Disappointing stay, room 7 was very cold (even with heating on), no curtains at windows just blinds, water pipes very noisy on either side of window obviously was waste water from upstairs rooms, no hot water on Sunday told new boiler switches off overnight and they have to put it back on in morning and takes few hours for hot water, we had to boil kettle for hot water, beds comfortable, breakfast good. My bank card was charged for another room prior to our check in was told they must have your bank card when I said no I had it myself I had to show them I had it, asked for manager to phone me Saturday no call, on checkout on Sunday asked to speak to manager told she was fixing a toilet and to give it a week for refund, asked for evidence refund processed and was given receipt for other room with the other residents personal details name and address on (receptionist wasn’t bothered when I explained she’d gave me the other persons details breech of data protection).

We stayed as a group of friends for 1 night to attend a concert. Gorgeous building. We had the family suite which was spacious and a good selection of teas and coffees. Beds were really comfy and our room nice and warm Staff couldn't have been any more helpful even allowing us to have breakfast even though we were slightly late in getting up in the morning. Our hangovers Definately thank you for this. Food was well cooked and great selection of fruit, pastries etc

The room was not the one advertised on the page. No heating (the system turns off after 1 minute), not sound isolated, there is a constant sound of dripping water. I expected more for 150 euros per night.

A lovely hotel
A lovely hotel in a great location. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice.

For the first time ever, I sleep in a hotel with good mattress and pillows!!! Breakfast was really good, friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are huge, but maybe the toilets are too small. But overall, I recommend it! Good choice!

Lovely building but got very little sleep due to noisy pipes, heating?? in room 2. Also no mattress protector just a sheet over the mattress which is not very hygienic. Rest of the room was adequate.

We were in a party of 4 people and we were so happy with the hotel, the beds were so comfortable, the cleanliness was fabulous so clean, the staff couldn’t do enough for us, the staff were so helpful they were amazing, so friendly and the breakfast was delicious, so tasty and fresh, there was a choose off full Scottish breakfast, omelette or continental. I honestly cannot say one negative thing about this hotel, we are booking again to go back in October

Great Location Hotel
Great location near Glasgow West End. Hotel looks lovely, however i had a single room downstairs near a communal toilet. The door banging was loud unfortunately. The room was small and comfortable, however needs some TLC. Service was good with friendly staff. Would definitely book the hotel again, but book an upgraded room

Beautiful hotel with lots of character! Staff were so friendly and ready to offer their assistance regarding finding your way around Glasgow, room requirements etc. Breakfast was top notch, eggs made the way you like them, fresh fruit, yougurt, cereals and typical Scottish fare beans, sausages etc. We cannot emphasize enough how great our stay was and location is in a beautiful terrace area in the west end. Bus stop three minutes away on the Great Western Road, across from a Botanical Gardens entrance, three blocks to Byers Road! Great restaurants and shops all within walking distance including the Hillhead subway stop! We will be back and do not hesitate in recommending the Belhaven to all!

Nice but….
The Belhaven is a comfortable place with friendly staff. Bathroom set up was imperfect (shower was not set up properly), and when the bathroom door was fully closed the person in the bathroom was locked in! It was warm when we visited and ventilation was poor.

Well priced single room for an overnight
Booked a simple low priced basement room with use of my own bathroom only a few yards away. Room was spacious, comfortable, adequately furnished, clean and quiet - all I needed for an overnight trip to the city to see friends. Very close to the sights and attractions of the west end - Byres Rd, the Botanic gardens, and free parking across great Western Rd near Kirklee Post Office. Would stay there again.

After a rough few days of travel we arrived to the hotel and welcomed by a very friendly staff member at the front desk. We discover there was a mistake we made on our booking and needed a different room and they were extremely accommodating and very kind. This kindness turned the trip which started as a series of unfortunate events into a lovely time exploring Glasgow. I would definitely stay again. Thank you very much to the Belhaven for their fabulous service.

The location was perfect for me. The staff was so accommodating, i had everything I needed. Both Violetta and another woman whose name i didn't get (short blondish grey hair, seemed like the manager, she was amazing) provided impeccable service. Breakfast is very good. I don't think I've ever gotten better value for my money at a hotel ever. Stay here, especially if your trip's focus is the West End of Glasgow.

This quant hotel is a brisk walk to Byers St that has many nice options for lunch and dinner. Our fav is Old Salty’s. The staff at the hotel was outstanding. They happily accommodated us to a first floor room.

Easy for Glasgow west end stay
The hotel has sone great old world charm and decor. Great ornate ceilings etc and sash windows. Perfectly placed for staying in the west end of Glasgow. Could do with some double glazing though to cut down the road noise but not sure if thats a planning issue as none of the properties in that street appeared to have anything other than single glazing which isnt very eco friendly. I dare say its a Glasgow council nonsense, same as the lack of parking. Hotel clean and staff friendly.

Ok stay - but not ideal
The room was ok, but a little sparse. Bed was comfortable, except the pillows were lumpy. It was hard to get in and out of the shower as the sink was across the shower curtain. The bar was closed as "they don't hold a license", which was disappointing. Also, as we were told that the street parking is no longer free after 8am, we got up for a 7:30 breakfast (as that is when it opened). Then the lady who was to cook for us only got there at 7:30, so we just had a light / rushed breakfast.

Good location but Tired looking
The Belhaven is located in the West End close to shops, bars & restaurants, plus the Botanical gardens and access to subway to Glasgow central, the hotel itself is looking very tired and could do with a serious makeover, our room was very large and functional, it was quietly located, but bathroom definitely in need of an upgrade. Didn’t have breakfast there as a lovely coffee shop located across the road

The building and the neighborhood are really beautiful. The staff are very nice. We chose a budget room which was not comfortable enough. We will return but not in a budget room. The owner is absolutely lovely & helpful, and the breakfast is very good
