Zentrales, gepflegtes Hotel

Posted 28-Sep-2016

Great place and location

We fell in love with all the staff in this Hotel. We loved the service, the room, the deco, the building, the art they had. The only thing I didn't love was the pillows.

Amazing surprise!

The hotel is at the heart of downtown, has parking that is included and right besides the hotel. The breakfast was AMAZING, service was incredible. The only downside is the fact that it has no elevator so it is something to take into consideration. Because the city is UNESCO patrimony the building cannot be altered, so it´s understandable yet still something to take into consideration. The hotel is near enough where you don´t have all the noise from the main plaza, but it takes 3 minutes to get there. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!

Nice ambiance, good service, good location

Posted 10-Apr-2016
Pros: Armando is the best concierge. He is extremely helpful and charming. We liked the location, the good breakfast and the very comfortable bed.
Cons: There is no elevator. If you have difficulty walking, ask for a room on the first floor. There are 4 floors. The hotel carries your bags to the room.
Location: Good restaurants, shopping, music within 2 blocks. We walked most places. Cabs are plentiful and cheap.
We had a very nice stay in this hotel. Our room was upgraded, and we enjoyed eating breakfast out on our terrace. It is a converted hacienda, and each room is different. Nice bath products and large rooms with comfortable beds and linens. We took a first-class bus for $7 from Guanajuato to San Miguel. The ride take 11/2 hours, and the bus is better than the ones in USA; reclining seats, TVs, refreshments. No need for cars in Guanajuato or San Miguel.

A memorable stay

Posted 18-Mar-2016 on Hotels
Beautiful grand building; beautiful huge room and bathroom with very high majestic ceilings; nicely decorated; very comfortable bed and pillows; good wifi. The staff were all very kind and helpful; they even let us keep our room until our night flight out (which no hotel ever does)--much much appreciated. The hotel is located very close to the jardin, restaurants, stores, and other sights. The breakfast was the best we had at any hotel in Mexico--compliments to the chef. Despite the unexpected cold and rainy weather (and snow flurries even), we had a wonderful time here (and the bad weather forced us to spend a whole afternoon in the room, which we wouldn't have otherwise done, but was very relaxing and welcome).
