This hotel deserves all the positive reviews. I read the few negatives reviews and worried it might be too small and downtrodden. Between booking and arrival and I was delighted to find the resort was small, provincial and homey-in a GOOD way!
1. on site wedding is easy to do. We had 6 people total, not a large group, though there is a canopied area that can hold a larger party.
2.beach area is clean and waves are calm. At the end of high season there were always people around us but not too crowded. Able to get loungers together with our friends every day we were there.
3. Yuri provides great beachside service, including free access to float mats, noodles, snorkeling mask, kayaks and paddle boards, all easy to use on the calm bay. The desk also
provides easy access to paid excursions. The catamaran even comes to pick you up right from the hotel beach!
4. Grounds and housekeeping were Friday. Rena even brought us flowers on our wedding day! The property is gated and has overnight security, though it seemed unnecessary for folks who take reasonable precautions.
5. Was slightly worried some rooms would be out of date but ours had newer tile flooring, open shower area, which was convenient for swim days.
6. Hotel operates on European plugs sobering a converter or rent one from the gift shop.
7. Renovated pool area was great, had a jetted seating area and beach entry.
8. Met folks each day who had have years of staying at GCBC and I hope we can too.

This is our first time to visit St. Maarten, and we loved it!! Love Hotel is clean and wonderful. The friendly staff is fabulous, always willing to help with anything that is needed. They will even wait on you while you're sitting on their comfortable beach chairs, enjoying their beautiful beach. (The pitchers of Sangria are delicious!) Looking forward to visiting them again!
Nice hotel. Beautiful location. Very secluded. Located on the French side of the island. Loved the view of the mountains from all sides in the hotel. The grounds are very clean. The food over all was good. It's nice if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.
This is my third time at Blue Emeraude and I absolutely love it. Right on the beach with spacious apartment units. I have stayed in the 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom units and they are both great. The hotel provides a continental breakfast daily for no charge. There are lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach. There are only about 10 rooms in this little hotel and the staff is there in the mornings and late afternoons until about 7:30 PM. Frederick and Maya are great and will handle any of your transportation needs. This is not the hotel for those looking for a bar, gym and a lot of action. This hotel is for anyone looking for a spectacular view, large accommodations, and walking distance to fabulous restaurants. I can't wait to be back again next year.

My wife and I loved this place. Its located on one of the best beaches in St Martin. However you do need to be prepared for a challenging drive over the mountain/hill to get there, its very steep & a lot of curves but I think the drive just adds adventure. The view from the beach to the ocean is stellar. Our room was cute and sitting on our balcony in the morning drinking my coffee was very enjoyable. This area of St Martin is not so built up with condos so the beach is surrounded by large hills covered with vegetation. I heard one person on the beach saying it was like being on the beach on Gillian's Island. The restaurant/bar at the hotel was on the beach. The food was so excellent in both taste and presentation that you felt you were at a high end restaurant in some downtown setting. Their beach staff waiters were wonderful and hard working, always in motion walking a very fast clip and attentive to your needs whether you needed an extra beach umbrella or lunch or a drink. The beach chairs had nice cushions on them which was a upgrade beyond the all inclusive hotel that was next door. Stefan and his wife were the owners of the hotel who greeted you when you arrived and seemed intent on having you enjoy your time at their resort. The hotel maid staff always did a great job cleaning our room no matter how late we were in getting out for the day. My wife made me promise before we left that we would come back soon. After our 7 night stay we were not ready to come home
We were so happy with our stay at the Love residence...the room was just as pictured on the website, we had a gorgeous ocean front suite. It was wonderful to hear the waves washing over the beach at night, and even better to open the doors in the morning to take in the great view. The drinks at the bar were superb (we especially enjoyed the Pink Sangria) and the breakfast served in the morning was perfect; we really liked how eggs were made to order! The best part of the hotel was just sitting at the bar overlooking the gorgeous beach and taking it all in....can't wait to stay again!
Considered the restaurant capital of the Caribbean, Grand-Case features more than two dozen eateries on its mile-long main street. The town’s low-slung Creole architecture evokes the feel of France’s other New World possessions, such as New Orleans. Open to the public, the Grand Case Beach Club offers two beaches.
