous staff pretty close to almost everything and best of all very secure. Every time I have to book a reservation in Guayaquil it's the only hotel I always pick

Beat Choice I could have made!
I searched many hotels. I decided on Hampton Inn because of its association w/ Hilton hotels. The provided courtesy hotel shuttle service to & from the airport. Sent us with a breakfast " to go" due to any early flight that would cause us to miss breakfast. " Thank You " , Hampton Inn Guayaquil!

Good Value.
Very good value for location. No charge for valet parking is a big plus. You don't want to drive your car in Guayaquil. Taxis is the way to go and the price is good. Hotel is within two blocks of El Malecon. You don't want to overlook this sight.

Tired hotel, badly maintained
Room with mold stains in the bathroom ceiling, no hair dryer, trash bins with no plastic lining and dirty, bed spread in bad shape. Overall, very bad experience. Not sure what Hilton is doing with a property like this one.

Refreshing after two weeks on the Pacific coast
I came to this hotel after 2 weeks in the 88 degree heat of Canoa. It was very nice to be in this comfortable hotel.The buffet breakfast was everything you could ask for.

Nice hotel in downtown Guayaquil.
It''s in downtown Guayaquil, near the"Malecon", several Catholic Churches, restaurants, businesses,etc.Good hot water, excellent breakfast, good elevators, staff is very good. The only thing I didn't like is perceptible mildew scent in the room and in the hotel in general. After a day you don't feel anymore....

Well located in downtown, close to the Malecon.
We came around 2, checked inn and went for a nice walk on the Malecon. Had a bite to eat, relaxed on the gardens and went back for a long walk. The hotel personnel was very friendly and helpful, so I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in downtown. Breakfast was included and many options to choose from.

Excellent hotel for business trip, good location, clean room and good rates. you have restaurants, shopping and many things to do close to this hotel. The breakfast is complete and delicious. This is one of my best option in Guayaquil. They offer transfer for free and punctual.

Great Hotel in the Heart of Downtown Guayaquil
Excellent hotel overall. Walls can be a little thin, but not so much as to interfere too much. Good Gym and spa facilities. Very accommodating and attentive staff. Clean room with comfortable bed.

These guys go above and beyond on customer & guest service. Staff was awesomely kind and friendly. I felt rested from an exhausted trip and there are no words that can describe those relax massages with Piedad at the SPA. My room was pretty clean and comfy, room service is fast. Breakfast buffet very healthy and assorted with every single kind of food for an ever-imaginable 1st meal. Do I need to say more?!

Nice hotel in the heart of Guayaquil
I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and was very pleased. This hotel located on one of the main streets in Guayaquil, Ecuador provided great service from the moment we pulled in at the sidewalk. All the staff was great. The hotel is clean. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices to select from depending on what you like. The gentleman working there was very attentive during my stay on October 15 - 17. Extremely pleased - Maria.

They are very ridiculous when it comes to the check in time. They are not flexible at all and if you get them to be, they will try to charge you a non-fair price for the "early check in" fee. I will probably not be staying at this hotel again. The first time it was fine but this last time the manager did not do what is right. Having to wait for over three hours after a loooong flight is not nice.

Perfect location, three blocks from the center of the Malecon 2000, a perfect place to walk and watch the people and families out and about. The hotel staff doesn't have good knowledge of the surrounding. The persons we talked to did not know of the nearest ATM nor the location of the Yacht Club which is 15 minutes walking distance on the Malecon. The pillows were the lumpiest I have ever had. The amenities need to be upgraded. The price is right though and there is complementary transportation to the airport. The driver dropped us of in front of the domestic entrance and pointed us to walk to the international entrance. Though only a few yards away, he could have driven the shuttle a few yards forward to avoid us having to push our two heavy luggage along. We gave him a tip anyway.

I was disappointed that I could not get refund for the days I did not stay at the hotel. There was no way to get in touch with hotel. Com and staff at the hotel was not helpful.lost 3 nights in the hotel. In case of emergency money should be refunded. My problem was emergency. So I was not happy. Will never stay at this hotel. Lo

Overall it was a good hotel. Spacious rooms, gym, sauna and jacuzzi decent. Great service. Only concern is that breakfast is over at 10:00. Food was good. We were greeted with a delicious slice of chocolate cake in the room! Delicioso!! Will stay there again next trip.

Reasonably Priced with Great Breakfast Buffet
This hotel is located on the 9th of October Blvd. in Guayaquil, a short walk from the scenic Malecon, the Park of the Iguanas, and the big cathedral. The staff at this hotel is very nice. There is a musty smell on the ground floor, but not too bad. The room was clean and acceptably appointed. Breakfast was provided with our room, and it was a very generous buffet, plus made-to-order omelets. The impressive thing about the breakfast was the effort and thought put into offering a varied spread from day to day. We were there for three nights, and the hot items on the buffet were different each day. Kudos to the hotel for providing this nice breakfast.

I went to this hotel for business travel. I found fine attention, comfortable and very equipped room, goon breakfast, many restaurants and other kind of shopping nearby. good gym and sauna. Pool is very small, it seems more a Jacuzzi. excellent taxi services and hotel bus transportation to the airport. High recommendable hotel.
