Budget friendly

You get what you pay for. The room looked more like a college dorm, could have been a lot bigger. The room had a stinch while walking into it and I was visitied by a bug. But the price for the room was great and hotel staff was very friendly.

Much better in the past

Cracked tub surround, stained carpet, stained sofa-bed, stained window seating and computer chairs. Heavy smoke smell in the bathroom from the vents.

Quick getaway

Our stay at Microtel was very relaxing and quiet. Close to restaurants and shopping but secluded from the city hustle and bustle.

Great safe location

Posted 31-Aug-2016
Pros: Clean and friendly
Cons: The thermostat on the A/C. When it was on, the temperature remained the same no matter what degree you set it at.
Location: Across the street from the hospital. Well located to areas of Greenville and a mere 5second walk to Jimmy Johns.
Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but selection was average. I really had a very nice overnight.

Cozy

Posted 29-Aug-2016
Very pleased. Check in and out smoothly and quickly by smiling staff. Room clean with everything in working order. Cozy bed. Quiet night. Parking lot well lit. AC controlled by wall thermostat and it didn't leave me stuffy in the morning. Bathroom counter big enough for my things getting ready next morning. The counter curved allowing me to get closer to mirror for morning routine. Seems silly but some hotel bathrooms have poor lighting and no way to get close to mirror. This one was small as I had a single room but lighting was abundant and I was happy with the mirror access. Small closet area and 2 drawers for clothing along with bench seating at window. No fridge or coffee pot but that was probably stated in description. It was just an overnight stay so I didn't need them. I missed free breakfast because I chose to sleep in!

We were first given a room that was dirty and that had not been cleaned. Carpets and upholstery were dirty and tattered. Rooms were small and cramped, very dark. Not awful, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

HOTEL STAY

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Pros: I LIKED THE PERSONNEL THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY. THE BREAKFAST WAS FRESH & GOOD.
Cons: NOTHING.
Location: THERE'S NOTHING TO DO NEARBY BECAUSE IT'S IN A LOCATION WHERE HOSPITAL FACILITIES ARE.
IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THEY HAD ODORIZED THE ROOM A LITTLE MORE BECAUSE IT SMELLED LIKE THEIR HAD BEEN SOME WATER DAMAGE PREVIOUS IN IT. SO I HAD TO GO OUT & GET SOME AIR FRESHERS FOR IT.
