Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel and staff, entertainment each night which was good The 3 doing all the activities and entertainment where very good and engaging Wide selection of food and snacks Only downside was the lift which was very warm during day Hotel could do with a bit of an update but apart from that we enjoyed it, great views We was in premium rooms and they are very spacious and clean so would suggest upgrading to these All in all we really enjoyed this hotel

Good holiday spot with nice view
The stay was nice generally hotel was clean but probably lack of staff causing no daily cleaning of rooms. Bar restaurant and around pool was all good. Staff was always friendly except one older bar staff who was very grumpy. At reception staff was very helpful always willing to help.

Hotel was dirty, pools dirty, couldn’t get beds, food area had birds flying around, some staff were rude, all inclusive was shocking, we had to upgrade to all inclusive plus to be able to eat and drink, rooms need a good clean and a refurb, only 1 loft worked dieting our stay, it’s all stairs, no use of you have mobility issues or a pram, definitely would not return ..

Dear Timothy,There is no record in our system that you expressed any complaint during your stay, nor that any type of compensation was agreed upon.We understand your discomfort with the inconvenient unpleasant presence of some cockroaches in the Apartment, but as you surely noticed, the Riosol Hotel is decorated with beautiful trees, flowers, and gardens and, as we do not like to use strong polluting poisons against nature, yes sometimes they manage to get into an Apartment.Though we understand that for any visitor from a colder country, cockroaches can be rare and exotic creatures, it would be well-nigh impossible for any accommodation in the Canary Islands to guarantee their absence of them as they are endemic to this subtropical area. However, any Hotel that scores well in the reviews will be bound to have a good spraying program, and the only time you'd be likely to experience problems is if the spraying is about to be redone.Our Sprays and programs have improved vastly over the last 10 years, and there are fewer problems nowadays within our premises, although there are as many cockroaches on the island.Please note that though evidence of cockroaches is a sign that the spray is no longer keeping them at bay, it says absolutely nothing about whether a Hotel is clean or dirty. Disgusting dirty hotel First it takes forever to find you room? No help just a map no signs and bad number system Found an infestation of cockroaches when I found my room Only 1 person on reception did not seem to care gave me another room!! Went to that room and a lady came to the door rather annoyed as she was in that room!! What a disorganised hotel. Was then told they would clean my to of cockroaches and I could then go stay there!!! This hotel is unfriendly and confusing layout and more importantly full of cockroaches.. we left and same time another customer was complaining of cockroaches… Don’t stay here!! Should not be on Expedia

Property was in a good location with nice views and good swimming pool. However the food and drinks quality was average at best. Specially for the veg options (hardly anything). At times the staff did make us a veg pizza but could have pizza in afternoon and evening every day of our stay. So basically average food with very little veg choices. Drinks in the all inclusive were average at best. All in all of for a few days stay at the price but could be better if they look into more better options for food and drinks. Apart from that free parking was available just few mins walk from the property and reception staff was good also.

Riosol reasonable
The riosol is very dated and in need of renovations no air con in the 1 bed apartments and they give 1 fan if available! Should have a fan for every room. Staff in reception very helpful but the service is very slow always queues in reception. Pool is lovely and clean can get beds from 830am, its early but not as early as some places. Snack bar food was fairly priced and happy hour on local drinks 4-5pm was good but not openly advertised so only found out after 6 days into holiday. We paid to use the roof top pool twice which was a lovely area but couldnt understand why not all beds didnt have a nice mattress? The second time someone went in at 10am put 1 towel on a double sunbed with mattress which is fine as he paid but he never returned all day as we left at 5pm and it closed at 6pm, his towel should have been moved to a single bed no mattress but thus wasn't monitored. 8 days of the holiday we had no use of the lift as it was broken so we endured many steps, just glad we were only half way down and not right at the bottom. For what we paid I would say the standard of the hotel was reasonable but many improvements are needed at this hotel to make it a more pleasurable stay.

Checked in at 2pm & checked out after 3 hours. We were in a room at bottom of property, lifts didn’t work, so had to walk up & down multiple flights of stairs. Room very dated with no aircon, impossibility hot with a smell of damp in all rooms.

We apologize for the inconvenience you had with ants in the Apartment, but as anyone can surely notice, our Resort is surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers, gardens and it would be well-nigh impossible for any Hotel in the Canary Islands to guarantee the absence of them as they are endemic of this subtropical area. Obviously, we try to avoid them by a good pest prevention program managed by a specialized company, but although our Sprays and fumigation programmes have improved vastly over the last 10 years and there are fewer problems nowadays within our Hotel, yes sometimes ants manage to get into a room. Recently the European standard for fumigants used in accommodations has changed for the use of weaker and safer products, this has turned pest control into a harder but healthier task, making it impossible even for specialized companies to assure 100% protection against insects. It must be noted that though evidence of ants is a sign that the spray is no longer keeping them at bay; it says absolutely nothing about whether a Hotel is clean or dirty. I was traveling with a woman who does not have good legs and she uses a walker, we travel a lot, but i was not prepared for all the stairs and hill to get to our room. for a supirior 2 bedroom apartment, i also expected more comfort and better outside furnitures. pool area and Star bar area (additional 10.- a day) was very very good!!

Fantastic view from balcony (1 bed apt), hotel looks great after renovation only restaurant looks like "MC Donald" I didn't feel comfortable there. The food is still OK but now you have to stay in the queue if you need for example eggs/any hot meat/fish..

Great Apartments with fantastic views
Great apartments nestled at the very top with fantastic views of Puerto Rico. Modern rooms, very clean with large balcony.terrace area. My only disappointment was not being able to sunbathe around the swimming pool as all the sunbeds were taken......or majority with towels but no occupants!

We had a great week at riosol hotel, staff were friendly, room immaculate and food fantastic! The girls that ran the daily activitives were so happy and enthusiastic, they were great with the kids. Some areas are a little run down but you can see them working to improve and the new areas are very stylish and immaculately clean. Only major downside was the beds :( very very uncomfortable so didnt sleep well all week. Local beach is beautiful and the hotel ran a free shuttle to and from which was perfect. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us!

Breakfast buffet is excellent. Wide variety of food to choose from. Thanks to the cook and service staff for preparing healthy meal to keep us fit. Every night different shows to watch. There are programs in between for all ages. Rooms are ok with a great view from the terrace. A comfortable sofa bed would be nice though. Hotel personnels are very accomodating and friendly.

Riosol Stay 2019
Although building work in progress and lifts not yet finished it had no impact on our stay as a courtesy car was laid on to assist with getting between floors if required. The staff were excellent, especially the receptionist, Ricardo I think, and the chef with a beard who was always cheerful and joking. The pool attendant who had a particularly difficult job with the morning sun bed races was very pleasant and helpful and did his best to monitor the beds and would then remove towels of people taking liberties if they did not return within an adequate timeframe. The all inclusive food was the best we have had in any all inclusive hotel so far, so, great credit for this and a good selection for all tastes. Room spotless and always kept that way daily and a balcony with amazing views. Great hotel which I'm sure will be even better once all the ongoing improvements are completed.

Breakfast, dinner are something amazing. Never repeated, I couldn't wait until the next meal. Staff are very nice and friendly, hotel rooms are decent, nice landscape. I will repeat in 2020. Great Swimming pool. Congratulations to the people who manage this hotel.

Very help full staff ,in good location. The hotel lifts where out of order (the hotel is built into the clif) which ment a very lot of stairs to get to the pool ,restaurant and reception, so not for the faint hearted. But helped to worked off all the food we had eaten. The hotel is having work done which is on going .. on and on .... I was in a basic room which was ok for what I paid .. but could do with painting and a bit up dating. The food was amazing .. (but could have done with a microwave at times to heat things up.. (We where last week which was out of season so might reflect this) I was all inclusive , which had some restriction .. which could be explianed or given a leaflet on arrival to let u know what they are ..we had to ask others what they were! The entertainment was ok!!! but was in a small foyer.. as the bar down stairs was closed. Over all I enjoy my stay
