It was pretty run down. Lots of leaks in ceiling. Room dirty. Pool was closed. They ran out of waffle mix . But the stuff they had was good we didn’t all get to eat any though.

I am not too picky about hotels. I do not have a problem staying in places that need updating but they have to be clean. This place was not. I could tell my room had not been vaccuumed well or maybe not at all. I even found a bottle cap on the floor. The towels smelled terrible and i can only hope that they were clean. Gross! I wont be staying there again.

Customer Service amazing, hotel not so much
Customer Service was great. The guy at the desk was friendly and helpful. He knows the town and was able to answer my questions about local restaurants and night life, even gave suggestions. He was the only reason we decided to continue our stay. Hotel room had clear water damage and neded some TLC. There was an odd sound..like a mechanical sound coming from somewhere outside of our room all night long...The price we paid was elevated because there was a home game that weekend for UND's hockey team. It was not worth the $86. I do see that "normal" price is $56 and that would have been more understandable. Great employees, not so great hotel.

A good hotel at a reasonable price.
Quick overnight stay for the Kiss concert at Alerus. Hotel is dated, but was clean. Check in was quick. No complaints.

The room I purchased was all sold out when I got there, so I was put in a 2 queen room when I was supposed to be in a business king bed suite, and still had to pay all the extra fees. I want some of those fees refunded

Thank you for your review, we are sorry the King business suite was not available but upon reviewing your reservation you were given a 2 queen business suite which is actually the more expensive room so we did not charge you the extra price for the double. The only difference in the rooms that you booked were that you had 2 beds compared to one. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for staying with us.

We were very disappointed that the pool and the sauna were broken. Very disappointed that when we booked that we were not informed of this. I feel that there should have been a huge discount applied because of this.

Hotel from Hell
It was the worst hotel stay ever, bed was hard and sheets were dirty, pool didn't work, hallways were dirty with beer bottles, back door check in key device was ripped off the door. Fridge in the room had food in there for 6 mths ago, bath tub I thought I was going to fall in, TV didn't work, garages outside was so full that there was piles of garage on the ground. The front deck man wanted to have his friend drive my car to the concert then bring it back to the hotel and leave the keys with the front deck man which I found very strange. Will never stay there again,

We arrived at 2:50pm to check in at 3:00. There was 2 people sitting in the waiting area chairs listening to music and a bit of a line. When we checked in, the gentleman at the front desk said our room is not quite ready yet. We figured we were still 10 minutes early so after we were given our room keys, we stepped aside to wait. The front desk person called out to the two people sitting on the chairs listening to music and they got up and went down the hall. He noticed we were still standing there and said we could go to our room, it could be done or they could be finishing it up. We arrived at our room and NOTHING had been done. Towels all over the ground, garbage cans full and garbage on the ground, and a very off putting brown mark on the bathroom floor. We went down the hall to see if we could spot the housekeeping staff and the two people who were sitting and listening to music in the waiting area dressed in street clothes were apparently them. I went back to the front desk and asked when our room would be cleaned, it is now 3:40pm. The front desk person was very nice and definitely seemed stressed, he said they had a huge rush of people and they are working on the rooms. We waited another 30 minutes, over an hour after our check in time and decided to go out for a bit and hopefully it would be ready. When we got back the room was SORT OF better. New towels but no shampoo, brown stain remained, and no peace of mind that the sheets were indeed changed. Unacceptable!!!!!!

Pool was closed for maintenance which was fine but there were people sitting outside doing drugs which was a little disturbing. Staff was nice but the place is really run down.

Stayed here about 10 years ago , and was a great little hotel for the price, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. This time around, it felt like it’s 10 years older, broken down, dirty, really making you question WHY am I staying here?

The hotel was full and I was told understaffed. The door we went in had garbage spilling out around it and some bottles when you stepped in. I had requested main floor for my mom but we were on second floor. The tv didn’t work unless a staff member came up and fixed it. My blanket had smoke burns in it and stain on sheet. At breakfast of the 2 juice options, orange juice was empty and no refill for it. The pool also happened to be closed at arrival. Hopefully once up to full staff it would be better!

We apologize for the inconvenience of the second floor, we always try to honor guest requests whenever possible but sometimes based on occupancy the night before it is not always possible. We also apologize the TV was on the wrong input when you arrived, we will coach the housekeeping staff on this issue. We used to stay here all the time, the condition of the hotel has seriously deteriorated, there were hardly any staff members available the breakfast was extremely limited, Pillows should’ve been thrown in the garbage a couple of years ago the top bedding was ripped there was no mattress pad or anything if you even move the sheets slipped off the bed and you were laying on a bare mattress. Staff there did the best they could pool was under renovations which we already knew when we booked, sidewalks not cleared properly outside door would stick open in a snowbank and caught on.

The bathroom had a hole in the door the sink and drain very rusty aswell as the counter top peeled off.and when w e asked about the pool it was closed because it needed a heater the desk clerk told us it hasn't been operational since 2018 but did not show or say anything about it being down E bruoght our 11 year old grandson so he could have a swim.only to find out the pool wasn't operational,not to mention nothing in the ad stating that the pool was closed

We were never made aware of the pool and hot tub being down, they compensated for those being down by referring us to swim at Townhouse hotel. We took the time to go to said hotel only for there hot tub to also be down. We spent hours calling the hotel to speak to someone about our reservation and he told us that he had been on the phone all day with people and that’s why he didn’t answer our billion calls. Was constantly sitting on there cell phone. (Horrible customer service) The bedding on both of our queen beds was torn and had big and obvious holes. The sheets had stains. Beds weren’t even neatly made. The carpet was torn away at the walls. The bathroom door had a huge chunk missing out of it on the bottom. The hallway was ridiculously cold had to of been in the 50s. Their laundry room from a view while walking passed it was a disaster. They have a poor breakfast selection. The hotel smells. There was more, just too much to remember. Only good thing about this place was the heater in the room worked great to aid in the cold temps they keep the hotel at.

I am sorry you could not get through on the phone however we had many phone calls due to the busy weekend. Breakfast is something we offer although it is no longer required our selection includes waffles, toast, a variety of cereal, pastries, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, milk, coffee, juice, and tea. we do use air freshener in the rooms and hallways and we are sorry to hear you did not care for the scent. Our linens are older and there are plans to replace them and more once the pool is finished. Thank you for staying with us.

Pool and Hor tub closed, I had to shovel the snow away from door to get into the hotel. Had to have the front desk re-key my card 3 out of the 5 days. Internet did not w ou rk all the time, coffee machine did not work 4 out of the 5 days I stayed there.Only changed my bed every other day. Great shower

It would be easy to write a bad review of this hotel as it's in receivership. But like most travelers I did my home work and knew that the pool was out of order ahead of time. That being said this place was exactly what I was looking for. A cheap ( around $35 a night ) place in a good location. My room was clean and the staff were nothing short of 5 star and even did my laundry for me at no charge. This price included standard continental breakfast. Great value for what you get

Very unorganized. Check in took forever. Hotel is dirty and outdated. Tv did not work when we arrived. Pool was out of order and was not told. Breakfast was practically frozen. Had to wait forever to check out because no one was at the front desk. No elevator. Mold on the shower curtain and tub did not drain efficiently. Will never be staying there again and would not recommend to anyone. Should of got our money back.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize your stay was less than expected. We apologize your TV was on the wrong input but it sounds like that was fixed for you. We do not have an elevator and unfortuately we have no plans on putting one in. The pool is not listed as an amenity online because it is closed pending delivery of the new water heater. Breakfast is a cold breakfast accept for the oatmeal and waffles and is something we offer even though we are not required to. Again we apologize and thank you for staying.

Incalled 3 times in 24 hours to make sure we had adjoing rooms to find out they gave away one of the rooms right before we got there. They said they would discount the rooms 30% for the inconvenience yet charged my account full price. The beds sagged. The couch was hard.

In regards to a discount when you check in your card is immediately authorized for the full amount of room and tax, this amount is settled at checkout however your bank can take 3 to 10 business days to finalize the charges. The first night we got there it was so cold in the room I had to sleep with my coat over me. It finally got warm for the second night. There was very little food at the breakfast.

We were disappointed that the Pool wasn't open and we heard it has been down for a long time. The breakfast wasn't good at all. They should have some hot foods like eggs and maybe some sausages at least. The room was clean and bed was okay.

I like that it was cheap. The staff were really nice, but there was no fire alarm in our room, there were holes on the lampshade, the bedding was old and the seams were coming out and the walls were paper thin. It just needs an update but I guess they wouldnt be that cheap.if you are out most of the day shopping and dont mind hearing your neighbors at night and saving money its a good deal. You get what you pay for.

Pool had no water, entire area was closed. we rented this motel to be able to use ther pool. IF there are closures then ORBITZ and or motel need to advise on The closure before purchase. EXTREMELY irritated and no discount given.

Well, walked to my room, pool was broken, which happens, nothimg im any vending machines except emlty beer and soda cans on top. Walles down the hall to my room, there was wiring hanging from the ceiling, half the hall lights didn't even work. The floorboard heater covers were off, exposing the hot coils on ome side of the hallway. Othersides floorboard heater cover was bent and extending into the middle of the hallway Luckily i did not have my child with me. Noticed no security doors on my entrace. Walked out tobmy park car and passed multiple broken scrren on windows. Their gym was closed and had a roll away bed blocking the door saying check with management, didn't even bother at this point. There were mini fridges scattered outside in the hallways from their rooms. Was greeted when i walked into the shower by two big black spiders, guessing they crawled up from the drain because the plig wasn't actually connected to the drain, but was sitting along the edge of the tub. In the morning was greeted by water bugs on the towels, when i flicked them off they scurryed into a giant gap between the wall and the trim im the bathroom. The sinks....marble? Was chipped and flaking off in the bathroom sink. Rust on the vents. Tv remote was either broken, dead, or not programmed to tv. Luckily didn't have much need for it. Staff was very very nice tho! Super friendly. Only good thing about the experiemce. Oh and their shower head had multuple settings, that was nice too.

Inderstandably a cheaper hotel, but wow. There we stains, black hairs all over the nasty bedding. All the pillows had stains, the towels had stains. There was food on the floor, rips in the comforters holes in the walls. Chipped pain all over the counter and smelled disgusting. Not only all this but then we find out there is no pool even though it shows a pretty nice one in the photos. Front desk Tells me its due to neglect. Go figure. We asked for a refund and left. Worst idea ever. Just DONT do it.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
Very dirty. Tub was rusty and the shower curtain was falling off. When the towels was wet it smelled bad. The bed had hair in it. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in months. There no pool or hot tub. The outside door did not lock or stay shut. Over all very poor.
