Beautiful area

Posted 13-Aug-2017
Pros: I like the area.
Cons: The cleaning of the room can be done much better.
Location: There's good walking space. There's a Marriott next door and a veterans' housing down the road and a assisted living place and a store.
The overall experience was okay. The first day my room wasn't touched at all. When I explained it to the manager, he checked with housekeeping. He told me housekeeping didn't touch the room because I had a "Do not disturb" sign on the door. There was no such sign inside the room to even put on the door. There was no water even though there were a fountain and a Crystal Rock machine. However, the room did get clean after the first day. The bathroom floor wasn't cleaned. The experience was okay. The manager was pleasant.

Cheap hotel, poor quality, unclean.

Posted 19-Jul-2017
The carpet was stained, urine was dried on the face of the toilet, the springs on the sleeper sofa could be felt through the mattress. The regular bed was too soft and uncomfortable, and there was not a iron or board in the room.

Not clean

Posted 18-Jul-2017
This hotel was not what I expected. Carpets and upholstered surfaces were all very stained. There were dead bugs against the baseboard between the beds. The bathroom had a hole in the wall that had been repaired but not painted. The toilet tissue holder bar was missing and the roll was hanging on the holder frame. The security lock on the door was loose. I will not stay at a microtel again.

Disaster

Posted 15-Jul-2017
The fire alarm went off twice during a four day stay. Once when I initially arrived and at 5:45am the day of check out. I asked for a late check out due to being woke up by the fire alarm which stayed on for 20 minutes. Check out is 12pm and I asked for 1:30 as I needed to take medicine for a migraine that I sustained from the loud siren and flashing lights of the alarm. I wanted to try and go back to sleep and was told that Ibwoukd be charged if I stayed past 1pm. This was at the Greenville location.

1.We had problem adjusting the Air conditioner. It was set on 68 and ran continuous. When set to 70* it smelled and felt like the heat was coming on. 2.Carpet needs to be cleaned. 3.This was my 4th stay at this hotel and I will more than likely stay again. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast.

Due to all of the activities taking place in town, all hotels were overbooked. So we had no choice. The room was dirty and smelled like urine. Need I say more?

Disappointed

Posted 19-May-2017 on Hotels
I booked my room for May 17-18 over a week in advance when I knew I'd have to spend more time in Greenville than originally planned for a follow up appointment after a procedure. I came in the morning of the 17th around 10:45am and was given a room number and keys before I went to the hospital for my outpatient surgical procedure. I came in at that time just so I wouldn't have to stand for too long to check-in after coming back from the hospital. She told me I couldn't enter the room until 3pm and that worked for me because I'd be at the hospital for a while. I walked into the room around 3:45 after being put under anesthesia, having outpatient surgery, and just getting discharged from the hospital and there were tools all over the bathroom. I then had to go stand and wait at the front desk for much longer than necessary for them to switch me to a new room. The lady was snappy with me and I was tired and in pain from having surgery. When we got the new room, there were pillows on the bed with makeup stains. When my sister asked for new pillows in exchange for the dirty ones, the lady at the front desk was once again rude. I paid too much for this room to be treated this way when all I wanted and needed was a comfortable place to sleep after surgery. I thought for sure this would be the perfect place to lay my head after a stressful and painful day instead of driving 2 hours home; however, I was sorely disappointed.

Good experience. The ac in the room probably needs to be checked. Had the thermostat set on 60 and the room was still stuffy and warm.
