Great location right next door to Faro (lighthouse). Internal decor is elegant. Has good pool facilities & beach just across foot path. Room was impeccably presented. Staff very friend & attentive. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. One downside is parking (if you’ve hired a car), it quite pricey but we managed to park a block away on street side.

Luxury and ease is my best description of this hotel. The whole experience from parking up outside through check in and beyond was very easy. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms luxurious, views to die for and service that makes you feel like a VIP. The restaurants and bars are amazing, plus it's adults only so you have as much peace and quiet as you like and if you want more of a buzz then book into the Blue Marlin Ibiza on the roof for more of a party vibe. This is a winning combination. The panoramic views of the ocean and the sand dunes are breath taking. The location in Meloneras is my favourite on the island. There is lots of shopping, bars and restaurants just as you step out of the hotel plus a taxi rank should you not have a car or not wish to drive. Highly recommend and I will certainly be back to this hotel early next year.

Generally, it was a lovely hotel. It's been very recently renovated, so everything was clean and fresh. The room was modern, breakfast was lovely and the staff were generally very helpful. Unfortunately though, I found it quite hard to actually relax in this hotel due to noise and interruptions. It seemed like there was a different staff member to clean the room, another to check the mini-bar, another to change towels, another to offer you a chocolate, another to do the turn down... This was the case for each of our group, and the Do Not Disturb sign was not always respected. As well as this (ignoring the club on the roof) the music at the bar, restaurant and pool deck (while pleasant) were just too loud to be able to enjoy. It was especially hard to relax on a sun lounger at the pool when someone was literally blowing a saxophone a few metres away from you. I feel like this hotel has great potential - it just needs to tone down the noise and let people relax - then it would be a 10/10.

This hotel is a real find! Stunning location and facilities. Amazing, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. All staff are super helpful, efficient and friendly. Food is delicious at breakfast and amazing evening buffet too. Great value given the quality. Some silly “rules” and “enforcers” did t really detract from an overall very impressive experience.

As always, superb
This is our third visit and now wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Maspalomas. The location is ideal and the service is fantastic. Staff cannot do enough for guests. The quality of the breakfast is excellent. I can’t comment on dinner because we go out, but the pool service is very good daytime. All in all great experience at this low key 5* gem

The pool area wasn’t crowded and nicely laid out.
The Room although narrow had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel arranged for a different pillow option. The location is excellent with many restaurants nearby. We found the dinner in the hotel expensive for what was offered (although the accompanying salad bar is excellent.) Staff very attentive.

Das Hotel ist sehr dunkel sowohl die Zimmer wie auch die anderen Bereiche, das hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen. Das Design der Zimmer ist nicht funktionell und gefällt mir persönlich nicht sonderlich. Das Essen sowohl das Frühstück wie auch das Abendessen machen auf den ersten Blick einen sehr guten Eindruck. Jedoch ist die Qualität einiger Produkte nicht sonderlich gut. Hier wird mehr wert daraufgelegt das alles schön aussieht. Die Lage ist Top und das Personal sehr freundlich und alles sehr sauber. Aber es sind die kleine Dinge die den Unterschied machen. Ich habe mich nicht sonderlich wohlgefühlt und werde nicht wieder kommen.

Overall this is a really great hotel. The interior & style is on point, rooms are great with huge rain showers and excellent design throughout. The biggest praise must be to the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful and by day 2, the breakfast manager knew my name and room, which was so impressive. The negatives are small but worth a little mention as it is an expensive hotel. The rooftop infinity pool & area is not open yet, which meant the poolside was a little crowded. Around the pool are Bali beds, but you have to pay a very high price to use them, which I don’t think is acceptable. Incidentally in my 5 days I didn’t see them used. The breakfast is good, and so is the other food I tried. However as a vegetarian, there is no non-meat option from the room service and seeing as the dinner buffet was 60euros, I’m glad I didn’t pay for this as the menus were majority meat. However the hotel is right on the beach and having breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful way to start the day. The area is away from the main tourist area but there are plenty of restaurants around and a small supermarket opposite. The restaurants do get booked up so worth bearing this in mind. By far the best staff I’ve ever met and this is by far a reason to book!

Great location & views; on beach & next to dunes; nice promenade on beach. Bus stop 5 mt walk (although we had rental car). Clean & comfortable. Great, plentiful buffet breakfast. Ate buffet dinner one night; lots of options, but only one fish choice, & they charged for water. Pleasant & helpful staff. Lots of shopping, restaurants, groceries nearby. It’s a shame they charge (2 euro/day) for in room internet (free in lobby areas); & charge to use in room safe!

Disappointing return
I stayed at IFA Faro 3 years ago and thought it was great so was looking forward to staying again. However, it has gone down in standard in that time. I paid extra for a superior room which I assumed would directly overlook the sea. It didn’t; I had a sidelong glance over the sea and a building site. Regarding the building site, I appreciate that IFA has no control over this work but other hotels post warnings about current work; they did not. Being woken at 8am on my holiday by drills and other large machinery wasn’t great. Although the breakfast was still splendid, the evening meal was not. There seemed to be a distinct re-use of the sad leftovers from breakfast into a tired array of bizarre “salads”. Hot food was also available and was ok but I suggest to the management that it would benefit from focussing on quality in a few dishes rather than many average to poor dishes. Service was also variable. Some staff were perfectly pleasant. However, a couple were surly to say the least. One barman in particular seemed to take a dislike to my friend and I referring to him at one point as “that boy” (we’re both 40). We both felt that our attempts to speak Spanish were rather sneered at despite the staff being perfectly happy to speak English to their multitude of German guests. Why did it seem that we were also the only ones checked at every meal for our room cards as though proving we were suitable for the hotel? In summary, I won’t be returning to IFA faro.

Idyllic in every way, fabulous location.
It was a breath of fresh air to stay at the IFA Faro Hotel, we were made welcome from the time we entered the reception area with our luggage until the day we departed for home. Attention to detail was incredible and the service in all areas was exceptional. The breakfast was superb, an incredible selection and the waiters and waitresses so friendly and attentive, as was all the reception staff, concierge and chambermaids. I am so looking forward to my next visit and would love to bring other family members along to also enjoy the wonderful IFA Faro hospitality. We requested an upgrade on our room before we arrived and on arrival were given room 1507 on the 5th floor, with fabulous views over the sea and the most glorious sunsets every evening. Room was very spacious, well furnished with superbly comfortable double bed, spacious balcony with two sun loungers, small table and two chairs. The lovely swimming pool along with a large jacuzzi, so well situated, just a few steps away from the beach. We were on bed an breakfast basis, as we we were advised of the wealth of lovely restaurants in the Lopesan Boulevard just a short walk beyond the lighthouse. Saying this we could see that the guests that were on half or full board said that the lunch, dinner and pool bar areas all provided delicious food with varied menus, at all times. A great hotel, food, location, service, facilities all of the highest standard. Highly recommended.

excellent hotel close to beach
Initially we did not get the room we expected. It took 2 days before we were transferred to a suitable room. We felt that we were being unfairly treated. The hotel staff member at the time of arrival stated that the hotel was overbooked.This gave us the impression that we were NOT valued customers.Eventually were transferred.

Great deal via Expedia which may account for the dark room and balcony allocated. Tremendous location, close to all restaurants and shops and the still fabulous beach despite the recent storms. Enquired about an upgrade on arrival and was quoted a ridiculously expensive rate per night! A/c not working- they said it was but with all their lobby doors wide open the system was obviously at reduced speed and cost- 3 times the technician attended the room and said it was fine- not at 27 degrees! Bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast fine- cooked variations on the greasy side.

Tolle Lage, saubere schöne Zimmer und Hotel, Pool Landschaft schön, nur der Service ist verbesserungsbedürftig, sowie dass man für die Bali Day Betten am extra 75€ zahlen soll. Das Essen ist für ein fünf Sterne Hotel durchschnittlich, wir waren dort nur einmal essen. Sonst gibt es in der Umgebung aber viele Möglichkeiten, wo man gut essen kann. Insgesamt ist es ein schöner Ort und wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Sehr sauber, das Personal ist extrem nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist sehr gut (Frühstück, Mittag und Abendessen). Um das Hotel kann man gut joggen, es gibt viele Läden und Shoppingmöglichkeiten und Touren und sonstige Aktivitäten können ebenfalls einfach gebucht werden. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Es un hotel estupendo, muy moderno. Tiene amplias habitaciones. La cama es muy cómoda, la ducha estupenda, el desayuno inmejorable, con una extensa oferta de productos. Y el personal muy amable. Tiene acceso directo a la playa desde la piscina. Y las hamacas de la piscina son comodísimas. En fin, es un hotel de 10.
