Way to much $ for what you get

Posted 21-Oct-2016
Pros: Staff is very helpful, free breakfast (though I did get sick the first day from it), big parking lot, has a good restaurant & bar next to it.
Cons: Need to be cleaned, painted, grounds pick up. Needs a complete remodel.
Location: Good restaurant next door & Micro Brewery, but other than that you have to DRIVE to get towards the beach or any other places worth going to.
Paid $259 a night for Holiday Inn Express in Grover Beach. Next to noisy 101, walls are paper thin, can hear everything next to you, above you, under you. Can also hear everyone's door slamming shut because each door is massively over sprung. The stair well (because the elevator is soooo slow) has dry wall, spackling, paint work that you can tell has been in process for years, no one has finished it, looks and smells bad in there. Pool & hot tub is like following a maze just to get there and once there towels & garbage that have been left overnight still litter the place. For $259 a night I could have got a place NEAR the beach and with much less noise and garbage. Very disappointed.

Pros: Clean facility. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast bar hot items were not very good at all.
Location: Great location. Close to everything we were needing.
Every thing was excellent. Hot portion of breakfast wasn't very good.

Close to the pismo outlets

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it was very clean, plenty of towels, cute and great smelling toiletries. what I loved was that if you happen to forget some of your basic toiletries you can tell the front desk and they'll be able to provide it to you. There are several shops and restaurants nearby and the beach is very close. The continental breakfast is actually a "full" breakfast and it's infinitely better than running down to the McDonald's down the street

Great Breakfast!

Posted 09-Aug-2016
Cons: Ice machine in lower building needs to be replaced. Lower building finishes need to be updated.
Have stayed here before and enjoy coming back when playing at Pismo. Staff works hard to make your stay comfortable. Gets crowded at times for breakfast but plenty of food choices.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted 22-Jul-2016
The front desk staff was welcoming. She gave us a map of the surrounding area and suggested that we visit Avila Beach. I was impressed as soon as I entered the room. The room was very nice and spacious. Everything looked clean, including the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The room included an iron, blow dryer, Keurig coffee maker, and a mini fridge. My husband and I we're very pleased.
