Good Economy Hotel

Posted 16-Oct-2017
The staff were super nice and accommodating. Our room was a good size and it looked as if our mattress was newer. The sofa and chair had a couple of questionable stains but we never used them. Our room did not smell like smoke and it was kept clean. There was a club lacrosse tournament at the university the weekend we stayed so our biggest complaint was the noise. There were kids partying in the hall both nights and the second night someone ran down the hall knocking on all the doors at 3:15 am. Management was aware of the issues but when most of the rooms are rented out by these kids, what can you do? Overall, it was a good stay given the cost.

Excellent Value For My Second Stay Here.

Posted 27-Aug-2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Medical Center across street if you are visiting a patient there.
I highly recommend this hotel location in Greenville, NC as this was my second stay, lasting 6 days. The staff is super friendly and responsive, the property is newer and very well maintained (new carpet being installed right now and should be finished.) Breakfast is good with fruit, yogurt, bagels and muffins, make your own waffles, instant grits or oatmeal, good coffee and juices and hard boiled eggs. Safe, clean, convenient location and great staff. And an amazing value! How can you improve perfection?

Beautiful area

Posted 13-Aug-2017
Pros: I like the area.
Cons: The cleaning of the room can be done much better.
Location: There's good walking space. There's a Marriott next door and a veterans' housing down the road and a assisted living place and a store.
The overall experience was okay. The first day my room wasn't touched at all. When I explained it to the manager, he checked with housekeeping. He told me housekeeping didn't touch the room because I had a "Do not disturb" sign on the door. There was no such sign inside the room to even put on the door. There was no water even though there were a fountain and a Crystal Rock machine. However, the room did get clean after the first day. The bathroom floor wasn't cleaned. The experience was okay. The manager was pleasant.

Cheap hotel, poor quality, unclean.

Posted 19-Jul-2017
The carpet was stained, urine was dried on the face of the toilet, the springs on the sleeper sofa could be felt through the mattress. The regular bed was too soft and uncomfortable, and there was not a iron or board in the room.

Not clean

Posted 18-Jul-2017
This hotel was not what I expected. Carpets and upholstered surfaces were all very stained. There were dead bugs against the baseboard between the beds. The bathroom had a hole in the wall that had been repaired but not painted. The toilet tissue holder bar was missing and the roll was hanging on the holder frame. The security lock on the door was loose. I will not stay at a microtel again.

Smh....

My stay here was only okay due to a multiple issues. When I pulled up, the trashcan outside was overflowing with trash. There was trash in the hallway on tbe floor I stayed in and the same trash was there the next morning. My room did not have a shower curtain nor any towels in the room. So I had to call about having thwm put in the room. There was not a comforter on one of the beds. I had to go downstairs to pick one up. I had to request an iron, which was odd to me because majority of hotel rooma now have them in the room. At this hotel, you have to go retrieve one from the front desk. The juice machine did not work during continental breakfast so you could only drink water or coffee. This hotel was convenient as far as distance from ECU, which was the main reason for the booking. However, I'm glad I dis not have to stay here for a long period of time. I'll never book thia hotel again.

Disaster

Posted 15-Jul-2017
The fire alarm went off twice during a four day stay. Once when I initially arrived and at 5:45am the day of check out. I asked for a late check out due to being woke up by the fire alarm which stayed on for 20 minutes. Check out is 12pm and I asked for 1:30 as I needed to take medicine for a migraine that I sustained from the loud siren and flashing lights of the alarm. I wanted to try and go back to sleep and was told that Ibwoukd be charged if I stayed past 1pm. This was at the Greenville location.
