Great hotel in walking distance of Glasgow Centre

Posted 18-Sep-2017
Pros: The pool is a hit with my daughter and its in walking distance from all the Glasgow shops.
Cons: Making sure you follow up on housekeeping requests.
Location: 5-10 minutes walk from Central Station so not far from the Hydro or the shops
Always great value, The rooms are clean and the pool is great. Always been great value for such a central hotel. The staff are always happy to help. We were a tiny bit disappointed this year as we only had 2 towels for 4 of us and after requesting more, they never appeared. A tiny grumble really as we had a great stay and it wouldnt stop us coming back.

Good base

Posted 18-Sep-2017
Although a little walk out of town, it's so close to the M8 turnoff that it's easy to find & park. The city tour bus stops outside and that's a great way of getting around. Staff were variable in their attention to detail. Food was ok, GF bread & cereal available which was a bonus but v poor dinner selection & seemed quite pricey so only had breakfast there. Spa a bonus with a good swimming pool.

Hotel & staff great, rooms very old fashioned

Posted 10-Sep-2017
Booked here to go to a concert at the Hydro. Our room was ready earlier which was a bonus. The hotel & the facilities look great upon 1st impression. Our room was lovely & spacious but very very dated & old fashioned. Bed was very comfortable. The chairs at the table definitely weren't, there was no padding on them. The bathroom needed some tlc but clean enough. The room was far to warm & the ice maker didn't work. Had dinner which was tasty and the breakfast was average. Town centre only 10-15 min walk away so quite central. Would go back if I was going to a concert and just staying for 1 night but if through for shopping would definitely get somewhere closer to town.

High priced for what we got.

The walls were visually dirty. Hand prints on head board. The beds were uncomfortable. The bar had only one server for food and drinks and bartending . We left and went to the Marriot across the street. We had two towels all in. We stayed in room 512. Perhaps it was just a unlucky draw because of early check in.

Awesome hotel close to City Centre train station

We loved this hotel!!! We had a great view from our room which was on the corner at the end, so it felt very private. The pool was very nice to swim in. It was great for our last night in Scotland :)

Very close to City centre

Good location, breakfast was good too, set us up for the day - pool relaxing though looked 'tired' in some places. Was more than adequate for our needs.

Great staff, nice pool, decent location.

Posted 27-Aug-2017
Pros: The pool and the staff
Cons: We stayed in 2 different rooms at 2 different times over the last 2 weeks. Our first room looked tired, the second one was much nicer.
Location: Close to city center. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops
Stuart at the front desk was amazing; he was so helpful with misplaced luggage and Expedia booking difficulties. The pool was amazing, breakfast was average, bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.
