Across the street from the hospital

Posted 29-Apr-2017
Pros: Location, price, shower.
Cons: Clean out the air condition/heater and vents. New carpets.
Location: Hospital across the street.
Convenient, inexpensive. Great water pressure in shower. If you are only going to catch a few hours of sleep, it suited. Very old motel. Could use remodeling. My room's air conditioner smelled moldy. Room had a dehumidifier in it.

Old and outdated. Safe and clean and that's really all I needed.

Ok but very dusty.

Posted 10-Feb-2017 on Hotels
Room 228 needs a deep cleaning. A good 1/4 inch thick of gray dust fluff was on the ac/heater and all vents. Besides that it's a good bargain for 69$ a night. Carpeting needs replaced. The mattress near the door of our two queen room was broken. Our next door neighbor's cigarette smoke came in our room all night so if you have allergies make sure it's NOT a room with an adjoining door.

Do not stay here

Posted 06-Feb-2017 on Hotels
Tub was dirty as well as the sheets and blankets. The blankets were so stained with urine and blood that I wanted my money back. Since that didn't happen I consider it a lesson learned. Spend the money and don't stay at this place.

Room Cleanliness

Comfort and quiet was really good, however bathroom cleanliness was lacking. It looked as though the floor had not been mopped in the recent past. There were also stains on the mattress cover.

Nasty and out dated

Posted 03-Jan-2017 on Hotels
Would never stay here. Rooms are filthy. The breakfast sits out all day in the containers. The mirrors haven't been cleaned in so long there was,a coating over them. Bad reception on the tv hut it a few times to get it working. Lots of noise on the outside with foot traffic all night and day. Could not sleep. Would never stay again.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Posted 04-Dec-2016 on Hotels
I lost my home about 5 months ago and every since then Ive been living in and out of hotel rooms. Usually they are clean and comfy nothing to fancy but its a sleep for the night, needless to say East Carolina is one of my favorites, well at least it was. After booking a room with my last 70 dollars I checked into what was a nightmare. The covers has been pulled back, body prints in the sheets, bathroom/towels dirty and trash every where. It was obvious the room hadnt been clean from its previous guest. I thought although its inconvenient, I will just asked to be moved to another room. Sadly the desk attendee told me they didnt have any more rooms and that I couldn't receive clean linen because he couldnt sell me the room. I told him the room has already been sold because my money is gone. He responds "I WILL TELL THE MANAGER IN THE MORNING" Not like that does me any good for the moment. I then had to contact hotels.com who were more than helpful. They found me a upgraded hotel near by that was walking distance, and even apologized for the inconvenience of the hotel. Just add 6 more dollars and stay at the Quality Inn. Its worth it!
