With private access to Moosehead Lake, you will be able to spend the day dangling your toes in the water from your private dock as you look out over the lake. With vaulted ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace, this home boasts a cozy ambiance that everyone will look forward to returning to year after year. After a day on the water or hiking along the trails nearby, whip up some comfort food in the fully equipped kitchen and visit with loved ones as the sun goes down. Everyone will love cuddling up on the couch for a movie or telling stories around the firepit as the stars come out. Spend the day fishing at the lake, sunbathing on the boat, or exploring the area on a hiking trail! Big Squaw Ski Resort is just five miles away for all the snow play you can squeeze into one day, so bring the skis and snowboard along in winter months. Tee off at Squaw Mountain golf course and perfect your swing on warmer days of the year or head into Greenville for a plethora of shops and restaurants to choose from. Things to Know Wood-burning fireplace (firewood not included). Private washer/dryer. Dog-friendly. Train tracks in close proximity to the home. During the winter, there is no direct access to the lake for snowmobiles. The use of snowmobiles on the property is prohibited. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Dock details: The dock is currently not suitable to secure boats larger than 15' long for extended periods of time. Temporary dockage is fine, but the current leg dock is not designed to withstand foul weather. The dock is available to use from the last weekend of May through the second weekend of September. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors! Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Clearly someone has put time into this home. This place was nearly perfect! It is beautiful and much of it seems newly renovated. It has a nice large living space and kitchen. Bedrooms are a good size and the beds were comfortable. The master is amazing. The basement level is perfect for kids and adults to play a variety of games. Clearly two of the three bathrooms are new or nearly new and are beautiful. There is a nice laundry room and access to outside from both the main and basement levels. The view is lovely from the back deck and the stars are incredible. We did not use the grill but there was one available. Generally, my biggest complaint is with the condition of the kitchenware provided, but this kitchen was stocked with is the best dishes, glasses, mugs and cookware I have ever seen. We enjoyed the local restaurants, hiking trails, and many miles of beautiful road trips within easy driving distance. Sorry, we didn’t have room for our trash outside. Main floor bathroom smells like pee. exhaust fan downstairs bathroom didn’t work. Two ply toilet paper would be appreciated. The grill was filthy. Need better instructions for operating gas fireplace. Front door needs to be adjusted or lock fixed. The basement provided lots of entertainment for the young kids while letting people upstairs sleep in. The view is great and the house looks beautiful when looking up from the lake. Stayed 3 nights in Sep 2022 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Kristie W. 14 Oct 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy Pros - amazing, convenient location, spotlessly clean, almost perfectly equipped kitchen even with lots of guest leftover seasonings, condiments, etc for use., beautiful view, fun to see the train pass by, super nice showers, lots of games, great layout for larger group.Cons - it was clear to me that this is run corporately and I’ve always had great luck with Vacas. There is mixed messaging everywhere. Between texts, vrbo, vacasa and written instructions in the house. Checkout instructions for example… one said to wash and put away l dishes. Another said it’s ok to leave them cleaning in the dishwasher. Written instructions in the house says there is some detergent provided and when we went to wash smelly clothes at the end, there was none. But worst.. and this would seem so petty, yet we spent 500/nt at this place…. Was the fact that it didn’t have a way to make ice. No machine on the fridge - no big deal, except there were no ice trays. And the weird messaging made it clear they outsource customer care after hours, or maybe entirely, and nobody is overseeing it. The answers are canned corporate and AI speak, telling me to review the listing - which I did because this was so odd? A 500 a night house that can’t provide ice trays yet has every other last thing? And then, when we messaged about the missing detergent, the local manager - who was LOVELY - said “I could have brought you that” when I asked about ice. It’s just a bummer when you pay this much… ##### Kristie W. The area of the dock was not clearly marked. The refrigerator was not working properly and did not maintain an adequate temperature. It would be helpful if there was a book with detailed instructions on how to work the television, locks on the doors and the shower head upstairs. ##### Penny L. Had everything we needed. The lake access and walkway down to the water was not safe for any of us to really get down there with ease. The pathway should be updated to be safer. The lake access is not somewhere you can park your chairs and spend the day by the water. It’s a small dock with not a lot of space. The land before it is shaded and is only a path through the woods to get to the dock. The train was fun to watch go by. Overall a very beautiful home, however the lake access was disappointing especially for the kids. ##### Jade M. The house was beautiful, but there wasn’t a frying pan, broom, clean mats and a few other items that you would expect. There is black mold around every window!! When you open the windows, there are tons of dead bugs. Down by the dock was a dangerous mess (pieces of metal, ropes just thrown down); my husband spent two days cleaning it up down there so my Grandson could go down there! ##### Diana L.
