Convenient

Posted 27-May-2017
Pros: Liked location and the clean, spacious quiet room.
Cons: More information about access when booking.
Location: Close to all types of restaurants, hop on/off bus, train station.
Right in the city center. Walk to restaurants, bus and train. Great friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean and quiet room. Only negative is access. Climb 2 sets of stairs to the lobby. Especially bad if you have luggage and/or mobility issues.

Close to everything

Posted 26-May-2017
Pros: The staff and location.
Cons: Nothing
Location: City center location puts visitors close to tour centers where insivdual tours can be arranged. Several shopping areas are within a 5minute walk.
While not a totally full service hotel, the staff makes up for anything lacking. We found the staff to be extremely helpful, and treated us like family. The hotel is just a short walk away from shopping and restaurants. Facilities were clean and modern. I would definitely stay there again. A great value.

Clean and basic hotel in a great location.

Posted 25-May-2017
A clean and basic hotel, lacking in character, but very close to all the sights of Glasgow. The check in/out staff were bored and uninterested, however the room was large and clean. We would stay there again as we barely spent any time in the hotel- but if we were going back we would choose to eat elsewhere next time. There is so much choice of restaurants and bars on your doorstep, that eating the bland hotel food seemed a waste.

Great location for downtown access.

Posted 21-May-2017
Pros: Access to everything central.
Perfect location for anyone who wants to walk the downtown. Easy access to the Queen street train station. If you are not familiar with trains, use this station. It is much smaller than the central station (=less people). You must carry your bag from the street level up a few steps to get into the lobby, but after that there is an elevator to your room.

Excellent hotel

Posted 18-May-2017
Pros: Everything, breakfast is great
Cons: There is nowhere to park
Location: The subway is great ( the third oldest in the world) clean and not too busy and will take you to most places. We loved the Duke of Wellington statue
This is a lovely hotel, well presented and clean with lovely helpful staff, it is in a great central location close to everything we chose to explore by subway which is very close by and convenient, the public transport is great with buses running late into the night. Glasgow is a quirky city with a great mix of old and new loved it

Close to railway stations

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: Close to all amendments ties and railway stations.
Close to both city centre railway stations. Decent size room, big bathroom. Breakfast OK, could do with more fruit on offer. Didn't effect us but no parking for vehicles.

Great place

Posted 10-May-2017
Pros: Helpfulness of hotel staff, cleanliness, and location.
Cons: I would suggest more television channels (a choice of 5 seems archaic!)
Location: The the Glasgow Sightseeing Tour on double-decker buses is excellent. You can hop on and off to explore attractions of greatest interest to yourself.
Hotel staff are very knowledgeable about great eating places, bus timetables etc. and are eager to help. The hotel is centrally located and close to the train station (great for day trips to the country) Despite the central location, it is surprisingly quiet. It is clean and well maintained. I would recommend it!

Convenient

Posted 07-May-2017
This was centrally located and very convenient to many local sites. I do wish however there was a lift to the lobby. I had to carry heavy luggage up two flights of stairs to get inside.

City centre location

Posted 19-Apr-2017
Pros: Central location
This hotel was in the ideal location for shopping and close to several fantastic restaurants and bars .I had a superior which was nice though they did forget the extras which were included in the rate ,however when we pointed it out to staff it was sorted out immediately and when checking out our rate was discounted which was a nice touch, the breakfast was buffet style and was good ,the staff were eager to please and very pleasant.
