We had a very comfortable stay in this very conveniently located hotel, just outside St Moritz city centre. It is a beautiful old hotel but with all the modern amenities that you would expect with a hotel of this quality.

Good but could be better.
Good hotel and reasonably priced by St. Moritz standards. The location is also good, it’s a short walk away from the restaurants and stores. I wasn’t impressed with the breakfast which does matter in St. Moritz because it saves you from spending $50 on a meal elsewhere. No eggs, no bacon, and no pastries.

I booked this hotel because of its wonderful reviews and it did not disappoint. I spent the night here to catch the Glacier Express. A shuttle is available to and from the train station for 12 Chf each way. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated. I arrived a few minutes early so I waited on my room on a beautiful terrace with a spectacular view of the lake. Breakfast was great as well.

Lovely hotel
The location was very good. Staff members were very friendly. Their restaurant served nice foods including the breakfast. They have their own parking lots available on first-come-first-served.

I loved our view..fabulous! We also really enjoyed the 2 people that do the breakfast buffet! Very helpful and friendly. Front desk staff not too friendly. What we didn’t like at all was the fact that the lobby smells of cigarettes and that indoor smoking is allowed..(even by the staff)!

Very old hotel that has not been adequately modernized. Room arrangement unsafe. Refrigerator on floor right next to bathroom door. Very easy to run into. Garbage can also in way of bathroom door. Something wrong with shower but do not remember. Even with elevator still had to go down and up a few stairs to get to room. Would never return.

Hotel was a 15-20mins walk but I suggest not to, it’s quite a hassle to drag the luggage over. Our check in timing was 2pm but when we arrived the hotel staff said 3pm because some guests checked out late. She was smoking in the same area which we were waiting while talking to another person. So we waited at the area and after a few minutes, in which she was done smoking, she say the rooms can be checked in. So was she not ready because she was smoking or the rooms were indeed not ready, you decide. Breakfast spread was quite a fair bit which was good.

The hotel is very charming, clean with an attentive staff. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with many local options if you chose to venture outside the property. Train station while in walking distance I suggest a taxi and or the hotel service.

What an amazing place! Walking distance from train and all shops. Great shuttle service to other parts of St Moritz. Breakfast was amazing! But what really sets apart is the amazing staff! Will be coming back !

Very nice hotel. We got a double room with a lake view and it’s worth the price. The view was amazing. The room very clean and spacious. And the bathroom is the fanciest I’ve seen so far. Friendly and respectful desk staff and restaurant staff. The free breakfast was delicious. They also offer a shuttle service to the train station for a minimal fee. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in St. Moritz.

Great breakfasts! We appreciate very much the free passes to trains, buses and even gondolas. We’ve actually taken the gondola at Bernina Diavolezza to the top and had a great view of the beautiful peaks like Piz Palü. Very friendly and helpful servers in the restaurant.

Completely amazing view, room & setting. Everything in the room was finished to a very high standard. Although lacked a few minor touches-toiletries, shower gel/soap.

Our rooms has the best views! The restaurant downstairs is very lovely! Our server Tino was amazing! I wish I can take him home! The receptionist Aliza was very lovely as well, informed us about the included ride to Muottas Muragl, and was very informative when we needed clearer directions! Thank you so much! You two made our visit very nice!

Great visit
We had a great stay at the Soldanella. We were looking for a place with local charm and could not have been happier with our choice. The room overlooked the lake and was well worth the premium. The room came with a pass for free public transportation and free access to the mountain lifts. We had dinner in the dining room both nights of our stay. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The only drawback was the bar. Both nights we wanted to go in for drinks but the cigar and cigarette smoke turned us off. However we had a bottle of wine on the outdoor deck. The view and full moon were fantastic. I heartily recommend the Soldanella.
