Good hotel but lacking in a few respects
An enjoyable stay overall. 10€ per night extra for a dog was a little expensive. Pity the dog was not allowed on the outside terrace. Also, a walled in balcony/terrace would be better for a dog friendly room than one connected to several others. Fridge was not cold enough. Great coffee machine but only plastic cups? Also, only plastic, disposable glasses... could be more environmentally aware.

Great cheerful reception staff who were helpful. Beatuiful view and lovely spacious room. Very clean rooms . Regrettably the evening meal was extremely poor, very tasteless and seemed based on frozen ingredients. Wasn't sure if this caused my gastrointestinal attack but other travellors also stated the food was poor. Such a shame as the hotel is otherwise delightful.

It was nicely decorated, good location, lovely bathroom, clean, plenty of hot water. Good heating. The stairs in the room were a bit treacherous, as they were slippery. Reception was helpful. Beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant had a nice menu but somewhat limited for children. The food was a bit hit and miss. The fish and the artichokes were fantastic. All food beautifully presented. The paella, (and I'm from Valencia) was awful, more like a risotto and the rice was crunchy. Breakfast was of a good quality but there was not a huge selection. There is parking but it is limited.

Superb short stay in the Alpujarras
Hotel provided an ideal base to explore the area in the car, walking or bike. Stayed with wife and son and had a very roomy and comfortable 2 bed apartment with fantastic views out over the surrounding mountains. Food at hotel excellent quality and included a 3 course evening meal of the day for 15 euros. Village of Bubion was small but beautiful and considering it’s remoteness had several good quality bars and restaurants. The 2 other neighbouring villages were equally as good for facilities and access by country marked routes was first class - Pampaneira and Capileira. All staff at hotel excellent and very helpful. All in all a first class stay and would definitely return if in the area again.

Quiet hotel in cute village
Separate living to bedroom. Very clean and in a great location to visit the pretty hill towns/villages of Bubion and Capilleria. Both the dinner and the breakfast were of good quality with impeccable service.

Lovely hotel in quaint village
Stayed one night at the Villa de Bubion. Free parking. Staff very helpful. We were upgraded to a duplex apartment, which was lovely, with a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and a lounge and bedroom upstairs. Aircon worked well, although in September when we stayed, it wasn't really necessary - we just left the window open at night. We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. Residents can enjoy a 3 course dinner with appetiser for €12, and we really enjoyed our meal. We would definitely stay here when we next visit the Alpujarras.

Great base for exploring.
This is an ideal base for walking in the Poquera valley. Comfortable rooms and a good buffet breakfast although you have to find a cooperative staff member if you want freshly made coffee rather than the inferior stuff in the jug at the buffet. Overall, very good value. Wifi only in the main building.

Beautifil place but be ready to accept bad points.
nice concept of traditional local architecture made more modern for hotel accommodation. the hotel however is lacking proper maintenance. We have been visiting the place every year in past 4 years or so and pool and other features have some unattended faults which is a shame. Lighting in the room is abysmal (dark room not compensated by proper lighting but with flimsy poisonous mercury laden awful cold light emitting low energy bulbs. ) Pillows are too hard.

Overnight Stay for Las Alpujaras villages.
An overnight stay to explore the local villages and this was perfect. We had a 2 bed "apartment" which was comfortable but did not include a kitchen as you might expect. Not a problem for overnight but a kettle would have been good. It was quite cold and thoughtfully the A/C heating was on to warm the place for us. A nice touch. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

Stayed one night, easily worth two. Easy to find and well signposted. Breakfast good, but restaurant closed on night we stayed there. We now realise it is part of a small chain, all hotels look good. Two good walks head north from Capileira, the next village 1Km up the road. We did the 3.5 hr walk, but there is a 9 hr one!!! We ate in the Teide resteraunt, a short walk down the main road, very good. Overall, we would recommend this hotel, nothing to complain about and the rooms were large.

The beautiful Sierra Nevada
My wife & I stayed at hotel Villa de Bubion mid September for 2 nights. The hotel wasvery clean and in a great location. There was a good selection of food available at breakfast amd the staff were very friendly/helpful. Bubion itself is a small village with limited but adequate restaurants/bars but the neighbouring village of Capileira was very close with more facilities.we found the closeby mountain scenery wonderful. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting
Our room had a small patio and private yard, which was great for relaxing after a long hike. The separate living room was well furnished and looked out onto the patio/yard. The location is just at the edge of town and with very easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We hope to return for a longer stay and more hiking. Bubion and neighboring villages are beautiful!

Comfort in great location
Good friendly service overall, including dining room and waitstaff -- their English was good. Location good: Bubion and Capileira are the best of the villages, just far enough into the valley. Bed and bath upstairs and living room downstairs so be ready for stairs, but attractive rooms, pretty garden, spectacular views, pretty buildings. We really liked it and liked walking on lovely trails to Capileira.

Blissful in Bubion
We only stayed for one night but wished we had stayed longer. It was like having your own personal cabin in the mountains. There was our own outdoor area with a beautiful vista of the mountains. We could access the wi fi and nearby was a lovely mountain village with particularly nice bar/restaurant.

really nice hotel
This is a really nice hotel, clean and modern the only things I would change is the rooms need kettles/tea and coffee. Also its quite high up in the mountains along snaking roads. The staff are amazing and bent over backwards to help us, I was a real pain but they tried to help us.

La habitacion muy cálida, quizas una señal de wifi mas fuerte para las habitaciones que estan mas lejos la señal era baja y para los niños ver contenido infantil en tv, por lo demás todo excelente.
