Solid choice for a business trip.

Pros: The lobby and facilities were relatively modern, and the location was convenient.
Cons: I hate to be critical, but the restaurant/cafe downstairs (not the bar) was terrible for lunch.
Location: This is right across the street from the Gerald Ford Museum, if you're into that sort of thing. You're also about a 10-15 min. walk away from brewery
I was visiting Grand Rapids for a business conference, and decided to stay somewhere close to the conference center just over the bridge. When I first checked-in, the room I was assigned had not been cleaned and was still in disarray from the last guest in the room. They apologized and assigned me another room on the 7th floor. The room accommodations were what I'd expect from a 3-star hotel - nothing special, but it got the job done. The only complaint was that, because of the location, there was the constant sound of being right next to the highway. Nothing ear plugs can't fix, but something to consider if you're a light sleeper. Other than that, if I was on a budget I'd certainly stay here again. The cleaning staff and other folks in the hotel were very friendly. The view is actually pretty great as well.

Great Hotel

In town for a Griffins game, decided to stay here due to its proximity to the arena and the restaurants and bars. The reasonable price was a big factor as well.

I won't be back

I was given a room with one double bed. The room was tiny, dark and uncomfortable. The walls are thin so all sounds resonate in the room. All in all just an awful stay

My wife and I purchased tickets to a Griffins game and need a place to stay. Where the hotel was located was perfect for us. Everything we went to, was in walking distance. I'll definitely consider booking another room at the Holiday Inn!

The room was very clean. The staff was courteous and helpful. Right downtown - easy walking distance. Would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Tired

I hadn't stayed at this hotel in over a year and maybe it's because I'd gotten use to other new hotels but this place is tired. It's not bad, just is in need of a face lift. And for the more they charge (per night)....NOT WORTH IT.

Excellent location to Federal Court and law office

Pros: Location, comfort, cleanliness and service.
Cons: Not much, it was comfort to arrive and check in after traveling from San Antonio, Texas, to Grand Rapids, Michigan
Location: You can walk across the street and go to a nice museum, walk to the United States Court House, and walk to downtown locations
Memorable. The temperature was freezing, the flight was long, but once I arrived at the hotel, the staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. The reservation was waiting, and the staff sent my documents by fax. The bathroom was clean, the shower had good pressure and hot water, ample and comfortable towels I have had multiple surgeries to relieve herniated discs, torn rotator cuffs, and knees. The bed was as comfortable as the bed I purchased for my personal use. The food was comfort food, and well prepared and promptly served.

Would have preferred a hotel with free continental breakfast. Also didn't like that the light to the bathroom was in the hall by the door to exit the room... odd.
