Good location, nice front desk and housekeeping staff. would be better if the fitness room attendant were a bit friendly and helpful. also some guests opened their doors while they talked loudly and smoked!

Worst hotel we stayed at on our trip. The rooms are nothing like the picture. Rooms are very dated. The mattress was a stiff as a board. Thought I was at a motel 6.

The staff is not good at English, hard to ask questions and get any help. The main desk and the entrance to the hotel in different floors, very confusing especially at night. No clear signs.

Very convenient location - in city centre and close to tourist spots, efficient service and tasty breakfast. Overall good value for money. My group of 14 family members all happy with their stay at the hotel.

The hotel is in a good location but the rooms are old and the beds are tinier than even the typical size at other hotels in China. A twin is the size of an American twin.

The hotel is very close to a lot of shopping and good food, and the lobby is nice, but not consistent with the room which had a residual smoke smell despite being a non-smoking room and overall was not very clean apparently due to cigarettes (housekeeping was good)

Perfect location
Big bed. comfortable fitting. Breakfast is not the best and is held in conference room. Hotel location is perfect for shopping and business administration.

Reached hotel at 3pm, rooms not ready to clean up yet (1 hour waiting) and just 2 staffs help to checkin , the manager just walk and see his staff serve guests.

Good place to stay in Guangzhou with two drawbacs
Efficient check in ...........nice room .........easy get to all the places we wanted to go .......very easy to get a taxi to the train station next day ...BUT .....there was no fridge (it was a locked minibar and we were not given a key) .....and the Free internet did not connect.

The experience was good, however I don’t think I will repeat it since it’s a long way from Canton fair, 45 minutes to go and almost an hour to come back. It is good that the hotel provides the free shuttles to Canton. The hotel staff do not speak much English

Nice hotel in the historic city center
This hotel is in the old city center. It's great for great access to shopping, good restaurants, and wonderful historic sites. Now the Chinese know how to share their history, so all the museums in the area are free to enter. You have access to museums that share history of more than 2000 years and as recent as 100 years ago

Close to Beijing Rd with great history
I try to stay at this hotel when I have free time in China. It's close to Beijing Rd and the shopping strip. Great atmosphere and safe and clean historic part of town

Clean and quiet hotel with excellent service. Location is close to beijing walking street. Nearest metro Gongyuanqian is 10mins walk away. Overall very good. Will stay there again.

2 Nights stay at Hotel Canton
The location is good. Shopping belt is walking distance of about 15 min away from hotel. The Chinese restaurant located at 3rd floor need to improve. The Captain (Lady) in black suit require training on courtesy and good service manner in talking to guest. The service quality is very poor. Notice that the Captain went into the cooking area to cook the dishes and serve guest while the chef is around. This is unacceptable and need to be addressed.

Good location, good clean room, good wifi
Location is good, less than 10 mins walk from gongyuanqian station. It has 2 lines, convenient to travel to various places like airport, shangxiajiulu, mausoleum. Beijing lu is less than 5 mins walk away. Room is good, clean and spacious. Air conditioning and hot water always available and working well. Wifi is great too but not fantastic, acceptable for hotel standards and good enough for simple browsing and chatting. Overall, hotel canton is a dated 4-5* hotel with its age showing. Efforts to improve and adapt is visible but still has signs of wear and tear especially on carpet and furnitures. For my stay, I have no complaints and recommend hotel canton for the location and value for money price.

Clean Rooms, no foul smell
This hotel was hard to locate. The location is convenient but the hotel is tucked away in the corner away from the main road which made it hard to locate. On the plus side, the room that we stayed in was clean, beds are comfortable and we had a good night's sleep on the nights that we stayed here. The staff was helpful too. Overall a pleasant experience.
