Surrounded by 10 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and gardens, the property dates back to the 12th century and boasts a large veranda equipped with a dining table, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Tuscan landscape. Among the outdoor spaces you will also find a lounge area, ideal to relax while reading a book or sipping a glass of wine, and a suggestive stone-lined pool (14 x 4.2 x 2.3 m), with sunbeds, shade umbrellas, a wet bar, and external shower. Moreover at guests' disposal there is ample private parking, a bowling green, a fenced tennis court (Astroturf), a gym with exercise equipment, weights, and a ping pong table. Equipment for all of these is provided. Children can also enjoy the enclosed trampoline. The villa is a short walk to a path that leads to extensive walking/biking trails along the Fiume Pesa. Internal Description Internally furnished in an elegant and comfortable style, Villa la Corte is spread over 3 floors, and can sleep up to 12 people for a total of 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Included Internet Wifi. All bedrooms are equipped with conditioning. Pets are not allowed. Ground floor: The ground floor consists of: a large ancient arched stone entry hall, a fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, microwave, oven, two refrigerators and dining table); a spacious dining room with wooden table and massive fireplace; a living room with sofa, tv, fireplace, and games table; a large billiard room with snooker equipment as well as a dart board. A toilet and a laundry room with washer and dryer make the rest of the floor. First floor: The first floor is dedicated to the sleeping area divided as follows: a master bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom, 2 double bedrooms (one of which can be transformed into a twin) with ensuite bathrooms; 2 bedrooms (that have the option of two single beds or one king) with a shared bathroom down the hall. There is also a large sitting room with a massive fireplace and a bookshelf, as well as another large room typically adorned with flowers. On the mezzanine floor there is a bedroom with 2 singles (convertible to a king) and ensuite bathroom. We often felt we were living in a painting. The hosts were very attentive and provided several home cooked meals which was included in the price of the rental. They are also willing to stock the refrigerator before you arrive for the price of the groceries. The beds were very comfortable and air conditioned. Greve and Panzano are both close and there are a couple wineries with restaurants at two kilometers or less from the house. Pool and gardens were great. I have never seen so many different types of butterflies in one place. The grounds are wonderfully kept and the pool/pool area is fantastic. We were greeted with a wonderful welcome dinner by Rafael and Marinela - a married couple who are caretakers of the villa. They prepared several evenings of multi-course meals for us - wonderful!! The villa had many books, artwork, and mementos collected by the owners. It was clear they were world travelers. The villa was cool and each bedroom's air-conditioner worked well. All bedrooms except one (the small one off the stairs) had air-conditioning. The villa itself kept quite cool due to the structure. The outdoor spaces were wonderful and had screens/curtains to protect from the sun. You will experience mosquitoes during dusk hours. You'll also see butterflies and bees zipping around the beautiful gardens and honeysuckle walls. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing Tuscany vibe! ##### Wendy T.
