room was overcrowded with furniture, and outdated. Restaurant overpriced. check in was understaffed. Plenty of amenities including a great fitness area. Water in the lobby was great.

Housekeeping exchanged 4 pillows out due to 7BED BUG BITES on me!! They also were stingy with extra rolls of toilet tissue with 3adults in our party. Property restaurants didn’t have very many GF options available ie, GF waffles/rolls/buns. Very disappointing! We ate off campus the majority of our 8 day stay. Very inconvenient!

Perfect location

Great base for explaining GC

Really happy that we stayed outside the park. Tusayan is just a few minutes away and was much quieter that the GC Village. By chance the hotel had one of the better restaurants in the area. The bed was so comfortable which was exactly what the doctor ordered after a 9 hour hike to the Indian Gardens.

Do not let the outside fool you.

Wonderful hotel and staff. When we pulled up i was not sure about the outside. Nice and clean but was expecting a more fancy hotel and location but when i went inside my expectations were met. Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, food was great at the buffet. Staff was helpful and friendly. There is a bowling alley, game room for families, bar with wonderful nachos and other food for adults. Great location for grand canyon. Took 5 minutes to enter park and only 30 a car load and car ticket good for 7 days. Would. stay here again.

Overpriced and outdated

We were very disappointed with our stay. Our room was small and dark. It needed renovation desperately. The bathroom was very small. My husband couldn't get milk for our coffee in the morning. When he asked at the front desk he was told that the allotment of milk was already used and it was 7:30 am. Cleaning lady knocked on the door before 8 am. We said we weren't checking out until 11, but she came back again before 10. We stayed in 6 hotels throughout AZ during our visit and this was the most expensive and least pleasing. I don't mind paying for the convenience of the location, but our experience was very disappointing.

They had there problems

Pros: The staff was very nice and accommodating. Indoor pool and hot tub. (spring break) Too cold for the out door pool. Bowling alley was nice.
Location: Close to entrance to Grand Canyon. Horse back riding just a mile down the street and airport/helicopter rides a mile in the other direction
Arrived at 4pm/check in time, room not ready. We had to wait until a room was ready, about 15 minutes. Staff was very accommodating and upgraded us to a deluxe room. (no real difference in the room size, just a name). The room they upgraded us to was designed for a wheel chair/handicap person. Shower only, no tub, and the shower head was about 4 feet high. I'm over 6 ft tall. We could deal with that but not the fact that the air conditioning didn't work. And an awful smell of what i can only describe as a mix of peroxide and Chinese food that was lingering in the air; and was worse in the bathroom. Gave it an hour but the smell still didn't go away. Back to the front desk. They provided us another room (original room) with no problem. The stay was nice, the rooms were alright, But your going to pay a lot to stay in the area that is that close to the entrance to the Grand Canyon. Last day, morning of check out. Toilet won't flush, not getting any water into tank. Load up our bags and go to car. Just outside the door of our building we have to walk through a flood (and I mean a lot) of water. Some type of broken water pipe - I guess we found out why the toilet wasn't working. Let them know at the front desk - again very nice, offered us another room to complete our morning routine to get ready for the day, but we declined, we were just ready to go. Credit card system was down the entire time also. Everything by paper receipt, old school way.
