"This was truly the trip of a lifetime& the hummingbird was the coziest place to come back to each night! This little camper was just big enough for the 2 of us and the proximity to the Schoodic side of Acadia was unbeatable. The host was very friendly and checking in and out was a breeze! Keep in mind if you are taller than 6ft the bed and shower are small, but the perfect location and wonderful host make this stay wellll worth it!!"

"The location and view are amazing! I did not expect our room to be on the second floor of the main building, up 25 steps. This was difficult for my husband and made carrying luggage a challenge. It was odd to not have someone in the building as we were checking in, it seemed less than personal. The room, especially the bathroom was small. When we asked about housekeeping and clean towels, we were told we could request clean towels, but they were not a hotel, more of a bed and breakfast... except it was a limited grab and go breakfast. The stay was fine overall, but it did not meet my expectations. There was a window air conditioner, which we did not need, but it meant we could not open the window for fresh air."

"Regina's Cottage is magical. The location can't be beat: close enough to Bar Harbor and the heart of Acadia on MDI (less than an hour's drive) to be convenient, but far enough away to avoid the **considerable** crowds. And the portion of Acadia on the Schoodic Peninsula is spectacular and much less crowded (and only a five-minute drive away). The town of Winter Harbor is also charming, with a few good restaurants (don't miss the lobster roll, lobster poutine, and homemade wild blueberry pie at The Hotdog Stand), the views from Grindstone Point, and a small but sufficient grocery store for all your basic needs. But the real star here is Regina's Cottage. What a special place! Cozy, comfortable, with everything you could possibly need, and tons of privacy. The views are truly spectacular. We spent the week watching the water and the wildlife, with lobster men and pods of harbor seals active within a hundred feet of shore. In addition to daily visits from the seals (which we were able to watch closely thanks to the powerful binoculars available at the cottage), we also spotted loons, cormorants, herons, gulls, deer, and countless other sea birds we couldn't identify. The house is kept very clean and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to host a dinner party. All the amenities are as described and worked perfectly. The place is an honest-to-God 10 out of 10. Would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat!"

"Property was clean. Although it isn’t a bigger space the living room was spacious! Never felt claustrophobic, was perfect for two. Air conditioning worked and they also had an additional fan. The placement of the property has a beautiful view of the lake. Right outside the front entrance was a balcony overlooking said lake. A 10 minute drive to Ravens Nest view point (a must see). If you have trouble with stairs, the entrance does require you to ascend which was no problem for us."

"This is a great place to stay if you want to get away from it all. It is clean and has a very nice kitchen and living area. A grocery store, restaurant and ice cream shop are just across the street. Only drawback is that it is a long way from Bar Harbor. The eight miles mentioned in the description is the as the crow flies distance across the water. It takes about 50 minutes of driving to get there, which is a lot more than we had anticipated. Still a great place to stay though."
