"Bar was good, albeit with a very limited range of hand pump ales. Also it didn’t have available the bottle of Chardonnay I ordered from the wine list. Breakfast offerings from the buffet and menu were very good. However, the fish chips, and mushy peas I ordered one evening (£18.95 on the menu) were simply awful in every respect including quality and portion size. Several other nearby establishments charge the exactly same price for a far superior version. That aside, the location is excellent, rooms more than adequate, and the staff friendly and helpful. So, overall, a positive experience from our six night stay."
