We spent 4 days at this comfortable and clean hotel in Madrid and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves visiting the various well known cultural and fun tourist sites. The Hotel Atlantico was situated in a very central and ideal location for these activities with Metro underground rail stations and bus stops close by. There were also numerous quality shops, restaurants and theatres within easy walking distance of the hotel and we felt safe there at all times. The hotel staff were all very friendly and eager to pass on useful information and tips on places to go, good restaurants and best travelling arrangements etc.
I fell in love with the pictures of this Hotel. I love the clean classic/modern look of the rooms. The location is great on a busy walk-able street but you do not hear the noise from your room with windows shut. The hair dryer is really nice, it is not what you usually find in a hotel and the towels are over-sized. The terraces are wonderful with beautiful views. Upon arrival I was able to easily walk right outside to the Royal Garden and Palace and neighboring cathedral. Great restaurants within walking distance and an easy train ride to Salamanca for more upscale shopping. Would recommend.
It is a very charming hotel, with very attentive and friendly staff. Excellent location, beautiful historic building, and delicious breakfast buffet! Rooms are a little dated, but just enough to add historic charm. Beautiful quotes on the walls, hard wood floors, and terraces with breathtaking city views!
The hotel was centrally located and the breakfast was really good.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. However the rooms are small and the AC didn't work very well. We complained about the AC but the issue was not resolved
Hotel was very easy to find and it's in an excellent location for shopping in Gran Via and visits to main attractions in Madrid. I would suggest reserving superior rooms categories compared to standard for better comfort.
Musicals, hotels, shops and restaurants make the Gran Via a rich vein of entertainment, finishing in the east with the black dome of the Metropolis building. The heart of Madrid, the Puerta del Sol contains the statue of the symbolic bear of Madrid and Tio Pepe sherry sign. Westwards, the grand Plaza Mayor was once the site of inquisitions and executions, but is now mostly visited for its terrace cafes.
