Awful hotel management

We call the hotel directly a week before our arrival to ask them for an extra bed in our room. We were told that they would make sure that the bed was there upon our arrival. Once we made it to the hotel, we were told that they didn't have any extra beds available for that night even though I explained the previous call, etc. The answer that I was given was that the hotel was full "but tomorrow we will try to have something for you". For the next few days there was no bed and not even a simple call from anyone explaining or even making an excuse. During check-out, I told them how disappointing the experience was and I spoke once again with the manager but I was given a simple "sorry". I gave them my e-mail and told them that I would be expecting a message from their top management and after 8 days I am still waiting.
